If it wasn't for the 2014 Guardians of the galaxy movie, the guardians from the comics would not get this much love as it was now. Thank you so much James Gunn for giving them the attention it deserves!!!

If it wasn’t for the Ironman movie, his comics and the character wouldn’t get the love it does now either. Same with most of the MCU. All the characters they started with except the Hulk were considered B and C list.

What I loved most about this movie is that it wasn't dealing with some multiversal threat that required me to watch previous TV series, with cliffhangers that left me waiting for the Next Big Movie for the payoff.
Instead, it told a self-contained story with lots of heart about characters I previously knew nothing about, but learned to slowly love and appreciate -- including a tree that only says three words, and an abrasive rodent. But somehow I left that theater in tears, full of love and laughter for the last 2.5 hours that zoomed by. Amidst the size that the MCU has achieved, I consider this the true Marvel cinematic experience
Also, it's about characters we didn't know about but that's true for everybody. That's the point. We're given the context we need in film.
James Gunn knows how to write characters
We were also given a more personal and more satisfying story, with less on being part of something bigger like the multiverse, and more about something personal on a real life situation through characters and plot, all about facing your own past.

Actually it felt like the endgame of guardians of the galaxy, each character’s arc was shown completeness. Their strengths, why rocket was the way it was, and how beautiful and innocence was and is always inside him. He just put a shell on it, because of the world he faced. I remember GOTG 2, the dialogue between Rocket and Yondu, Rocket felt like opening for the first time I guess.. this movie was amazing, after a very long time, it felt like the Marvel Magic was back..
When I first saw this trailer, I sent it to a friend who also loved the guardians of the Galaxy.
She never got to see it unfortunately 😞 she was taken a couple months before its release.

One thing that just gets me is Nebula's smile. After all she's been through, and after her long arc of opening up, her just having fun and smiling is one of the most triumphant sights in the MCU for me.

Seeing nebula having fun and cheering in some unknown bar with her friends is the most heartwarming scene i've seen all year. She totally deserves it after all the bitterness and anguish thanos put her through, and I hope this movie is a box office success.

One thing i like about the guardians franchise is that they actually feel like a separate entity that can exist outside of the Avengers. Like you can watch the guardians trilogy and not care about what happens in the Avengers crossovers. And i genuinely think that's a good thing.
Edit: should've phrased it better. I meant the first two movies. This one isn't even out yet and I'm well aware of the Gamora dies plot point.
I feel like infinity war/endgame is a big part to Peters current character. The guilt of losing gamora and feeling like he could’ve saved the day properly before being dusted.

It's been three weeks and I still get my heart split in two at that hug between Lylla and Rocket! And then the "Sky" quote just gets me teary eyed. How did a movie manage to make a whole theater cry without killing any of the main characters?

Na it's a MCU movie. They could make Squirrel Girl and make half a billion. There are others who could have done better than he did. He kind of butchered the source material. Nerfed Peter's power and there is no Nova.

Honestly. One of the best MCU films. Did not disappoint!
Easily one of the best marvel films in a really really long time. I would put this right next to Endgame without a doubt. The character arcs for each of the main character, the messages conveyed behind the storyline, the perfect timing of the jokes, the great song selections, the incredible CGI, etc. Perfect way to wrap up the finale of this series. And shout out to Mantis, my absolute favorite character in this movie.

Nebula's character arc is just outstanding! From a fearsome villain to a beloved member of the Guardians, she has come a long way. The way she balances making amends for her past mistakes while also honouring her sister Gamora is truly inspiring. It just goes to show that it's never too late to turn over a new leaf and become a better person. I can't get enough of Nebula's wit and sarcasm, and the dynamic she brings to the team. Bravo, Nebula! 💪👩🦲

I've seen a lot of comments saying this is the best Marvel movie since Endgame. I just saw GOTG3 and I've got to tell you that it's so, so much better than that. It was absolutely brilliant - so full of humour and heart, twists and turns.

Just saw it earlier this evening.
I was going into seeing this expecting to leave feeling the same way I have about the prior two Guardians movies. I was completely blown away, this movie shocked me. The stakes were high, the trauma was tough to watch and I felt real pity at moments, yet it was hilarious and ultimately triumphant. What an excellent movie. Certainly my favorite of this trilogy, and the best since No Way Home. WOW

I just watched this on Disney plus, and I got to say, you will cry. I am very emotional, and I cried so much. This is such a sad story, and so beautifully told. 10/10

Something I really love about Guardians movies is they aren't inherently connected to everything else happening in the MCU, they have their own journeys and adventures that don't deal very closely if at all with Thanos or Kang or Multiverse or anything. Just vague connections and mostly ideas.
I agree that they don’t have a front connection to Kang or the Multiverse (yet?), but GotG were first big entry point to thanos. The infinity stones were explored most thoroughly in Guardians 1. And Gamora and nebula are both daughters of Thanos.
The first Guardians movie was pretty connected

I've already seen this movie in theaters 10 times. I still love this trailer, and I still get chills watching it. And this is honestly one of the only movies that I think truly lived up to the trailer and the hype it created.

The line Rocket says “He didn’t want to make things perfect..he just hates things the way they are.” Really gives me chills, and I think is going to play a very big part in the overall story. Not liking things they way they are, and how you can or sometimes can’t change things. I really love the Guardians’s movies because of how well James Gunn wrote them, and you can tell everyone attached to this movie is putting their hearts into it
You can be broken, imperfect, even doomed - and still have a loving wonderful family that sticks with you to the end.
That's what I take from this trilogy and this trailer.
Couldn’t have said it better myself. I think this trilogy will stand out in the MCU as the best. Or at least the most consistency in tone and quality.
That pretty much describes the absolute majority of people who desire a change in society.

The guardians trilogy is the BEST franchise in the whole mcu. They’re all HIGH 8/10’s with guardians 3 teetering on a 9.
What did this movie prove? That we aren't tired of superhero movies, we were tired of getting movies without the heart that made them great.
I did like phase 4 but man there were only like 5 projects that whole phase that I loved. That's including TV shows.
Guardians 3 is an MCU film yeah, but it's an MCU film that actually felt like a Film, not just another installment. Thank you James for one last ride with this family of misfits, you will be missed. ❤

I totally can relate, have been crying a lot. Just came to rewatch this masterpiece. In my imagination, we have an open ending with many possibilities so my mind can rest, but the story is still deeply depressing and yet wonderful.

@@rahulverma8774 nothing wrong with dating your ex’s sibling but only if you’ve cleared up your mind and not looking for escape. The problem is Gamora ‘died’, they didn’t broke up. Then Peter was snapped for 5 years, he didn’t get time to mourn and move on. Everything is still settling for him and then there’s this Gamora who is just a past version who just haven’t fall in love with him yet. Even in previous movies it took years for Quill and Gamora to become a couple so there would always be a lingering ‘what if’ thing going on in his mind until they’ve a proper talk and he finally moves on.
There's just something about the music at 1:11 - 1:47 that is just so swelling and emotional, like coming to the end of the road with you life long friends and family. It reminds me of highschool graduation and everyone leaving for summer not knowing whether or not we'll ever see each other again. The score really got to me at 1:25 I was 9 years old when the first trailer for gotg came out, now Iam 18 getting ready for college... Jeez does time fly, all the memories just come flooding back in it kinda hurts 😔 Thank you James Gunn you mad scientis!, This trilogy is now my favourite MCU trilogy, the music and visuals are like no other, it's incredible. Such personal and heartfelt story, love it to death

When Rocket says beautiful sky in the trailer, it hits differently now. I was sobbing in tears half of the movie. I loved it, it was beautiful, but so painful, tbh.

I can’t believe it’s already been four months since this movie came out in theatres and this is still one my favourite movies from phase five so far and I will never, ever forget the experience I’ve had in a while.
This movie made me cry. Rocket really suffered. His story is seriously brutal and pathetic. You really gotta watch it. James Gunn never dissapoints.
Idk why, but Drax said “I am grateful to fight beside my friends”, I felt like he was going to follow that up with “but I’m even more grateful to die beside my family”

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is not only the Best of the trilogy, but probably Marvels Best Film. It balances character, emotion, narrative, themes, with such simplicity. Every character arc comes to a beautiful conclusion that feels completely in line with each character, and the finale is one I wasn't expecting but didn't know I needed. This is not recency bias, this is truly an outstanding film! 9.5/10

@@anushajain8198 Definitely, which was why Thanos was such an amazing villain, in my eyes the best ones are always the ones where you can make sense of their logic, where even though you know they're wrong you can completely get why they think they're right.

Yes, and thor should have done its own thing instead of trying to replicate it. GotG is its own unique vibe of misfits banded together with the right directory and theme to work with. I hope Marvel keeps their themes and characterizations consistent for each ground and individual instead of trying to be the other. The success of the a formerly obscure comic book franchise is proof and should work mostly well in isolation of other movies within the universe.

9.5/10 i love the way everyone’s story was concluded. perfect team, perfect soundtrack, perfect trilogy. truly the best and most genuine films out of all the MCU films and i will always cherish these films. thank u James Gunn and to everyone else who helped create this masterpiece of a trilogy. i will forever love you Guardians, farewell for now ❤

The first GOTG was my mom’s favorite comic book movie ever, sadly she passed away at just 65 from cancer complications in 2015, so this franchise has a very special place in my heart. So I’m very likely gonna shed tears by the end of this movie.

Is completely insane how James managed this characters for almost 10 years, maybe he didn't directed them all that time, but man... he made the best MCU movie since Infinity War, for me... it's much better than Endgame.

This trailer was more upbeat like they're going to try to save the galaxy again, rather than going to a funeral, like the other trailers. I looked up racoons and they can live to 16 years in captivity, so maybe Rocket's dying of old age?
@@sandal_thong8631 they wouldn’t do that in a movie. In the comics he was alive alot longer than 16 years. It’s fantasy they can chose how old a character can go for, if he does die he probably will go out sacrificing himself to save the rest of his friends if anyone else dies before him

This was the best in the Guardians trilogy and one of the best MCU movies I've ever seen. This movie was such a perfect send-off for this beautiful family with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Every single character got their time to shine, the comedy and emotion was all hit, no miss for me, the High Evolutionary is an amazing villain, and Rocket's backstory was so perfect and heartbreaking. If the word "heart" was a Marvel movie, GOTG3 is that movie. Words cannot describe how much I adored this movie. Thank you, James Gunn.
