I used to be stuck in Safe. Now Safe is only a recovery option if I lose orientation. It is great to get out of safe as soon as you can because then you have 100% control of the aircraft. With Safe off, landings are much easier. That’s some good flying though.
I find it easier to get the plane low to the ground and touch down further away from you instead of trying to touch down right infront of you. Great planes! I have a piper cub, f-4u and a mustang. I just started flying myself.
The plane it is modelled after was designed from the get-go as a trainer for the US Air Force and Navy. As such, it has both forgiving flying characteristics and full aerobatic capability. And definitely looks like a fun plane to fly.
There's a lot of things a Trojan will do. "Popping up on take-off isn't one them. That last landing you nailed it. Once you learn to fly a Trojan properly, you can fly just about anything. Well done.
Good job Haley I can't wait to see you fly the P-51 mustang talk about a thrill, also the plane that holds the most history of all planes ever built. I'm 61 years old been flying planes 21 years plus and of all planes I've flown over the years the P-51 is a thrill that is unimaginable especially if you know the history. Can't wait to see you with one in the air.
Working my way through RC girls videos and I have to say her humble and soft spoken just super lovable personality is so darn cool, i haven’t flown in 3 years, these videos had me renew my MAAC membership just yesterday.
Hayley, Hello from the Southeast USA. Hope you doing well. Good to have met you on the "Pilot Ryan Media Channel". Great bunch of folks over there. Just wanted to drop by and congratulate you on your progression with RC planes. Sure would like to meet you and your family at Pilot Ryan's Fly-in at Imperial RC, in Mulberry, FL. You would get to meet a lot of fans out there. I subbed your channel during your interview with Ryan. P.S. That new Eflite-T28 is a really nice plane. I have a few varieties of that model myself. :)
This just showed up when I got on break, something to watch - instead of looking! Perfect timing. You can tell people that you were pretending to skip rocks 😃
Great flying . You have all the skills to be a good pilot . The thing holding you back is confidence . you get that with regular flying until you feel comfortable in the air .
Of all the years I've been flying I still take those deep breaths just like you before take off and after landing. LOL. Just can't stop myself. Probably more so nowadays than in my earlier years because my site and reflexes are not what they once was.
...I learned to fly last summer, on all high wing 3S type trainers...I recently flew my first low wing airplane, this HH T-28 yellow model on 4S and really like it...... ....thanks
I'm not sure what the wind was doing but generally you want to approach your landing in the same direction you takeoff, into the wind, unless it's a cross wind then you just takeoff and land in the direction you're most comfortable with. But the key is consistency. Nice work, I think I'm going to pick this up as a warm up plane. Something to fly before I put a tail dragging warbird in the air.
I too just bought this 1, my original t28 is 4 years old, no safe. Having never used a flight simulator I went from a timber with safe to flying inverted and knife edging with a valiant in 4 months, getting over wrecking a plane loosens you up much like a drink at a bar.
3rd time is a charm those planes are so crazy light they just wanna keep flying so its best to get low in the sky and stretch you approach way out away!
I can hear your breaths… it’s so loud ! If I fly you probably can hear my heart pounding like a drum! Quite honest video. I love it. I would buy this and try someday…
Well done! Your flying coach is right, throttle down before you turn on final. Try to have the wheels touch in front of you. Remember, never throttle back to idle until the wheels are about to touch. War bird flying. 😀
She just likes to start her final from the moon lol. This thing glides so well you can dead stick it all the way in! I also tried stalling it at altitude and could barely get it to do so. It definitely doesn't have the typical warbird characteristics and is a blast to fly!
RC Girl your enthusiasm is infectious and Mtn. Mike I really, really like the way you fly... RC Girl that "out of focus" 4S landing was textbook, don't change a thing... Brava/Bravo..
Great , another video! This channel is very good…images quality, sound, editing, very nice to watch format Imho…of course always nice to see more women flying RC planes. Congrats and hugs from Brazil…keep recording and keep flying. Cheers
I flew my first hobby grade plane (Carbon Cub S2) yesterday and couldn't believe how nervous I was! Reassuring to see it's not just me. Great video and great skills.
Nice job RC Girl Awesome plane I love the WWII warbirds Defiantly my favorite planes Glad you're having some nice weather I haven't got to fly in over a month The weather sucks here in NC lol Happy flying to ya Cheers
I'm a car guy, real and RC, but i Love these videos. I'd not get into flying as I would destroy anything first flight but love to watch your experiences. Great videos as always, look forward to the next
That looks a great little plane, and you did a great job flying it! I had a dog attack and bite my xmaxx at a park last summer. He bit through one of my belted tires! Oh well, could have been my foot. I have spare tires, no spare feet.
If you want to have even more fun shootin landings dial in some flaperons with a little down elevator, slows down like a champ! My favorite go to flyer! Keep up the good work
I’m sure you know this, but for me, once I had progressed through 4 or 5 high wing taildraggers, I got a T-28. All was well except for the landings. BUT THE 2nd T-28, things started to click. Flying was never an issue, but the flaring on approach and trusting the T-28 wasn’t going to tip stall turned out to be an expensive learning curve.
Nice job flying! I have an original Trojan with the white, red, black color scheme. Love it although I haven’t flown it in a long time. Maybe it will be up in the air this summer.
Love the filmography in this one! Props to mountain Mike. You guys should make some epic crawler adventure video. I saw the drone footage in the SCX10III vid but it's not the same
Your becoming a pro Hailey!! Super great video! I love how excited you get when your all happy with a great flight! So do you like cars or planes the best or both the same!!! Take care and keep on saying sweeeeeeeeeet ; ) Fair winds! Doug
Way to soldier on for that second day. LOL! When my day goes like that I just feel like, maybe I shouldn't fly cuz the gods are not in my favor? LOL! Especially when the motor quit. Ha! What happened to the motor leads? That was a bit odd Haley. Oh and that last landing was so super greasy!!! Awesome!! - Lauren
SMALL TIP. That was great and I love the yellow in the sky, try landing close to you, that way you see what the plane is doing and your reactions are automatically correct. If you are to far away throttle up, go round and try a new approach. Well done, keep it up you can do it.
We've got an old saying in Texas. If you don't like the weather, just give it a few minutes, it'll change. It's going be about 70 here in Galveston county today. Lol.
Next thing is approaches' When at your field of choice, always set your touch downs before the model reaches you, or right in front of you' Cause once it passes you, its more cumbersome to stick a landing and you will be running out of room to do a full stop or take off again.
Wow, it’s not the plane's performance that impressed me, I know what an awesome flyer the T-28 is.. but You’re performance and his in shooting those super nice video shots. It was very impressive to see how well you were able to keep the plane in sharp focus while zoomed in so tight, even as his body came into the frame .. The other shots that REALY look Great are the drone shots while the drone was apparently flying backwards, and shooting the T-28 coming in to land.. that must take a lot of skill and luck to do. Great 👍 Job 😍. thanks
thanks! yeah it took us a bunch of tries to both stick a great landing, and also get it in frame of the mavic mini lol One of my best landings I think!!
Great video , Good flying on your war bird. @ 16:10 during the video, Is that a H-King Voltigeur in the back of the truck ? @ 12:40 good to see Mike anticipated the torque roll on full throttle takeoff. Good flying Mike. @ RC girl, I send your video links to girls I know to attempt to get them interested. My local AMA flying club has 1 female member and she is also the club treasurer.
Yes it sure is a Voltigeur! It's a blast to fly with upgraded motor, prop, and esc on 4s! I think it was really underpowered stock. The T28 doesn't pull super hard left as the motor is pointed down and to the right, but I love a straight takeoff!
I used to be stuck in Safe. Now Safe is only a recovery option if I lose orientation. It is great to get out of safe as soon as you can because then you have 100% control of the aircraft. With Safe off, landings are much easier. That’s some good flying though.
12:21 yep, that special moment of happiness and pride.
Old country boy. My flight simulator is a field and hot glue. Glad you share mishaps. Honestly!
I love watching your progress in this hobby! Can't beat that smile and pure joy when you nail those landings! Keep up the good work!
I find it easier to get the plane low to the ground and touch down further away from you instead of trying to touch down right infront of you. Great planes! I have a piper cub, f-4u and a mustang. I just started flying myself.
75 degrees and a bright yellow E-Flite. Days don't come a lot better than that.
Love the move at 12:22. That well exhibits the feeling you have when you're growing in the hobby and can put it on the ground with finesse. Well done!
The plane it is modelled after was designed from the get-go as a trainer for the US Air Force and Navy. As such, it has both forgiving flying characteristics and full aerobatic capability. And definitely looks like a fun plane to fly.

Awww shucks. Now if only I knew anything about rc cars lol
@@mtnmykebut you do... 🤷🏼♀️
@@RCGirl I only know how to go fast and roll them down stairs. Good thing I have you to fix them!

You flew really well girl👌
That plane sounded so good under load!
Loved the video, can't wait to see more, thanks for sharing.👍🦘🇦🇺
Awesome job on the flying& landings!
Working my way through RC girls videos and I have to say her humble and soft spoken just super lovable personality is so darn cool, i haven’t flown in 3 years, these videos had me renew my MAAC membership just yesterday.
The most adorably attractive RC pilot I have ever seen. Nice flying.
Awww. Thanks :) Oh, you mean RCGirl lol
@@mtnmyke 😂
Its nice to see a lady fly planes for a change great video keep it up .
I learned with the old version. When I got comfortable with it, I adjusted the control rods to get more control deflection and it’s pretty aerobatic.
I may have already done that 😁
LOL, watching the dog try to fetch your plane was awesome! Thanks for posting :)

You really make me feel like I could learn to fly one of these planes halfway decent. I'm gonna pick up the sim.
Great flying and great landings, Hayley. Well done! It looks intimidating flying with an audience, but you cope well.
hol' up

if you have any throttle at all this thing wont land.
T28 is definitely a great flying plane but highly recommend the eflite t28 1.2. I really feel it's the best flying of all the t28's out there!

Very good skills improvement 🥰 nicely done on the 4th flight 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🥳
Ending was well thought out liked it great video chica
Landings 3 and 4 looked awesome and smooth. If I ever actually get into flying I have a goal to obtain.
I flew my first hobby grade plane (Carbon Cub S2) yesterday and couldn't believe how nervous I was! Reassuring to see it's not just me. Great video and great skills.
Haha i pretty much get nervous every time... especially on a maiden.
Fun video! First couple landings were bouncey but the last 3s flight as a greaser! You getting good with warbirds!

Trust me I’m in the exact same boat 🥺😅 with you , I was even sweating bullets watching you attempt each landing. “ Keep on Keeping “ Cheers 🥂
You are definitely getting the hang of landing. Great job by mike landing when the engine cut out. Plane sounds great on lows passes
I bought a small T28 and then watched a video that said a warbird should definitely not be your first plane. Lol . I learned!
Sweet vid thanks! Just picked up the citation longitude and having a blast with it.
Awesome video! That T-28 looks so cool. I want one! 🤗
All in all, still a lot of fun, so lucky she glides well. I think the dog wants ago. Great video 👍🏻

Great job! I am pumped to fly mine as soon as the weather clears up.
Nice plane. I like to power all the way down and glide in for landing. Always work great for me.
Looks like a nice upgrade for me. I'm still poking around with my Aeroscout 1.1s. Great flying!

Awesome save Mike👍 and I'm lovin this chick😍
Thanks! I thought that car was going to put a quick end to my save. Usually cars know not to drive in front of us while flying!
A little wind is your friend. Helps with both take off and landing.
Hi RC Girl. Great fly. Watch your speed for the landing. Smooth speed = good landing. Best regards from New Caledonia.
Good Job Guys! Like the Drone shots Mike. I was watching Haley Land almost into the Ski Jump I took at the end of the Run way with the Valiant. HA!
When she was headed toward it I had a flashback of your Valiant jumping off that thing! This T28 and the Valiant sure like to glide!
Hi mad mike! We miss you at skypark. Come fly sometime ✌🏻
