The Warthog run will always live in my memory as one of the greatest moments in gaming.
Yeah, Destiny hasn't had great Main Story Quests, like ever... The Last Wish raid however, during the Main Boss, had the nostalgic feeling of Halo, a first time in a long time for Bungie. Finally giving the player a "we're winning the fight" moment, in endgame content that majority of the playerbase will never experience. (See "Destiny 2 OST - Riven of a Thousand Voices" [8:14 buildup, 8:50 main theme leitmotif used masterfully] ) But man, when I got there, it's like "Old Bungie is in there somewhere... They're just having a hard time getting it out." We don't see them often nowadays... But they're there.
@@RunePlaysGames Rest of the community will never experience for more reason than one: I've grinder out 1k, and save the first time we did out of interest, I never heard that theme because we were just cluster rocketing the supposed wish Dragon in ten seconds. Even their best boss fight theme is pretty much optional.

The highest chance of experiencing that is if you had a 6-man static who agrees to do the whole thing legit. Even then, Riven can be frustrating to the point of doing the first clear as a cluster run. Communication errors occur easily across all the mechanics, and I appreciate the difficulty personally, but it's quite the chore when you're farming for 1K week to week, and cluster bomb is popular for that reason. Still, I'm glad I got to experience that and I'm thankful that I had a static to run it with.

My literal childhood in one song goddamn I hated the level itself when i was young. I had too much trouble with the exploding platforms and Id keep falling. But goddamn this ost for it made it so worth it, and finishing the game was so worth it and holy fucking shit nostalgia. You definitely did this piece a great deed, my man.
Flashbacks to being the gunner on the Warthog while the ring is exploding around you and flood are everywhere and the only thing in your mind is "Oh ShT oH sHt" as you're gunning down everything in front of you god awful driver, pumped full of adrenaline as Warthog Run blasts on your speakers, hitting you with that heavy bass.
