Applause to the three girls that were enjoying themselves. Especially the little girl that tried to include her. Very sweet spirit to realize someone’s pain/fair and offered comfort and compassion
I’ve taught and put up a show for kids that age. I’m sorry for your personal experiences but that’s not how toddlers think 🤔. She may be mad because she couldn’t have pancakes that morning. They’re just learning that they are separate people from their caregivers and can say no; so they do and at the most inopportune times. As I wrote earlier, they are VERY unpredictable at this age. I’m almost positive they are 3 year olds.
My daughter lived for being on stage, loved every minute of it. Her cousin absolutely hated it. I kept my daughter in ballet and my sister found other activities for her daughter. Everyone is different and though it's good to stretch your children, we also have to accept who they are.
I love that independent spirit, darling! Be yourself and never feel like you have to conform, if you didn't feel like it, you didn't feel like it! And to the three young ladies who danced, you did a beautiful job! Loved the outfits, too, just beautiful! Keep being you, and enjoy life, all four of you! Oh, my gosh, I just had to come back and edit, total flashback to tap dance and not wanting to do it myself! Thanks for the memory, kiddo! No wonder I relate to you, I WAS you! I would refuse, too!
Haha...I get this p'eed off princess!! Had one just like that years ago, now Iv'e got an amazing independent, individual who brings me joy every day..It ain't always about the parenting, sometimes it is about the individual character on the individual day! 😊
This is so far the cutest comment I found.....that's really sweet of you....I admire the little girl too...she looked gorgeous Not to forget that the dancing did well too.....but I feel more the one who did not dance
@lana lake Poor baby was frozen with stage fright lol. Reminds me of myself and my first halftime show in high school marching band. It was an away game and was played in a big (Jr college) stadium, FULL of fans! I played trombone and we were generally always in the front because of the slides. That show we entered from the end zone. There we stood on the goal line behind the drummers. I was already scared but when the announcer came over the speakers introducing us and the crowd roared....sheer panic! All my brain could process was that I had to march out to the 10 yard and beyond that I drew a TOTAL BLANK! Iwasthisclose to hyperventilating but managed to nervously whisper/stutter to guy next to me, "Bob.....I'm scared! I can't remember what to do!" Poor Bob. He wasn't playing much because he literally was having to tell me every move. By the second song, I remembered to move my slide to give some semblance of being a musician. By the third song I was FINALLY able to actually blow my horn AND March without Bob's assistance 😁😁!! Yep, stage fright can be a booger bear 😀😀!
Girrrlll, I only got to "I had learned nothing" and had to stop reading to howl and wipe tears 😂😂😂. Whew, that was FUN-NEEE!! What added to my humor was me picturing you typing it. First, you closed your eyes and began shaking your head left to right. Once you opened your eyes, you wiped away one lone tear, pursed your lips, and took on a look of somber determination in order to recall that traumatic childhood event that unfortunately inflicted auditory pain upon others. (I'm sure those innocent listeners also shed tears when they recall it). Don't feel bad though since we both know it was all your teacher's fault! **** I think I'm funny and cracked myself up (which I do quite often) writing that. I hope you at least got a giggle from it 😁😁****
I praise the little girl who didn’t give up trying to get her involved. She looks like she’s throwing a temper tantrum and that’s all she’s acting also too bad she couldn’t be with it it was such a good performance for the others.
That was certainly me as a child! I don't think she's shy. I don't think she was afraid. I think she was either angry and wasn't about to do anything that she didn't feel like at that moment in time. Maybe she actually liked dancing. Maybe she thought they were going to do another dance and they changed it to this "boring" dance. LOL. Who knows? LOL I think she's going to grow up to be the kind of woman who will not be pushed around and who doesn't mind letting others see her true feelings! #headstrong.

Just dont let it be like when i was a kid- the problematic kids got all the attention, the kids who carried on and did right were ignored.
The child on the far left doesn't look frightened to be on stage. To me, she looks like she's angry. Who knows? Maybe she was not feeling well. Maybe she had just had a fight with her mother. The one thing I can't figure out is why she didn't just leave the stage. Everyone has an occasional off-day. We can do nothing but speculate.

Aweee, the 3 on the right did such a good job. You can tell they want to be there and make their parents proud. They enjoy their dance and have good showmanship. Amazing how happy looks pretty too.
When everyone talk about that girl on the left that isn't pitiful at all , I would like to talk about the second girl. She tried to hold her hand and the girl rejected her, how nice is she to encourage her by pulling the other two girls towards her and able to continue after being rejected by the arrogant girl. That is not stage fright, if she is, she will at least run away or squat down, definitely not folding hand like a boss.

When I was 5 in the first grade, we rehearsed for a western play…Annie Get Your Gun. Rehearsals went fine. Nobody told me all those empty chairs would be full of people looking at us. As a former 3 year old (a few moons ago) this is just how kids are. I am sure they practiced on the stage with lights but not an audience. If we all quit at age 3 then nothing would get accomplished. If l remember right, the music is the original song from the movie soundtrack. The main character Fievel(cartoon mouse ?maybe 5 yrs old?) was the singer. The one girl just didn't want to be there, and the other 3 girls were cute even if they were out of unison. They're kids, not miniature adults.
Psalms 149:3 Dancer But you can tell it’s not about that. It’s pretty obvious that something just didn’t go her way and she decided to be a brat about it. I’m sorry, I’m not trying to be mean.. but, come on lol... that’s not stage fright.
*moments before curtain "um Mackenzie says you can't come to her sleepover cuz its only for original dance crew and you joined midseason...but the rest of us are still invited. I can bring her the birthday present you got for her tho- you're not upset right? oh oops were starting."

I get it! She does not like the limelight. I was the same way and she is trying in her little girl way to be invisible and NOT THE CENTER OF ATTENTION. That was me too. She will be an awesome behind the scenes girl and be the best support person for those in front.

Such cute dresses. I love the color.
The girl is probably an introvert with bad stage fright. We should be understanding.
she doesn't look shy with stage fright, she looks pissed off. she does NOT want to be there! LOL
LittleLulubee Exactly.
spoiled
bebetigre12 👍🏻 big time
Psalms 149:3 Dancer But you can tell it’s not about that. It’s pretty obvious that something just didn’t go her way and she decided to be a brat about it. I’m sorry, I’m not trying to be mean.. but, come on lol... that’s not stage fright.
There is always a brat on every stage. Some in secret and just sometimes they let everyone know
Whew Chiile as long as I didn’t pay for the classes & costume she can behave as she pleases 😂
💀💀💀
This reminds me of my childhood- 😭💀
*moments before curtain
"um Mackenzie says you can't come to her sleepover cuz its only for original dance crew and you joined midseason...but the rest of us are still invited. I can bring her the birthday present you got for her tho- you're not upset right? oh oops were starting."
Kids can be so mean sometimes.
Different tastes for different people ! Let them be children it last to short of their time
I love the fact you have to connect with your kids
Someone should have taken her off the stage. She doesn’t want to be there and she’s spoiling it for the other little girls.
Some people are just not followers... do you sweet lil one! Your independence and standing your ground may serve you well. Protest, RESIST... change your world!!!💖
Oh my goodness... I don't know whether to laugh or cry! Her parents can now have a hefty retirement fund due to the cancelled dance lessons! 😂🩰💃
I get it! She does not like the limelight. I was the same way and she is trying in her little girl way to be invisible and NOT THE CENTER OF ATTENTION. That was me too. She will be an awesome behind the scenes girl and be the best support person for those in front.
i'm sure her parent are so glad they spent a ton of money on her dance career
Kudos to the 3 little ladies that did a wonderful job...and WARNING to parents (especially the parents of the SPOILER) who wanted all the attention even if it was NEGATIVE ATTENTION. Beautiful little girls very cute as well Bless you all thanks
They are so cute. I feel bad for the little one who is so sad and doesn’t want to do any part of the dance while the other three girls were having fun being up there showing everyone that they can dance. When my daughter was in her first recital at two and a half years old he teacher was telling all the parents they may stand there and cry or dancing around and having fun, the goal is to get them out there
This called: " Dancing to your tune".
Dear poppet, having a - "I don't want to" day.
So sweetest girl in the world 💓melt my heart
Super huggable girls. I remembered my childhood days.😁😂🤣
Awwwwwww. Who else had tears?
Not me
I agree and I took dancing for 18 years. Dancing you name it poor little girl just does not want to do it just was a parent's idea
She wants some babyshark in her life 😂 not this 🤷🏾♀️😜
what is this song?
the girl that's not dancing is like I'm not doing this s**
that girl that just standing there looking at the other people seating. And looking at their own children
