Excited for the midline playthrough. They get so little love between the Onslaughts and Omens of the sector. They aren't as flashy, but they're flexible.
I think it’s talhan shipworks that adds it, but there’s a destroyer I love for exploration because it has reserve deployment and survey equipment, and is lower maintenance than some frigates from vanilla. Completely bullies domain and light remnants with bombers with just one or two deployed
Just wanted to share - I got the special bounty. From the Medium importance contact (not even priority), when I was at a comfortable 15 relations with her. And the kicker - it is Knights of Ludd contract, noy even TriTach. So yeah, either I got "very" lucky, or some mods are interfering with the contact bounty system, but I am unaware of any such mod. RNG giveth and RNG taketh as they say.
I played Starsector again since 2019, and found your channel. Ended up watching the series. I had to congratulate your commentary. Efficient, funny, calm, analytical. I'm probably biased because Beelz as profile picture gains me points of sympathy, gaslighting me into viewing you as a vtuber. Keep up the good work! I haven't played Starsector with mods, so you're probably will be a nice introduction lol
9:18 from what i've heard, the AI will always use hyperion's teleporter when it's off cooldown. Which is why AI hyperion builds work if you overflux them and give them caps instead of vents
This was a very enjoyable playthrough! I ran across it by accident during a random search, you do this amazing game a great amount of justice. I have been playing it since 2014 and have yet to get tired of it. I would love to see you do an Infernal Machine custom start one day...
i love eover driven auroras, they are basically big brawling hammerheads. The qabal underground pink aurora is even better at that role. With skills and hullmods, the aurora tanks more than a radiant. Disable engines and then "jet push them away into a corner and beat them 1 v1 ". The odyssey is also fun, but slower and it has to "escape" from the frontline to vent. The aurora just runs around and uses other ships as shields.
the key is that by using N on my mouse, I can hold the aurora on track to target, and sideburn using the jets. This is much more precise than he fury/odyssey's plasma burn system that only goes forward. Oher favorite systems are augmented jets, ballistic flux decrease, and temporal mechanics (which adds maneuvers with dps/speed).
Man that was a fantastic playthrough! I learned so much about high tech ships and some of the late game challenges. Your skill with the Fury is beyond me but the rest I can and in some cases have put to use quite easily. 😅 Interesting seeing your latest Conquest build and thoughts on symmetry. This is probably dumb but I noticed that AI Conquests spend 90% of the battle turned diagonally, so I built mine asymmetrical with higher range weapons near the back - Sabot Pod == Gauss > HVD > Mjollnir, though I broke from that plan by sticking a Grav Beam in the medium energy slot near the front (I never tested it but dropping to a range 600 medium energy weapon seemed like too large a jump). As for the rest, instead of improving its armor I beefed up its shields more, and with all these anti-shield weapons on the strong side, instead of Squalls I went with two Hurricanes. Even with the mostly wasted Insulated Engine Assembly s-mod, they've done quite well unless I fight enough big fleets at once that they just wear me down through attrition. I start to struggle up against 3-4 big fleets with 10+ capitals. My Afflictor runs out of CR due to altered time flow, then the Omens go out, and without them the Conquests start losing the ability to protect themselves from being surrounded. But outside of those battles, the only time one of them blew up was when I set a terminate order on something and didn't properly babysit it, so it ended up isolated and surrounded.
Already have in mind the mods you gonna go on a next series? I recommend the supply and commodity forges mods for more interesting exploration without needing back and fourth only for more fuel after exploring 3 systems, also extra levels could be cool for higher difficult mods
And thus ends the epic adventures of Paul Bingus. I look forward to seeing the midline playthrough with Paul's brother, Dean Dingus. Or will it be Finch Fingus? ;P
00:43:00 it would be also nice if they turned the 2 maps madness into just 1 map. carriers. Luckily, not my favourite ships. Because no matter what I tried on them, their space crafts usually hit at the wrong moment. Tridents, for example, usually hit shields, Longbows rarely hit shields. It was almost as painful as A.I. squal shooting vs tiny, fast frigates. it would be nice to ban some targets for some weapons in a menu
_"Where'd all your Onslaughts go huh?"_
Well, they're over there...
And over there...
And a few pieces are over here...
what a series. Cant wait for the nex palythrough next. Also loving the FTL series

a long awaited conclusion to the sory of the bingest bingus to ever bing!
Bingusest*
Tridents going in and UNLOADING on some poor sap is one of the most beautiful sights in this game.

Nice, great, awesome even

Why would you even play cucks of ludd?
Seems like mod, the text clearly points to it being given by a tritach contact - unless you saw a different text talking about moloch and shit?
@@mortacheThat would be the cool thing to happen, but no, it was standart text blurb
surely this time you'll get the bounty for sure
I love it when you say "Hello Gamers".

Long burns to Paul Bingus! Thank you for this series, it's nice to see you take the whole game for a spin!

"No."
"Understandable, have a wonderful day."

It's been a long, long road....

Listen here Daud, there are no AI cores within the walls of Ba Song Se.

Crazy that bounty never came around past few episodes and then bam
thanks for the series
Hope to see a series based on [the end credits/spoiler] build!

welp Bingus ended his story on a high note, sad to see him go 😭

30:20 this is free port, he doesn't care
Glory to the bingus domain
damn your voice sounds like Zapp Brannigan :D
I miss Beelz
How do you sort your weapons into storage that fast? I take so much longer and its kinda tedious. Do you actually just click that fast? 22:05
Could you put Rift Torpedos on Pegasus and spam them with the ship system in the next run???
Edit: you can do raids once every single day
1:13:11 Is that symmetrical conquest?
If your conquest isn’t symmetrical, why even bother? Just use an Odyssey at that point
man do the Swarm mod, u'll regret your lack of PD )
So there's nothing special to the Sindrian/Spoiler thingamabob?
