Iv been looking into getting the VM38 for my 750 iv heard 40mms are better so I'm a little torn between the VM38 or the VM44
I always liked the look of those Viragos. Not too crazy about the look of that snow though
No the snow can go man :) The virago is also a very good riding machine.

So, is that a KJS manifold? I've been thinking of doing the single carb conversion for my VS 1100.
No, this manifold is from BIP. Mikuni VM 30 works awesome.
By far the best mod you could ever do to these bikes.
Did you change anything with the carb itself when you switched to the new intake? just bought one and am a little lost
No never changed anything. That is not to say you might need to. Whats the problem?
Hay guys carburetor question. I have a 85 yamaha virago xv1000 converted to single carb using a Mikuni HS40. You think a 42.5 pilot jet is to big?
That depends on many things. How do the plugs look?
dual mikuni round slide ask for 22.5-25 pilots jets not sure if you double that for single carb or not.
