Next time try Litza’s pizza. Right next to Hires downtown. Riches bagels get the turkey gouda cranberry on asiago. Italian Village so yummy. Leatherby’s family creamery.
Way to crazy for words! Just moved to Utah to join my mother and brother.... I'm Lisa and yes my brother yep u got it is Bill....❤ thank you for sharing your site with all of us foodies...
I'm so glad you went to Iceberg. It's the best place for shakes here in SLC. And yes, the OG spot there on 900 E is always busy with long lines but as you've now tasted, it's worth the wait!
Mainly places like SLC and where the LDS is magnified. I feel the same way about LA , SF and other liberal US Cities. Plus live where I live now Orange County.
my favorite slc eats: HSL, table X, provisions - a little more on the pricey side, but really good eats. thanks for coming to our city! i love the kouign amann at les madeleines
Hi Bill and Lisa!!! Thanks for sharing your wonderful adventures. Can you both do a shout out to my best friend, his name is Herb Gray and he will be celebrating his 59th birthday on May 7.
I prefer the chocolate croissant to be cold. I like when the dark chocolate isn't melted. The best chocolate croissant I've had was at Porto's across the street from Knott's berry farm.
I’m biased. My wife is French. And I love how you enjoy every cultural cuisine twist. I love French food. But i also love the way you showcase food traditions, cultures, and variety. As you said, Lisa, ‘I concur’. ☺️
If you visit SLC airport again you should definitely try the Kouign-Amann at Gourmandise, it's my favorite! They add cardamom to it which I love and serve it to you warm on request. I live abroad most of the year but my parents live in SLC so I go through that airport a lot and I get that every time 😸Lived in utah for 30 years but it's been like 6 months since I've visited. Fun to watch this because it made me feel like I'm back home! ^_^
On our way home from DL we stopped at the hat in brea my daughter had the pastrami burger that’s my next thing to try there! Next trip on the way home!
Wow. A great array of food in Salt Lake City. Those French pastries particularly! I recently had a really mind blowing kouign-amann in Washington, DC where I filmed a UA-cam episode. I had never had one before; and, it was a revelation! As you mentioned, it's so flaky and decadently buttery.
This was wonderful to see as I lived in UT although like you I’m not a winter weather person and southern Cal is more my speed, but it was so interesting and not surprising to see how much SLC has come up the food chain! I’m amazed and just great choices to see and taste through your excellent descriptions! I think it’s neat that you can honestly compare the French patisserie’s! Both pastries looked and I bet tasted divine! I really enjoy your channel and just think your a fun couple to watch! I’ll be moving back to the HI islands this summer, and just like SLC through your channel, seems HI has a lot of new and upcoming eateries as well that I’m excited to eat! Aloha you two! 🌺🌺🤙🏽
Idaho also serves fry sauce like that with fries. When I first moved there I had no idea what they were talking about! Lol. Basically, thousand island. I will pay $ to see you guys do that bobsled track!
Lived here 15 years and sadly would only recommend a number of places big enough to fit on one hand and you missed all of them. Okay - Iceberg thick shakes are great but - it’s a shake. Love your videos and hope you return 😎
If you want wild life go to alaska at Denali national park and take the bus tour we saw over 26 grizzly bears, black bears m otters, buluga whales, moose wild, bald eagles, mountain goats go around June thru August it is beautiful!
I love you as a couple! I just found your videos. It is wonderful to experience your travels and food with you! May I ask a question. Do you eat all the food you order??? I know you travel so it might be hard to keep extra food. Thanks!!
@@billandlisa my mouth waters so much when I watch you guys. I'm so glad I come across your videos. I have been sick for a week and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching them. Thank you so much!!
You definitely need to come back and spend more time. Crown burger is very good. R and R bbq is definitely not on my favorite list. Too much fake smoke flavor. I know people rave about it but not me. Favorite bbq place is Sean’s BBQ in Saratoga Springs. Bam Bam Bbq is good too. Iceberg has restaurants throughout Utah not just in SLC. You will have to try the pie hole a pizza place. Try the Dog Haus in Sandy. Also try J.Dawgs. They have quite a few throughout Utah. Chom Burger in Provo. Ombu Korea BBQ in Orem is excellent. Big variety plus lots of fried items to choose from. It’s not like the typical Korean bbq in LA or Vegas. You pay 1 price for lunch and dinner. Lunch is a little cheaper. They don’t have different prices like you pay for 20 meats you pay this for 30 like others. And I can’t forget are all time favorite is Maddox Ranch House Inc. Bern in business since 1949. Famous for skinless fried chicken and shrimp steak. They raise their own cattle. My grandpa use to deliver Wonder Bread in the 50’s. He knew the original owner. Also another thing that makes this restaurant so unique is they serve well water from their well onsite. They also make their own root beer.
There is a burger Chan that started in Salt Lake City,Artic Circle .which is famous for its fry sauce. We have a couple here, but the owner dropped the franchise back in the 80s,but still has the same menu. And the fry sauce.Very popular.I understand ketchup, mayonnaise, and some pickle juice.Family secret they say.
Just found your channel and loved your day 1 SaltLake video so I was happy to see this up this morning. LOVE how you explained the crossing and pastry =awesome and yummm!
Very nice. Lots of variety in your eats. I must say, though, I have two friends relocated there from san francisco. Both were not aware of your choices. They had never been. But through your travels and vlog, I have enlightened them to some good eats.
Next time try Litza’s pizza. Right next to Hires downtown. Riches bagels get the turkey gouda cranberry on asiago.
Italian Village so yummy. Leatherby’s family creamery.
Ble Sucre is my fav Paris bakery as well!!
We agree!!
Charbroiled burgers are the best but that Eva's bakery takes the cake or croissant.
Hi you are so much more than a food channel . I really enjoy your videos. So eye opening to all these different places you go. Take care.
Slinging shakes since 1960? So just about 62 years!
I enjoy your fun adventures, always a joy to watch, and I absolutely love Salt Lake City : )
Kibbles and bits, lol Bill.
Way to crazy for words! Just moved to Utah to join my mother and brother.... I'm Lisa and yes my brother yep u got it is Bill....❤ thank you for sharing your site with all of us foodies...

I’m currently in slc and this video has helped me decide where I should try to eat. 👍🏽
Happy you found this video helpful!
I'm so glad you went to Iceberg. It's the best place for shakes here in SLC. And yes, the OG spot there on 900 E is always busy with long lines but as you've now tasted, it's worth the wait!
At Iceberg, the way to go is get strawberry ice cream, with the magic shell chocolate chips. It's heaven.
Mainly places like SLC and where the LDS is magnified. I feel the same way about LA , SF and other liberal US Cities. Plus live where I live now Orange County.
Love a great croissant and BTW Lisa your hair looks great

OMG!! Too funny!!!…”It’s Fashion”- Bill
I’ve tried a lot of bbq. R&R for me is the best bbq chain restaurant there is imo.
So fun glad you enjoyed SLC. Come back and visit soon so I can say hi!!
Lovely couple!! 🤗🤗🤗

Will do! After our Vegas series. =)
I prefer the chocolate croissant to be cold. I like when the dark chocolate isn't melted. The best chocolate croissant I've had was at Porto's across the street from Knott's berry farm.
Fry sauce is something we discovered moving to Idaho (from L.A.) It's a thing in Boise.
I’m biased. My wife is French. And I love how you enjoy every cultural cuisine twist. I love French food. But i also love the way you showcase food traditions, cultures, and variety. As you said, Lisa, ‘I concur’. ☺️
Beautiful state.

Love your hair, Lisa 😊❤️
You took me back home again. Mmm..wow! Let me say that backwards..wow!!.. You always make me laugh!!😄😄😄

Fry sauce started at Artic circle in Utah. It's a Utah sauce!
The burger and croissant looks good. The jacket is expensive. You mean ski jump? The bbq looks good.
I live in SLC, the Iceberg shakes are amazing!! Crown burger is usually a guaranteed stomach ache!! 😜
If you want wild life go to alaska at Denali national park and take the bus tour we saw over 26 grizzly bears, black bears m otters, buluga whales, moose wild, bald eagles, mountain goats go around June thru August it is beautiful!
R&R Bar-B-Que is the best. I wished I would have went to the French place. I wonder do they ship across the country?
I love you as a couple!
I just found your videos. It is wonderful to experience your travels and food with you!
May I ask a question.
Do you eat all the food you order???
I know you travel so it might be hard to keep extra food.
Thanks!!
We try most of the time. When we stay local, we always takeaway any leftovers.

Thanks for all the recs, Maryel.
Might have to keep driving on the 15 North on the way to Vegas after this series lol
It was pretty cool seeing snow this time of year!
The pineapple pork sandwich looks bomb.
looks like a mini paris in SLC
At least at Eva's Bakery... So good!!
If you guys liked R&R you need to try Pat's BBQ if you ever come again! Their pulled pork Philly's are the best!!
Thanks for the rec, JT!

You will for sure like these, Dan!
I need some french bakery now!!!🤤😋
Ah yes 2002 Salt Lake City where Canada ruled the hockey world 🏅🏅🇨🇦🇨🇦
I don’t think SLC will ever make my list of places to visit, but the food does look surprisingly good!
The audio sounds good when you use your microphones.
Always like to visit SLC. Too weird to live there though.
What do you mean? You're too weird to live here, or the state is too weird to live in? Is it both? 😊
suns out buns out bill lol
Not these old buns! haha
Did those taste like blizzards
Looks like i can get full off half that crown burger
Yeah, best to eat only half so you can save room for other eats. lol
Artic Circle fry sauce !
I’ve been to alc before.
Just found your channel and loved your day 1 SaltLake video so I was happy to see this up this morning. LOVE how you explained the crossing and pastry =awesome and yummm!

nice
It's gorgeous food and drink but it's nothing I could really enjoy.. maybe a touch of fresh fruit and veges? Thank you sincerely
Going to BBQ spot and ordering turkey breast? Then being surprised it wasn't as dry as you expected? 😂
Is the snow in Park City real???
Yes it’s real. It can have snow on the top peaks all the way into July
@@dognzo893 Wow!
Oh my gosh the pulled pork sandwich meal and the brisket meal looked amazing Bill and Lisa 😍😋 Salt Lake City looks like a beautiful place to visit.
That pulled pork sandwich was our favorite there! So good!
Flavor is a personal thing. And why does everyone have to show themselves biting into food and going "Mmmmmmmmm?"
Love you guys! But you always make me so hungry LOL Shout out to Lisa's hair looking extra good today ♥
I thought you two might have been out to Ruth's Diner for breakfast..
