Bless you mate! seen the real side of you when your little girl walked in- big softy lol!
Must be the neighbours kid - far too pretty to be a relation of Jon’s!😁
Please make a best awards 2019 video mate . Really helps . All the best . God bless
Thanks for the product reviews mate. Really appreciate the time and effort you put in. Dont worry about what other channels are doing - I've been detailing for years and yours is the main channel I use for honest, no nonsense and detailed reviews, particularly for products I haven't tried yet. You and PVD have got it nailed. You've got a loyal following here so keep up the good work. Merry Xmas.
Thanks for all your great info! Its guys like you that spend their time helping us (detailers and weekend warriors) to understand things we are needing, but not sure if it is what we want until you do GREAT REVIEWS! THANK AGAIN!
And the gold place for this year’s UA-cam heartwarming moment goes to your daughter! Merry Christmas to you and your family 👍🏻
Can't believe it has been a year since the last one, honestly mate huge thanks to you for testing the 100's of products and coming up with the top 3. Can not imagine the time gone into these videos, all the best for 2018, you def deserve to get more eyes on these videos

brilliant video and very helpful as always! thank you for taking the time out to make great content for us!
fanage! the new word i will now use to describe the way a product is expelled from a spray head, made me chuckle that, great vid, seasons greetings to you and looking forward to more in 2018 from the Forensic Detailing Channel.
Always a pleasure watching your videos mate. Saw the notification pop up on my phone and couldn't wait to get home to watch it lol. Keep up the good work!! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family.

Nice one Jon - some great products in there. Merry Xmas and All the Best for 2018!
Glad that you didn't decide to drop the video John! Hope you do a 2018 version at the end of next year as well!
Regarding Sonax BSD, i am currently mixing it 50 : 50 with Adams detailing spray (as you found in your Detail spray review the Adams is super silky) I find it is a great combo, retaining the beading characteristics of the Sonax but without the negatives.
Great vid as always jon. I just want to thank you for all the info and help you've shared through the channel .I hope you and your family have a great Christmas and that santa delivers everything that little angel wants 👍
Great video as always! Merry Christmas and happy new year to you too!

Great vid again john😊 as a weekend warrior I find ur recommendations and reviews priceless as there are so many products out there it is a minefield which could get very expensive. Love the Bilt Hamber products and find the auto foam superb at 4% on the panel via pump sprayer or foam lance. Keep up the good work m8 and wish you and a happy xmas/new year👍
thanks john for a great 2017
Great informative video. I personally love these all around year best products. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for a great review! You have really opened my eyes to so many products after years of just using autoglym at the weekend! The Bilt Hamber products are top draw ! Thanks again & happy Xmas to you & your family

Angelwax Sweden
I wish I had found your channel before I went ahead and ordered a load of products. Great and really helpful video.
thanks mike appreciate it merry xmas and new year mate
Can't argue with any of the final outcomes there mate. Brilliant as always and thanks for the shout out, always get a little jolt when I get a mention 😂
:) cheers brian appreciate it mate
such a great and entertaining video
I love your videos mate. Thank you for taking the time to educate us who don't have the coinage to buy ALL the products to be able to make a judgement whether it's good or not.
You explain everything exceptionally well.
Your daughter is gorgeous ! May God Bless you and your family.
Cheers mate !
thanks for the kind words Tony.. god bless you to sir.
Best lead in since the goggles and smoke. Merry Christmas Jon!
Have a great Christmas Jon thanks for putting out some seriously good videos 😉🎬
legend cheers paul merry xmas to you to buddy
Brilliant award vids Sir, gave me a few good ideas for hubby Christmas prezzies. Keep up the great reviews husband is a subscriber to the channel.
Great explanation on the two. Going to get sonax bsd and give it a go.
I agree with you about glossworkz, that shampoo is really good, suds+slick+smell
I've used it only once but feels like a step up from my previous shampoo.
Carpro Pearl is starting to annoy me, it always tend to be greasy on me, wether i use it on tire at 1:1 dilution, or on the interior at a lower ratio. You always have to come back to it and buff it well to avoid greasy touch. It's still a good product because of the versatility, but i hope to see an improvement on the formula to make it less greasy.
One product i recently discovered is the Polishing soap P21S. Really good product on exhaust, feels great to use with the sponge and the lather that it produce to clean and polish is something i really like. Hope you get to try it in the future mate
Your daughter is ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FWIW, Grimeout is my favorite degreaser for sure! So versatile. May not be the best value, but it sure performs!
Great video. Thanks mate
Great work!
Buddy your little girl made this video better that it already was, God bless her, a lot of good information here, great advises.
Glad to see that my choice of Bilt Hamber products is confirmed by a professional. Given me some great ideas for other product to buy as I learn to properly detail my cars.
bilt hamber are just such a solid brand. products developed where they just take the leading offering in a certain field and formulate something that out performs it. And its all good value...
Wasn’t expecting an erect santa’s hat 😬.
Great video. Much respected recommendations.
Wishing you and your family a very merry christmas.
Great video again I've learnt so much in the last month since I've subscribed now I'm hooked blame my mate for that. I've got so much more to learn and going through the vids slowly. in annoyance to my family but tuff ha ha have a great and wonderful xmas to you and your family all the best and look forward to seeing your next vid
HAPPY XMAS and NEW YEAR
would be really good to see a review/test on here of the detailing products dedicated for MATT paint and wraps , I'm seeing more and more cars at shows and as customer cars in Matt finishes. There is very little information or product reviews on how to care for them out there and the in depth style you have would be great for this. also definitely think you should do a brand review on AMMO car care.
nice work john
Great vid. I buy a lot of my products based on these vids. The drying towel is epic.
What happened to the dust n bones detail spray though?
What do you think of the Gyeon Bathe?
Very good reviews 1&2 and will change a couple of products next refill time.
At least I will have you to blame 😜
Nice video. Mabye review some Wolfgang or polish angel products. They seem to be on the expensive side too.
Thanks great video tried angel wax products thanks to your recommendations and now makes up most my kit, i do find dodo juice stuff good as well just a bit more costly. Just tried Chemical Guys Clear Liquid Extreme Shine and love it. keep up the good work
Gonna note some of these down to get for next summer. Wouldnt of heard of these products if i didnt see your vids. Need a wheel brush and cleaner
Also forgot to mention but can carpro perl be used on other coloured dashes as my car has a red dash and dont want to apply something designed to make black surfaces shine
Hi, i have really enjoyed your videos. After this one i have been looking for a good anti fog type of glass cleaner and have taken the plunge and ordered some of that Autoperfekt N1 glass to try out. Do you know how well it works on tints?
What about in2ds drynosaur drying towel? Thought that would atleast be in the top3. Should i choose silverback instead? Going to do an order before christmas. And thanks for awesome vid as always jon!
Klin korea duo drying towel the best for me, try it if you haven't already, great video john.
Great vlog John, one I now look out for a Christmas. I've just started using Sonax BSD again as we go into the Winter and as you say it water beading properties are amazing, however the spray head is probably one of the worst units out there. I'm going to decant it just to make life easier. Cheers, Kevin
yer that trigger is f'ing useless.. If you pump it hard and fast it does fan a bit more... a lot of companies fail with their triggers. the worst are those small ones that hardly put out any products.
Buy a Flairosol fine mist bottle and tap your BSD in it. It works great with this bottle and spreads fantastic. A little tip from me :D They are expensive but look at Ebay or get the original from Holland.
You need to try Ultima products, the paint guard and the interior guard is ace and the shampoo
excellent as always, bank account got a whack tonight as it did in last years awards :)
Fantastic video can you test some auto smart products & some powermaxed products
Excellent channel just joined really enjoying your vids :) Merry Christmas :)
welcome to the channel pete. merry xmas to you as well buddy
Bit with your nipper killed me off mate! So cute!
can you use a diluted version of bilt auto wheel as an iron remover on paintwork? thanks
Amazing year end review! How does so ax
Do an AIO and a hand polish video buddy. Love your videos !
Any reviews for citrus pre-washes coming? Winter's a good time of year for them when a snow foam isn't quite enough.
nothing in the pipeline rich, but its an area Im interested as well to go in, so we will do something on it next year mate.
Great video! Some new products on order now to try.. for a review recommendation I would say jays wax ceramic wax would be one to look at iv been using it most of the year and it's fantastic also I have a local company who's products are great called wizard's of detailing their quick detailer called merlins mist is brilliant I don't use anything else
Great videos as it's a mine field out there and can buy loads b4 finding good stuff.new 2 detailing, and as only do my own car so dont want a garage full of products I'll never use. no meguiars thou, which find a bit strange as ever other detailing videos I've watched all recommend some meguiars products.
Great video John! You think you'll be doing a review on some of the Kamikaze products?
Im not sure buddy. I dont have any relations with them or know much about them and I wouldnt be able to afford buying it all up to review. Ive used overcoat and it was very good. all high end stuff. never say never but no plans to do anything with this line.
Ignore other channels, your yearly videos are a good way to try new products. You should do a quick review on rainex in comparison to angelwax
I bought the liquid elements drying towel from your previous reviews but it seems to just smear for me for some reason.
Can you do a 3 part recommendation. ie. UB40 cheap car products, medium quality products and then professional quality. Merry xmas
What do you think of Preston screen wash john
Top video as always! Can I ask, why was the Boucers Done & Dusted not in your top 3 QD's this year because I seem to recall it won gold last year above both Sonax BSD & Angel Wax QED?
sure yer, I was trying to give 3 things that are a little bit different. done and dusted is all about this wet look gloss that I love. It could have gone in there actually still love the stuff. but I tend to reach for the other ones more nowadays. use done and dusted in the summer a fair bit still though. so the ones here are more the 3 I would keep if I had to limit myself to 3 as well.
You left out Gyeon products! I think there are top shelf!!!
Jhon I get ghosting and streaks with h2go I cleaned the glass well and clayed let it cure for 15 minutes do you think cleaning the blades with tac system oil zero would help
best tip I can give, one keep the windscreen wipers away from the car when applying.. when you apply obviously clean it properly.. but after waiting 15 minutes to cure buff away. what I do after that is leave the wiper blades up and leave the car well alone overnight. and even then before I use I go over it one more time with a clean cloth. the closer you do to that the better. I find in the summer when its warmer they cure off better. Dont over apply as well , use small amounts.
HDD and H2go are the best 2 Ive seen so far, the key thing is to let them cure off and prep.
Amazing thank you! Saves us buying all the rubbish products over and over till find one that works :)
The good quality screen washes contain a good percentage (up to 50) of methanol just as an FYI good for water meth injection but unsure how it effects my car products!
Have you tried ez car care
Hi,
I am wondering what chemical products you use the most a detailer uses. For example, Quick Detailer, APC, etc. Maybe the most used top 5 products? Thanks
gotta be 1) prewash 2) shampoo 3) wheel cleaner 4) APC After that, prolly my IPA mix or maybe a fallout remover, maybe a citrus wash, or a dedicated degreaser product.
I’ve only recently started to get in to detailing and one of the brands that I’ve bought a few products from is Autobrite Direct which I’ve noticed that you haven’t mentioned at all in your videos. So I was wondering if you’ve not heard of them or just don’t rate their products?
Dafydd Jones He has an Autobrite foam lance. Though it's really made by PA Italy lol.
Have you explored any of the AMMO NYC products?
hey brian no mate get asked this a lot.. just not really possible to get them ni the UK without very high cost at the moment. I would love to.. Im sure one day they will make it accross.
I'd really love to know what song that is in the beginning
love your awards videos, I'm actually getting a jar of soft99 to try and use as my dedicated wax thanks to your review of it.
wont be found by simon alexander check him out on you tube buddy
Hi Jon, I’ve seen your comment on Done And Dusted, I’ve mixed mine 50/50 with BSD and done the same with BH Auto QD works a treat. Do you have any thought on products going bad over time as I’ve started buying in 5L sizes? Merry Christmas to you and your family and thanks for the videos.
detail sprays on paper have a 1-2 year self life. thats a bit of a generalization. but they are typically based on forms of quatinary silicon which have this sort of shelf life. Ive had products beyond this timeframe though and they still function. So I would not worry too much about expiry of QD's but if its been sitting there for years and years in the garage I would just bin it.
Great reviews there. Is there any reason why you don't include Gtechniq products as would like to see the Gtechniq W6 in comparison to the other fallout removers if you ever have opportunity. Cheers.
no reason really, but its perhaps just more to do with what Ive encounered. g tech stuff is decent enough, big fan of the wheel armour. this video was shot 2 years ago remember, theres been like g tech stuff coming through the channel since this was shot as well.
@@ForensicDetailing oh I see. Thank you for taking the time to answer. I liked this video and was just trying to choose a fallout remover to use on a Gtechniq ceramic coated car to maintain the coating.
Wonder if you can help been doing bit of detailing from r a while and mate wants his car done, but after we need to apply some track decals is it still ok to put a sealant on before the decals??!
I wouldnt advise it for larger decals. I would put them on a clean prep'd surface and then seal the lot.
Ahhh tnx for reply 👍🏼 was what I was thinking :) love the channel mate great wrk
Hey Jon,
Do you have any recommendations for detail sprays that can get rid of fingerprints and waterspots other than Koch Chemie FSE?
I am only asking this because it costs €9.2 euros for a 1 litre bottle and €46 euros to get it shipped to my country. (which is quite costly)
Also, have you tried Carpro Ech2O. It is a type of rinseless wash however, you can dilute it to make it a detail spray, clay lubricant etc.
Thanks.
Great videos btw, Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year.
hey judy I dont know of any other detail spray that is formulate to shifts water spots like FSE. the other products which are effective are all dedicated water spot removals. sorry.
Not tried echo20 either sorry :( double fail. but happy xmas and new year!
Hi John great info in all you're vids! Was wondering as I'm in need of a new shampoo is the built hamber autowash safe to use on a waxed/sealed paintwork is it p.h neutral?
hey james you know what I dont know if its PH neutral. I would guess its close to it... Ill take a reading the next time I use it and find out. but I have not noticed it stripping wax and Ive gone through a whole bottle of it.
Thanks John, enjoy you're new year!
What other channel? Your channel will always be my go to Jonny boy, nobody offers a better service of real life reviews then you 😉😊😎
Id be lying if I said I had not looked at other channel to see whats popular amoung there videos for ideas. so its not really that important "who" because everyone does it, and when you put stuff out there its no longer yours you dont own it, I just didnt want to be duplicating content. Saying that when you do this sort of thing though you can spot if someone is watching and taking ideas and a fair few things Ive done here have ended up on that channel a few weeks after I publish. It has no negative effect on what I do so in a way its kind of nice to see and if it helps spread the word on a cool product then its a good thing.
thats whats youtubes for buddy just keep it up :)
its 2018 time!!
this videos been dropped now Pixel
Have you tried the Klin Korea drying towel?
no but I would imagine its very good and the same sort of thing as the in2detailing. If its korean and double sided and big then it will be good.
How does sonax bsd compair to meguires xpress spray wax?
they are totally different products. Xpress wax is old school been around for a long time, think it has some abrasive in it to help buff up the paintwork. but you can spray it on most things and it makes it shine. It doesnt provide any sort of protection though. It is what it say, an express synthetic wax. fast to use etc.. its decent stuff.
BSD on the other hand is loaded with a really concentrated hydrophobic component that repels water like crazy and lasts a long time. but its a bit sticky and thicker to use.. adds good gloss to the paintwork but not the best feel when you run your hand over the clearcoat afterwards.
so one is all about versatility speed and a quick boost to gloss.. the other lays down a durable hydrophobic seal
Rotary is, in fact, NICE AND GOOD! As your little girl said. This is exactly what I tell my customers. When customers ask which polishers are better for removing wet sanding scratches. I say Rotary Because they're nice and good!
I just finished compounding out sanding marks on a rotary and this is the first comment I read lol. spooky :)
Do you have any recommendation four beatding off on the carpet I was kind a hoping there was a video to protect my boat carpet and also maybe a car carpet
not really mate. in terms of fabric protection. its more about cleaning often and gently IMO. theres a craze for water repellent carpet and upholstery and fabric guards because it looks so damn good to see water beading off it. but really fabrics , floor upholstery in cars is gonna get dirt ground into it everyday. keey is hoovering it out once a week but in a couple of years it will benefit from wet vac'ing either way. really the best tool is to have a wet vax. have a watch of the wet vax video, I honestly dont think product is the key with this area.
Thank you for replying Man love the videos I’m just trying to protect on it I didn’t want to get scammed by buying in these expensive products that are garbage I just wanted to help prevent I have a bunch a little ones you know what I mean I didn’t know if there’s anything besides Scotchgard that may be better out there I’m willing to give it a shot but if you happen to have any solution for mold residue I have a 1996 cobra Mustang sitting up I put away fan too it took the carpet out aired it out dried everything cleaned all the seatbelts sure enough more mold has popped up I’ve tried everything that I can think of I finally got it running and I’d like to take it for a spin but I don’t want to get in it with mold
@@livinglife7042 the mold has to be moisture getting in somewhere and then the car sitting in a nice warm place and bang. you have to used chemicals to kill the mold. biocides, or ideally specific automotive mold killer products, lots say vinegar essence 50-50 with water as well (not tried that). once the mold is killed you could then like wet vax out all the car (do it in the summer when its really hot) and let the car air and get bone dry. After than its just a case of making sure no moisture is getting back into the car and resting somewhere in the car for a long time and the mold starts.
Great video as allways,
Do you have a comparation of carpro hydrofoam to this chemical guys shampoo?
hydrofoam is closer to a wet coat within a shampoo formula, IE you spray over your car in a lance and it will add protection to your glass trim and clearcoat. Need to be carefull with these drying on you.
glossworks is more a traditional shampoo.. whatever its leaving behind is not so hydrophobic, its less about adding protection during the wash and more about gloss only.
carpro stuff is solid as hell generally.
Thanks very much :D
Btw I use ech2o 1:10 like a 2in1 glass cleaner, it cleans great, and the water is going up on the windscreen about 55km/h
[:
I see a lot of car dealers pushing Diamondbrite. What do you think of it?
hey marcus, ive been asked this one a lot since doing the channel. without sort of testing the product or understanding it, prolly unfair for me to comment.. but let me say this.. I wouldnt personally take any car protection package from any dealship. but thats not because I think Im getting robbed or anything (although i might be).. its because Im just into doing it all myself and I also dont want anyone I dont know machining my car in preparation for some protection package... again its easy for me to critise dealships and their valet guys and it would be unfair to because some might do good work.. but as a generalisation they tend to work to much quicker time frames than detailers.. EG prep and apply the system in 4-6 hours or something... no thanks... but if I wasnt into detailing etc and I wanted a protection package maybe... (hmmm)
Hey John! How you doin'? 😂 Great video.. but which is in your opinion the best Shampoo or Prewash to strip away all the previous wax or sealant from the clearcoat?
Filippo from Italy
if you have sealant on wax on the car you cant really rely on a detergent to fully remove it. Your going to need to use an abrasive cleaner on a machine polisher ideally. because of that I dont really have any stripping detergents in the arsenal. It just doesnt serve a purpose for me. might well explore it but I dont think theres a lot of offerings of that sort of product...
Forensic Detailing Channel wow you were waiting for my question? 😂 what a quick answer! Thanks! I thought to a non ph neutral shampoo or prewash that could strip thw wax.. The only specific product that i can see on the website where i buy all my stuff (www.lacuradellauto.it) is a Stripped Ease from Angelwax! But i was looking more for something like a shampoo. Something that i can say: ok, let's reset to the beginning.
detergents can break down waxes, even PH neutral ones. but not enough to remove them. say you hardly have any wax left like 4 months after applying.. maybe these products could remove the reminants off it. Less so for a sealant though, or waxes with additives in them that resist or repel the detergents. So really you need to polish them off if you want them completly gone, say for a ceramic prep or even a sealant prep. Less important if our putting another wax on top.
Forensic Detailing Channel Thanks! I asked because Sunday i did my first decontamination: After Prewash, two bucket with non ph neutral shampoo and iron fallout remover.. when i came to the tar decontamination with Gtechniq W7, this with its solvents started to melt the childish Meguiar's quick wax that i've laid on August (crazy for the effort). Wax that i thought to have stripped with the non ph neutral shampoo and the 4 months passed.
both Angelwax products I've had have been awful. The screenwash left smears all over my clean car and the interior gel gassed and fogged up my freshly cleaned glass with a greasy film. My guess is they had a nice range of waxes and rushed out the rest of the range. The products I've used couldn't have been thoroughly tested as far as I can see
screenwash was great for me. one thing though I used it at mega low concentrations because it was expensive and I wanted to ring out as much value from it. It does contain protective components in it which are supposed to maintain their glass sealant. The interior gel I loved and used a fair amount. the only negative I found with it after like months. was in the baking hot summer it could shine up and a bit. like the extreme heat could break it down. didnt noticed the gassing thing but to be honest I dont think I was looking for that, never really tested that sounds like something I need to look out for. hey this sort of feedback is cool though. Id try their glass cleaner maybe. apart from the smell I think that stuff is really good.
Great channel! Most would have just left the bit with your girl on the cutting room floor. Not here! Love it!
You’ve hit the bullseye 🎯 again John. Thank you... However, after cleaning the car on a Saturday and then going out with the lads that night, I realised I had made a schoolboy error, when the wife accused me of being unfaithful after getting in the car on the Sunday 😲 must of been the the Stripper Scents... 🤣🙈
stripper scents, you dirty git :)
Forensic Detailing Channel - I’m grateful for small mercies. 🤣
Hello my friend, you are a very nice guy and l like your videos. I speak very little englisch but somehow It works . In any case I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas , greetings from Germany ❤👍
"I wouldnt no Jon 😉😉 I've never smelt 😉😉 a strippers neck 😉😉😉"
