Kerdi fix isnt a waterproof sealer. Its a glue only and does leak if used solely as a waterproofing.
Those steel brackets did you make those or can you buy them when your making a bench. Just asking. Going to be making a bench in my shower too
If you look online, there are hidden brackets for solid surface countertops. And they have multiple mounting options along with varying lengths.
I recently did a bathroom but this product you are using is so expensive.

Totally unessasary steps done here, when all you need to do was put in brackets and plywood and it would be even stronger and lot less labor and money related.
