I am Iranian living in America and after tasting foods from everywhere in the world the following is my ranking of the best to worst foods in the world:
1) Yemenite food: they do magic with spices and meat, even better than some of our own Iranian dishes.
2) Palestinian/ Jordanian
3) Persian
4) Afghan
5) Iraqi Syrian Saudi Egyptian and most other Arab foods
6) Brazilian
7) Armenian
8) Indonesian/ Malaysian, a lot of creativity in their dishes, though their desserts are baaad
9) Thai/ Laotian /Cambodian: soo creative in mixology of ingredients to perfection
10) Lebanese
11) Bangladesh
12) Nepalese
13) Indo Pakistani
14) Moroccan (taste is good but their portion size is stingy)
Worst food in the world are
1) Turkish: consistently stingy on posrtions specially protein and tasteless , while only looking soo good😢
2) Chinese: no creativity, too few ingredients, lots of oil
3) Vietnamese: no taste, nothing but noodle and MSG!
, I beg to defer , 80 years old Iranian here. Iranian food is one of the best ,no doubt about it , But CHANIS are superior. Reason , they have 10,000. Years of experience, there cooking , there spices and how to mix it and there skill with knife and chapping. First Chinese, second Japanese, third Iranian food ,. If I would have choice ,I go to Persian Restaurant, Is familiarity!

Those foods look amazing. I’m sure they’re super delicious. But, What I’ve noticed there was hardly any meats in their stews. Their Gheymeh looks more like Indian Daal split peas. And Ghormeh Sabzi looks more like a Vegetable Soup. Where’s the beef?

We don’t put larg amount of meat in our stews, specially in gheymeh and ghormeh sabzi. That’s the beauty of these types of foods in my opinion.

I beg to differ. As far as I remember. Back in a days, amount of meat in those traditional stews were sign of prosperity. Besides, those stews were designed to have meat in them. Otherwise it would’ve been a vegetarian dish called something else. Finally, The main reason meat is extremely expensive by putting more meat. You’re gonna have to charge more. And not too many people would buy them.

Me too! I am Iranian and in my seventies. I've never seen any restaurant to serve different food especially the stews on one plate like this! I don't understand why they show such a thing when is not true 😬
I am Iranian and I absolutely love it this way, It makes no sense to me to have only one taste in my meal, even if it is the best stew in the world.
But having at least 3 distinct tastes like gheyme, ghorme and koobide or mahiche is the right way of having a good meal.
