- Magic Kingdom to the Max
Unlock the fascinating history of Magic Kingdom park and gain backstage access to legendary hidden areas.
This 5-hour walking tour explores the creation and remarkable growth of one of the most beloved parks at Walt Disney World Resort! Explore secret locations you’ve always wondered about and get the inside scoop on some of your favorite attractions.
During your tour:
Uncover the hidden secrets of classic attractions at Magic Kingdom park.
Access the famed underground “Utilidor” tunnels that allow people and supplies to travel beneath the park unseen.
Experience an Urban Legend
Enter the underground service tunnels to uncover a mystery that’s absolutely, almost unbelievably, true!
The Guest-accessible areas of Magic Kingdom park are actually on the second floor of a massive structure. The "tunnel" below, known as the Utilidor, allows Cast Members, deliveries and even rubbish to be unknowingly transported below Guests’ feet as they wait in line for their favorite attractions. You’ve got to see the Utilidor for yourself!

0:35 Yay - that was me honking. So happy to see you from my monorail. I'm glad Keys to the Kingdom is back, it is such an amazing tour! Seeing you made my day.
What a wonderful job you have. I hope you drive us if we ever make it back over there from the 🇬🇧
@@runaroundsueaccessibletrav6357 that's amazing! 🙌😍
That's my husband's dream job...to retire at Disney World and drive the Monorail! 😃
So stoked I could contribute to your magical day! Thanks for stopping by!
xoxo Skipper Natalie :)
I was going to make a separate comment saying that this skipper was awesome. But… now that you are here… Great job! I hope you can be my family’s skipper someday. Jungle Cruise is my husband and sons favorite ride.
Hi Nathan, Don't hesitate to go on the tour again! I've been on the tour twice and the guides added their own knowledge to the required script. One guide added technical and architectural knowledge and the next guide gave us more show knowledge. There are many great backstage tours! Thanks for keeping us informed.
My wife and I did this tour many years a go and were literally in tears at the end when our guide talked about the Partners statue and the one of Minnie and Roy. Tearing up now just remembering! The tour is Well worth the price!
I’m a former international cast member and have worked at Magic Kingdom- Tomorrowland, so I’ve seen a lot of the backstage areas. This was 20 years ago and I would definitely do this tour to see everything again. It’s totally worth it! Thanks so much for all your videos! Your vibe is contagious! 😀😀😀
I did the Keys to the Kingdom tour about 20 years ago. Sounds like they mostly do the same stops and the servants entrance at the Haunted Mansion. Our Utilidoors tour was more circular, showed where all the costumes are made and kept, the ride electronics and computer systems. Even an empty Mickey costume.
Nate, I love that you get so much joy from learning and exploring. I hope one day you do work for Disney and continue to share your enthusiasm with guests. Maybe one day you will be conducting a Keys to the Kingdom Tour!
This is further proof that Disney is an ongoing learning adventure - even for Disney experts like yourself Nate!
Yesss That’s amazing!!
Claire the Co-conspirator.
Well Nate, this is my first time to post a comment.. I usually click thumbs up, and share ,with my daughter, Maureen ,to watch you! But bumping into you at Magic Kingdom made our vacation so special!
We took the same tour many years ago and it still is one of our most memorable Disney experiences. The cool thing is no two tours are alike and we learned some different stuff.
My friends and I took the Backstage Magic tour several years ago. It was 7 hours and started in Epcot and ended in the Magic Kingdom. We were down in the Utilidoors as well. I think we sacred poor Snow White who was not expecting us to be there. If that tour is still available you should check it out. You would love it!
I loved doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour back in December of 2018. My tour was slightly different because it was pouring rain most of the time. A tornado warning actually went out while we were in the utilidor allowing us to spend additional time down there. This was some of the best money ever spent at Disney 😀. Highly recommend.
Great video Nate. When my family did this tour, back 2018, it was simple to let them know at morning checkin, that two people were vegan, and at lunch time, there were special vegan lunches awaiting them besides everything else prepared for the tour. Totally simple and easily accommodated.
Disney owes you a commission, Nate! After I watched your video I booked a short 4 night solo trip and will be flying in from Texas to go on the tour myself! I can't wait!!! Thank you for the video- it was super fun and your excitement was contagious!
what did you think?
I am so happy to see Nates video vlogs and he always keeps us up to date and aprised on the latest things and adventures that we all can explore, see and do at the Disney World parks. Great job as usual and your phrase i love, Until nexttime my friends, just for now,..... Bye!😎⭐👌🥂
You had a great Jungle Cruise skipper! Excited that the tour is back and will definitely need to do it on our next trip!
This is such an awesome vlog, Nate!! My husband and I did this tour a few years back, and it was so amazing!! We got to eat at the Columbia Harbor House. So glad you got to go on the tour and enjoyed it so much! I love that you brought us along and took time to retrace your steps and give us information that you learned - you’re such a great tour guide! 😊
Thanks Nate for giving guests an overview of the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. I took a tour years ago that took us to the Magic Kingdom, Epcot behind the scenes and Hollywood Studios. It took all day and we had lunch in M.K. and a dinner at Mama Melroses , family style. They did not give us those great keys pins though. However, we went to all the M.K. backstage places that you were taken to and we were driven to each park in special air conditioned tour buses that had water and light snacks for all. In Epcot we went behind the scenes in a few places incl. under American Adventure. I would do it again in a heartbeat. So much great information .
I’ve done the Keys tour twice and each time was special, I found out things the 2nd time around we hadn’t heard yet. I would love to do it now again and see 4-5 years later what they’ve added to it. Great video, I’m a new viewer and really enjoying all your great Disney content!
This was fantastic Nate!! I hope to do the tour one day!! I absolutely love the history and stories behind Disney World and especially Magic Kingdom. Thank you so much for sharing!!😊
:37 did that monorail 🚝 honk at me that is amazing 🤩 your excitement makes me laugh and smile 😊
Hahahaahh
Wow, so excited that you got to this!! Looking forward to continue watching this one!! Thank you for bringing us along and hope everyone has a great day!!
It was amazing!!!! I Am so Happy I Got to Do it!!
When I was a kid, my parents sent my sister and I on a tour that took us down to the utilidors...still one of the coolest things and best memories at Disney. Would love to go back now as an adult again. Might have to book this tour for my next trip to see these back stage areas again. Thanks for describing the experience so well for us!
Okay I’m sold. I 100% want to do this. But can we all agree the tour WITH PMM would be even better???
So awesome that you want folks to have an unspoiled experience.
You Rock, Nate’Man!
Definitely on my bucket list! So glad the tours have restarted! Thx for giving us a recap of where the tour took you!
I love seeing your love and enthusiasm. I don't care if you're talking about Disney or trains or rocks. I am just happy to see people happy. Keep doing what you're doing and I wish you the best!
That is so amazing Nate. I've never heard of this tour before. Sounds like a great time, and a very reasonable price too, considering it's Disney. Lol. I'll be coming to WDW in May, and I think I need to add this to my "to do list! Thanks so much for all you do! Have a Satisfactual day!
🐰🐻🦊
Yes , the only way I found about it was from a Vlog whe I was doing research for my trip in 2019. It will blow your mine with facts, places ,backstage and the utilidoors
Thank you Nate for the great video. You never disappoint 😊 Another Disney experience to add to my bucket list!❤️🖤🏰
This was great! The servants’ quarters were so cool! The “vanity” is a coat tree. It has hooks for coats and hats. The rings on the sides hold umbrellas and walking sticks. A grand home might have a guest book. Fun how they use a funeral guestbook here 😄
We did this tour many years ago and we absolutely loved it! Happy to see your smiling face as always 😊
Nate, not sure if you remember but we met you shortly after you finished the keys tour. You were just outside the main gate making a call maybe. My wife, son, and I talked with you a few minutes, got a picture with you, then walked in. I am not a fan of many, but I do enjoy watching your videos. They were very helpful in getting us prepped for Disney World. Just wanted to say thanks for doing what you do and we feel almost like we're there when watching your videos. Cheers!
I'm a former Cast Member and my friend does the keys to the kingdom tours. She was celebrating yesterday that it's officially back and made me wonder if she was your tour guide. That would have been neat!
Sounds like you worked harder than you usually do for this video, and it was much appreciated; very exciting! We love seeing you & your enthusiasm
I definitely need to do this tour!!!! I have always wanted to go in the underground tunnels. So worth the cost of the tour. Thank you for sharing Nate, I love it!!!
We would love this tour. We got to see behind Main Street once. One of my kids got sick (not serious) and needed to go to a local health clinic. A Disney cast member took us to the clinic, starting by driving right through the Main Street back stage area. The cast member was fantastic. It was kind of a private tour of the backstage areas that we passed on the way to the clinic.
Thank you so much for this Nate and for the trouble that you went to do go back and walk the tour route again for us and show us your lunch choice. I loved this video and so hope to one day do the tour for myself as I would love it. :) x
My daughter and I took the keys to the kingdom tour in 2019. It was wonderful. I was in the Spring 1991 Walt Disney world college program, I was in Magic Kingdom custodial. I had not been in the tunnel since 1991 but now it is better lighting, cleaner, repainted, and more signage.
Wowzers! Looking forward to watching this with my lunch today! How exciting! 🎉
I haven't been 'underground' since Cast Member orientation back in 1999. 😲
Thanks so much for sharing. 💕
-Aimee
I just loved this vlog Nate very interesting and sounds like a great tour to go on if you can afford it. Thanx for taking us along with you!!!
I had no idea that this tour was so affordable. I will definitely at this to the list. Thanks, Nate!
Nate, this was such an awesome and classy video! I’ve heard about this tour, have never been on it, and now will definitely take it after watching your video. Kudos to you for every video you create and share. We ❤️ watching you!
My husband and I have gone on several behind-the-scenes tours (Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and even the warehouses) and loved every one of them. Glad you had a very good experience.
ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO....THERE TRULY IS NO STOPPING YOU......KEEP THEM COMING!!
Happy Monday Nate and Friends! This looks so exciting! I’m so ready to watch this 😃
Happy Monday !!!
Back when I worked for the mouse in the 90s, above the Emporium side of Main street where the offices for supervisors and managers. I was always being called up there because my hair was too long. On the other side of main street, above the Confectioner, were the security offices. This is where all the undercover security worked, many who were former detectives. You only get to see this part of Disney if you did something really wrong. I was a union steward so I was called up there to sit with employees accused of doing something wrong. Not a pleasant experience. Behind Small World is the main entrance to tunnel. Cast members are brought there by bus and then go to wardrobe for clean costumes. They also had a very nice cafeteria near entrance to tunnel. I learned some new things from your video.
BEST suggestion EVER, if people can spare the 5 hours from their schedule. Our tour guides family was close friends of Walt, her Dad was an imagineer and she had some amazing stories about Walt. Myself and two other ladies teared up several times when she spoke of the special bond Roy and Walt shared.
Can't Thank You enough for doing this and sharing your experience first. WELL worth the money and pixie dust lessons.
Do you ever post where you'll be in advance if your little fans wanted to purposely run into you and say Hi and Thank you?
Keep spreading the magic.
❤️
Hey Nate Great stream Thank You for sharing. Very Interesting. That's exciting your own boat tour, very nice. 5 Hours that is a long tour.
That was very cool, Nate! Thanks for sharing that! I love inside looks!
How fun! I cannot wait to see this. Makes me think of my days as a MK Cast Member. I miss WDW so much!!
That is so awesome
Loved this tour.. fantastic and worth every penny x
Thank you Nate, for such an interesting and informative video. I will watch this video a couple of more times. I share the same excitement and passion for Walt Disney World as you do. Excellent job!
Booked for April 12!!! I’m so excited I can’t wait. I’ve always wanted to do this and now my dream will come true. Are you kidding? Wow!!!!!
I have done Keys to the Kingdom tour twice and loved it! I want to do it again! Great video Nate!
Very cool experience. You seemed so happy and excited so it was worth every penny! Hope you do some more tours soon!
So glad this tour is back. I did this 2 years ago and loved it, especially going "back stage". I'm coming to WDW in 2 weeks and will definitely take it again. I was positively giddy in the Utilidoors.
Great video Nate. Glad you learned lots and it made you giddy. Sounds like it was well worth it. Thank you for sharing
This has me so pumped to go on the tour during my next trip. So magical!! 🏰 ❤️
Pecos Bills is amazing! Glad you tried it and enjoyed it!
Tour sounds tempting to sign up for.. probably a long waiting list. Glad you enjoyed & I know u appreciate everything
Sounds like an amazing experience, thank you for sharing!
This is awesome especially having you explain everything.. I thought I knew lots of things there too, from working there being there alot.. I will definitely check it out when I'm down there. THANKS for not telling us too much keeping that for ourselves being amazed.. Thanks Nate.. love your videos as always ❤
There really is no down time there anymore. Wow the crowds
Excellent video Nate! Enjoyed it very much ❤️thank you!
Excellent tour and explanation. Thank you Nathan!
I went on this tour a few years ago. It was a big thrill to go under into the utilidors. It’s definitely something special. By the way, my son and I chatted with you a few weeks ago at the Creations Shop. (You complimented me on the Disneyland Paris scarf that I was wearing.) Sadly, we realized after we walked away that we should have asked to take a selfie with you!! Next time.😀
We are currently on the tour at lunch. Thanks to this we booked it.
That was an excellent tour with an awesome guide!!!
Thanks for sharing Nate! We hope to do that tour soon. Especially after seeing your vlog!! Appreciate you!
My husband and I did this tour in 2000,on the 15th anniversary of our first trip to Disney (which was 1985, when we had started dating. ❤️) We loved it!
Outstanding vlog. Thank you for sharing this amazing experience with us.
Sounds like an amazing tour! Thanks for sharing what you could!
My kid came down for a high school chorus competition and they took them in the utilidor and they popped up in Starlight Ray's where Sonny Eclipse is and let them sing there for family. Unexpected Disney moment. I need to do that tour!
Nate, we finally got a chance to meet you on the tour, we were the folks from Rochester NY. Thank you for being so kind to everyone that recognized you! You never seemed bothered at all and like I told you, thank you, as we've all learned so much from you!! Now that we're back in snow country we can still be at Disney through your eyes! Keep rockin' the awesome videos my friend!!
Thank you!!!!! The tour was AWESOME!!!!!
This sounds like a great experience! Thank You for sharing it. 😀
We did that as soon as my youngest was 16. Summer of 2006! We loved it so much!!! We loved the utilidoors and backstage the best!
Our lunch was upstairs at Columbia Harbor House.
Great video! Thanks so much for all of the good info!
Im so excited! I am going in May. Wanted to do for 10+ years. First time without children, so we booked it!
I did the tour over ten years ago and is still one of the best memories I have. We went down through a different door and at at a different restaurant for lunch. I still have my key. Love the video! Thanks so much! Makes me really want to do it again.
I took the tour when MSEP was still there and got a close up look inside some floats.
Totally awesome Nate! Can't wait for your next adventure.
So excited to watch ☀️😄 Happy Monday
😀😀
You're always so chipper and seem genuinely happy to be there! Living through you and your videos until I can visit some day soon.
Omg looks awesome!!! Great video as always. Amazing and fancy lol 😝
$114 is a great value for everything that you got. Thanks for sharing it with us. Do more of them!
I wonder if you have to buy a park pass on top of that price
@@hairdresser1300 you must have a park ticket and reservation in addition to this event purchase.
I have taken many of these tours in the past and they were all so much fun and a lot of facts and information. I want to take some of them again because you brain starts going into overload with all the information but for a Disney lover its all so much great information .
Thanks for posting your experience. I am definitely going to do this tour. You confirmed my suspicion as to where the parade floats were stored.
I loved this video. That pin was such a great keepsake. Thanks Nate - you did a great job!! 😍
I enjoyed this video. Your descriptions were great, added some spark to imagine your tour .
25:44 was my everything! Thank you so much for sharing brother!
Wow awesome! I think I’d like to take that tour someday! Thanks Nate!
This key 🔑 to the kingdom tour looks so much fun 🤩
It really is and it’s also such a great value
We are going to do this tour at Christmastime. We are so excited and looking forward to it! Thanks, Nate for a great video!
Looks like an amazing tour to try out. Thanks for sharing your day 🙌
Thanks for sharing this. Sounds like an amazing opportunity
Thank you Nathan! So amazing!
Best tour ever!! We loved it when we did it!!
Took the "Keys To The Kingdom" Tour back in Sept 2006. I fully understand your Excitement!!!
