Really strange pickup, to be honest. True story - when I first saw these phones in Target, I thought I was looking at 3rd party/knock-off phone cases. It wasn't until I looked closer at photos I had taken and noticed the absurdly high prices, and then realized those were actual phones, not knock off cases. The packaging is just so strange for a product sold in Target stores. Looks like something I'd find on temu.
I work in the tech section at Target it should be 14-30 days depending and you *may* be charged a restocking fee but I've never seen it in the 3 years ive worked here.
I work in the tech section at Target and I always advise against getting these as they're almost a scam (not a scam but overpriced). When people ask about unlocked phones they always see these and I have to explain how overpriced they are because most people dont know how cheap you can get older iPhone on ebay or Swappa etc. For years we sold new iPhones thru AT&T but most stores have stopped doing that in the last few years.
Damn straight. I wouldn't accept that, even for an sd card. Of course we're talking about Android. Still, I would suspect that even then, that 64gb would have been just about laughable on those iPhones.
My ip11p has 64 gb, iOS uses 20-25 sometimes. It’s bad. I’m low on storage from recording but I would say it’s fine for a budget phone, especially if the storage is expandable.
Best Buy has these same phones from the same refurbishing company. I've had somebody return one to me because the screen was scratched to high hell despite the "great condition" claim on the website.
100%, when I first saw the packaging in the store, I didn't even realize it was a phone. I thought it was a 3rd party phone case. Wouldn't be surprised to see this in walmart, but in Target? Very strange
Target has been selling these things for years. You can easily return them for a full refund within 14 days. I've done it before. They really don't care if you return them. I worked there PT for 6 months so I know from experience.
$500 for a 64GB iPhone 12 with 84% battery is a scam even in europe where the resale value of used iPhone's is higher this is a complete scam, it would probably be around 250 euros here or maybe even less because black is such a standard colour that there is a lot more of them so people would be willing to sell theirs a little cheaper. The fact Target is doing this is just plain wrong.
@@danielgartin-oh9ik I thought that was now illegal in the USA but just read they are trying to fight it.... I know TotalWireless and Straightalk is 2 months
My man, you are really expecting some huge expectations, but these phones are not even being marketed anymore and, if I'm not mistaken, have entered the vintage list. I would never have touched those iPhones.
It probably doesn't fully justify why the why the price is high on the phones but it could be that the phones are factory/networked unlocked. A good amount of the phones on eBay and the like are network locked to a specific carrier/network.
They get their use phones from their phone recycle bin when you first walk in target they have recycle bins that look like trash cans you can recycle your old phones that’s probably where they get the phones to resale
I got a brand new Iphone 12 for $199 at 100% battery life... $479 for a refurbished Iphone 11 at our Target in South Carolina... But they have Barbie flipphones for 99 bucks..
@@parodylover999 Got to admit, it's the most coolest flip phone to come out in 15 years... Don't know who they are targeting with those phones but good luck to them.
Take these phones back. I bought a referbished iphone XR from FNB in South Africa and the phone had a replaced cover/screen and battery it looked brand new with 100% battery, shame on this scammy company
How do you know that battery looked brand New? Did you open phone. I have changed battery with some knock off battery on mu iPhone, and now its always 100% health. But in reality it dont last as Long as was original battery, which had 82% health.
Buying an iPhone SE 2020 for $200 is bad. Buying an iPhone 12 from 2020 at $500 is criminal. Buying refurbished is the way to go folks. Prices are much more reasonable.
I got a phone from target before and it was a iPhone XR and the Face ID was not working I lost my receipt and I had to call customer service about it they let me exchange it and get my money back but yeah I would not get phones from target lol
These phones are overpriced but u can't say shit because u have an affiliate link for a $600 iPhone SE and $770 iPhone 12 which is absurd like get out bro 😭

Wait I’m the first one to like this?
I work in the tech section at Target and i was surprised when I saw we started selling these, about a year ago.
3:20 I am currently using an iPhone 12 mini and My phone is in better condition than that iPhone 12.
500$ for an iphone 12? YES thats way to high of a price i bought a brand new iphone 12 at walmart for 200$
The parts feature on Apple’s website or from new iPhones, not older ones
Whats the return policy? Return this garbage.
I work in the tech section at Target it should be 14-30 days depending and you *may* be charged a restocking fee but I've never seen it in the 3 years ive worked here.
I've bought a pixel 7a brand new from target. You have a 30 day return period and wasn't charged a restocking fee

64gb is useless at this point.
Naw, I’ve only used 42GB after 3 years of use on my IPhone 13 Pro.

Interesting… thanks for letting me know, I’ll have to take a look
these are probally from eco atm where they paid like $20 for them and turn arround and sell them at a 1000% markup
I’m very surprised Target would sell something as suspect as these; especially considering they advertise the latest Apple products.

1:58 Charges from USB-A! That's going to be a slooooow charge....
I work at a target, when I first saw these in work, my first thought was...rip off
Good thing you can literally return anything at Target

Seeing the packagin that came with the phone, remind me of ipod touch era...
True lol
If they come unlocked its not a scam. walmart sells new iphones cheaper but on total wireless you have to have service for 2 months before it unlocks.
Moral of the story: if it looks like it should be in the Too Many Phonez series and it's the price of, like, a refurbished 14, don't buy it.
I mean... it doesn't look like a Target program? Just looks like a company that supplies refurbished phones that Target stocks.
You paid double for them, i would say you got swindled.
He got graped with out the g
Because of this I will NEVER EVER shop at target again. They forever lost me as a customer for this bullcrap they are trying to pull
If you didn't have that giant red arrow I wouldn't have known where to look. Thanks for that clarification
I paid $250 for a brand new SE 3 with Apple warranty. It’s my spare phone.
Thanks for the post. Agree with review. Your review makes sense. The cost and actual phone does not make sense.
That’s way over priced. I bought a like new iPhone SE 3 on Swappa with 100% battery health for $168. Return them, not worth it.
He said "What is this?"..😂😂😂
I would never buy a used phone. I must have 25+ old androids laying around.

That phone should now be $50 today in 2025 lol
That’s insane my dad got me a brand new iPhone 13 for Christmas for $200 it’s locked to Boost Mobile but it’s brand new
It's locked for 2 months if you maintain coverage... Then it will be unlocked and you can use any carrier.
@ Boost Mobile themselves told me it was locked for one year
The 13 is a 3 year old phone now lol.

Target out here thinking they need 1,5-3x the price of the phone on Ebay to maintain their business, hilarious!

My iPhone battery health is it 77% so it’s not as bad as mine
That first one is the same iPhone that I have and have had for 6 years now and mine looks better

I highly doubt that, most people only put dead phones there
@ I have seen people find a lot of working phones in there
Damn...these batteries were heavily used! My iPhone 8+ from 2017 is at 83% (and it is giving that notice about battery needing replaced)
Why does the se look like a 7+ in your hands🧐🤣🤣🤣

You can get these NEW for cheaper. Walmart has a new ip13 for $350 and 12 for less than $300, brand new!
