John Souttar is stepping up this season . His perfomances have been consistently strong lately and it was no surprise he was MOTM last night . Age is on his side to stake his claim for that captains armband at Rangers and solidify his place in Scotlands backline going forward. We now enter a period of 7 matches in 21 days that can define Rangers season starting on Sunday. We have to rely on an unreliable striker in Cyriel Dessers not because the manager loves him or thinks he is Van Nistelroy but because needs necessitate. Igamane still raw with bags of potential Danilo forced to start again in his recovery process. Slow and steady gets him back not throwing him in and hoping for the best. Having Danilo back and firing before Christmas is the target here. Should we have bought another striker ? Yes . Were the funds available there? No. Similarly with that right back slot . Sterling may well be having fitness issues this season which he must overcome to unearth Tav from a starting berth but Kasanwirjo can really turn the screw and make that push. He looks like a steal and worthy of a deal. The Tav situation is not as straightforward as just dropping him locking him in the dressingroom and throwing away the key. He is on a big hefty wage and the best solution is that a club in Turkey come calling for him in January and Creag bloody Robertson is not trying to haggle with them as he has gone on to seek out a new adventure. I see links with Rangers and Darío Osorio young 20yr old Chilean International attacker who plays for FC Midtjylland emerging. I would be very surprised if we could attract him to Ibrox given the interest in him across Europe and from some seriously big hitters in EPL and the financial outlay involved . I'll file those links under " fanciful rumours" but not rule out that we are actually looking at a young Chilean International attacker just not Dario . 😂
Fine review as always Owen, considering Big John was motm in both internationals it makes a mockery of Clarke's team selection previously, mon the Soapy future captain for me.

Enjoyed the Scotland game last night and as everyone is saying John had a great game
Our main problem all season is that we dont score enough goals. Couldnt even score v Dundee in a bounce game. We should've adressed it during the summer window but neglected the glaring issue again. Lawrence has chipped in a few recently and now hes injured.
Absolutely a striker should have been signed the three we have were never going to be enough! And I’m absolutely sick to death of the Dessers lovers who just don’t see him for what he truly is bang average
@@GRN1872 When we had Morelos at his best he bullied centre backs. Alfie could hold up the ball that few precious seconds to move us upfield. Against Lyon, their centre backs bullied Dressers and he hardly got a kick. Because of that the ball kept coming back at us all night. Whilst I complain about Clement, I'm know that the Board didn't back him with the players he needed. We needed Sima back, but he was too expensive so he went to Brest. At least Sima had heading ability unlike any of our current forwards.

Surely Koppen and Clement realised this. The Board were either unable or unwilling to buy a striker. I follow West ham was well as Rangers. Michail Antonio isn't a prolific scorer, but he holds up the ball and plays in people like Bowen. We need that type of player.
Big soapy really needs kick on with us now still gives me the fear against septic fc. Tough game Sunday on a shocking pitch confident we will win. Prepared for a hard watch as always
