      My father has been doing jui-jitsu, aikido, judo, n other shit on top of the military for almost 30 years. When ever I bring up the slightest recommendation for a diet, he tells me to fuck it. At 16, a diet is pointless and if youre training for more than 3 hours a day, the last thing you want is low carb. Just eat anything (as long as its not some fast food) dont drink your calories either. And don't count it. The point is, just stay active and systematic. I've been training a little less than a month, and boy, oh boy, ive made a huge difference. One of the most changed things was how I eat. Now I fuckin eat 3 times more prior to training, and some how im still excelling at pushups (increasing in number)
      Since I just started training, or if you did, my father says to train every single day, only take days off if you really need to (like if youre ill n shit).
      Trust me, I've started with barely 5 pushups and in 3-4weeks I'm squeezing out 20-30 in a single set. Just when I think about it, I ask myself why couldn't I have done this a few years ago.

    • @johnhue8933
      @johnhue8933 9 років тому +76

      +Ownage Raids I think you have a point.His face is starting to show signs of taking too many hits which is really concerning given his age but if you look at his technique in training it is hardly surprising. He practices with low hands his head is not covered as a result and is way too open to be hit. He has long arms and really good reach yet if you look at him on the pads he practices short punches and does not pivot on his right hand robbing himself of reach and power.When he does get his hands a bit higher he puts his right hand directly in front of his chin and not to the side that way if a direct shot is thrown it will hit his right hand which will then hit himself in the face with his own glove. Stance is too wide which robs his mobility and sets himself up to take more of the force of punches that are thrown at him. These are really basic obvious things that should have been trained out of him a long time ago which makes me question how good his trainers are,watch his bad habits being ingrained in his shadow boxing, pad and bag work there is no defense. He has really long limbs but his style does not take advantage of it, with a higher correct guard ,better pivoting to get full length on his punches a narrower stance to improve mobility he would be much more difficult to fight and would not get hit as much. It is obvious he trains really hard and has a first rate work ethic and is 100% dedicated and brave all great qualities but he is training bad habits. He really needs someone to overhaul his technique and work more on quality than relentless quantity if he is to achieve his dreams and potential.

      A sign of being punch drunk is inability to complete sentences, which he is showing. Also dizzy spelling, which he is showing a little.
      Do not get me wrong I love combat sports, especially boxing and muay thai, but taking so many blows to the head on a regular basis is not good for you. The kid is doing this since he was 4 years old(that''s what he says), if you take a few years out of that number and see how long he was competing you will understand how many head strikes he has received.

    Live completely for training your kids In fighting at a young ago but that's that, training them, no sparring, no head contact until they're at least teenagers. I've been boxing for quite some years now and I've met people who are In their 20s who have been fighting since they were 5-6, and I've met fighters In their 20s who have been fighting for a few years, skill level, both groups are about the same, mental level, the ones who have been fighting, contact since they were kids, well they have to take a few pauses before finishing a complete sentence

    His team needs to make sure he doesn't fuck his brain up from punches, he's still in good shape but it's getting to the point where speech slurs are getting noticeable imo. Make sure you have some regular check-ups, whatever like speech training/reading to get the brain and speech going as well as the boxing training.
    Anyways he has great potential.

Think that the best thing a boy can do in his mid teens is acquire lots of experience in the ring and even be allowed to fight without headgear to show what a tough and courageous boy he is. Reshat clearly was and is now an awesome fighter benefitting from his experiences in his teens.
