I bought one the very first year that this body style came out in 1978 right off the showroom floor. It was also a special edition that only 49 cars were made for the southern dealers association. They came in 4 colors all white with a two tone paint scheme and were ASX editions. We put 128K on it in 6 years. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the car and everything on it worked just like it did when it was new. My wife and I decided to "sell" it to a really good friend that didn't have a lot and needed a dependable car. We let her pay for just the transfer and taxes on the $200 price and forgo the price. We didn't need it any more and she really did. Anyway it is one of those cars you wish you still had. It was a really well put together car. I still see it every once in a great while, some young guy has it and he keeps it really clean, still running after all these years.
That's one clean g-body! I'm not a big fan of white cars, but I do like the contrast of white with that blue interior. The car needs white walls of course and I wish it had the 5.0 instead of that baby V8, sharp car none the less!
