wrapping a horse is where you present it to a jump (with or without a rider) just before it takes off, you put the jump up 3 inches (or whatever height) the horse will knock the jump down - it will cause discomfort (as there are no boots on the legs) and the horse will learn to pick up its feet to avoid this pain/discomfort and you just keep on doing it till your horse learns.
therefore whenever he is presented to a jump he will really pick up his feet to avoid the jump.sorry for the essay x

That is the most cautious jumping I've ever seen. Actually, this one time my mare jumped about two feet too high (the jump was only a foot tall). But definitely this horse has ability!! nice.
Never seen a horse jump so round... the knees aside, that's like Rox Dene-style jumping there!

I have worked with horses my whole life and have to say I havent seen a horse jump that high on it's own. Thats pretty cool. To those who keep saying this is somehow cruel, you just dont know horses, educate yourself.

Actually jumping that way demonstrates that the horse has had little or no training. Young, inexperienced horses tend to overjump like this because they don't have the experience to know how high they need to jump to clear an obstacle. The video is impressive because it shows the horse's potential after training.

C'est simplement un super cheval , il faut pas chercher plus loin ! Les gens cherchent constament des excuses bidon pour rester les meilleurs , mais si ton cheval saute pas aussi bien que sa , c pas une raison pour traité les propriétaires de celui ci de gens qui maltraitent les chevaux ! En tout cas j'adore les sauts qu'il fait ! :)

Overjumping is a common green-horse mistake that many horses do in the beginning. With training his jumps will be more in-tune with what the jumps require. So its LACK of training, not being over-tuned.
However that is one beautiful horse and he is going to do well in the jumping ring someday!

@Myseena55 Rapping is when someone stands at a jump, and when the horse jumps it, the person brings up a stick (usually bamboo) and hits the horses legs with it. Done repeatedly, it makes the horse anxious that if he does not jump very high he will hit the jump (get hit). It's banned by the FEI at shows, but you can't stop people doing it on their own properties

thats the whole point. they're showing off it's scope and jumping ability to probably a possible buyer or whatnot. Obviously it has excellent potential to be a top jumper.

Ich glaub nicht, dass er gebarrt wurde. Die Bewegungen würden dann nicht mehr so natürlich aussehen wie in dem Video. Ich finde, trotz, dass es enorm aussieht, ist trotdzem eine gewisse Natürtlichkeit und Freude am Springen des Pferdes zu sehen.
Schaut doch schon allein auf die Ohren, während es springt. Es sieht total zufrieden aus.
Und vielleicht ist das Pferdchen einfach noch ziemlich jung und kann die Höhe der Sprünge nicht einschätzen :)

it is a Belgium warmblood from the Zangersheide Studbook near Lanaken in Belgium. Significant for this pedigree is the added "Z" to the name of the horse. Famous horses like Ratina Z or Zandor Z are from there. You can notice the "Z" on that pictures while the horse is jumping.

i think she's 5 this year. And sold for sure!! This video is from Zangersheide 2007. I was there but didn't see this horse. The horses i saw wasn't even close to this one!
