It was a tough day at a new spot. After no luck with bait or worms we decided to move.
After some time with no bites at this other spot, i started to walk around casting a crank bait .
On a long cast but about 10 feet from the bank i got hit! and hit Hard!!!
It was a giant Salmon!!
Unfortunately I was completely outmatched. The size and strength of this salmon made for an incredible fight. I held on the best that I could, but with 12 pound test line. I was at the mercy of this fish. With absolutely no control, all i could do was hang on.
After about 15 minutes the salmon made a dash for the bank and spit out the crank bait! I was so disappointed, but hooking up on this salmon was way better than going home completely skunked.
