I leaned that if a node or layer has already function, copy pasting it will not create new function, and both have the save one. Drawing layer always has function but pegs will have it if we Animate them. And lastly Duplicating a node or layer always will create the same layer but with new and unlinked functions.
Hey there, do you know if there's a way to add labels for joints or bones? That way I can see the name of it visually and know which one I need to access in the node viewer. Even if there's a plugin? Actually, do you have a video about good plugins too for toon boom?
Hey hey hey, I was wondering if you could help me. Whenever I copy and paste vector art into a drawing layer, it flattens all artwork within the drawing. Any ideas why this happens. It just recently started happening and I am not sure what I did to cause this, but it is really taking a toll on my nerves :(
I can’t find any info on this specifically but here’s my question: If I copy paste the actual strokes of the drawing itself with the lasso, then open an Empty layer, and THEN paste it inside, it seems to allow me to copy aspects of a drawing without any problem that I’ve found so far. Have you tried this and encountered any issues I’m not seeing yet or has this come up at all? Just curious because even though I’m not seeing any potential problems it’s possible they just haven’t manifest yet and since I haven’t seen anything related to doing it this way as opposed to copying the node or layer itself, I was hoping you might be able to help with this?
I find this to be exemplary of everything wrong with harmony. Out of the box, it's extremely not intuitive, to the point of being malicious. To do something as basic as copy pasting a drawing, I have to look up a tutorial. It's set up to be opposite how anyone would expect anything to work in most situations. I might be a bit salty about this
You are indeed quite salty about it! And I can assure you there is no malicious intent behind this feature... X'D This clone drawing feature is fundamental and hyper useful. It's just how Harmony works. As explained in the video. It's how Harmony was created for in the past too, to allow scanning and ect. It translated as one of the most helpful feature of the software. No other software work like this, because no other software have this technology. And the thing you did not seem to understand, is that: (By what you wrote here: ) To do something as basic AS COPY PASTING A DRAWING, I have to look up a tutorial. ''copy paste a drawing'' But you are NOT copy pasting a drawing, you are copy pasting it's EXPOSURE in the timeline. EXPOSURE and DRAWINGS are two very different concepts. TV PAINT and FLASH don't differentiate Exposure and Drawing, so when you copy paste, you copy paste the drawing BUT that comes with a load of other problems. Like heavy scenes, buggy files and a hard time dealing with CYCLES in hand drawn animation and any kind of REUSE in a rig. Once you understand the feature, it's super helpful.
@@ZeBirdBrain Hi, thanks for responding to me. I really don't and didn't mean to look hostile. It's just for me, Harmony is a very big learning curve, like, can't get anything done without actual weeks of research level learning curve. To end on a positive. Hopefully I can get over these feelings and I'm sure it's just me frustrated with the program. Side note: Is there a way to do a "Things I wish were done differently in harmony" Type video and not have it come across super salty? I've been thinking about this for a while now as almost a type of therapy, though it might have the opposite effect
Found what I needed! Clone to link drawings but not exposure. Ze saves the day again
Glad to hear :)
Another great tutorial from ZeBird, awesome!!!
Glad you liked it!

how to copy and paste a rig to a new scene
Paste it in the library as a tpl... i have a video about it "package your rig"
Plz use your original voice so that it is easy to understand and explain little bit slowly...
or you can also set the video to 75% speed! :)
you work in dicney
I did once!
