- Brett LaSala continues his hot streak with his victory in Extreme 28s vs Tres Cuarto at the Reunion at BMP. Not without challenge, he was actually the underdog throughout the race to other racers like Keith Rhea and Larry Ramnath, not to mention having to deal with other heavy hitters like Cleetus McFarland.

Cleetuses team would be too if they weren't busy pissing around with RC planes and boats. Snot rocket is probably gonna win again because cleetus is just turned into a youtuber not a racer like the other guys. Sorry to say it but cleetus made it to where he was because of YT money
I mean last season he didn't have a spare trans lined up, he wasn't doing a lot of testing before hand on his fleet etc etc etc.

Holy close race. That white mustang is a threat to Snot Rocket. Those Foxes looked fast too just had some issues during their passes.

@@667.Racing Been racing 35+ years. Seen a ton of what happened in this video. Sometimes I do the gapping and sometimes I get gapped. It’s gonna happen at some point if you race enough.

@@667.RacingI mean it wasn’t the engine’s fault, Cleetus’s el Camino has peaked because el Caminos have huge wheel bases and horrible chassis to begin with, hence why he’s always spinning at the 1/8th mile

Difference between Brett and cleeter, Brett is 100% all in all the time racing and fine tuning, everything goes in to the goal(winning). cleet, he is making content and doesn't spend the time needed to compete at that level.
An SMX and good car can't win without doing the track work. It matters not how much money is in the el camino without the effort.

That truck is way to heavy to even fw that stang power to weight ratio is a huge factor in drag racing even 25 pounds is like a hundred of a second or so ..

I think the reason all these coyote engines get off the line faster is from the big block chevys having too much low end tq that just breaks the tires lose whenever they throw more boost or rpm at them.
I'm a chevy guy but I'm not loyal to one brand over the other. The coyote is a killer engine. I wouldn't want one though but that has to do with money situation. When they break its gonna cost ya
Not true, at all. Tuning/suspension gets the car hooked and 228 mph @ Sick week shows the Coyote is PLENTY strong and whomped the BBC guys. Next excuse?

Cleetus brings people into the sport from all over the spectrum and offers a bigger picture for the sport, When did Bret last do something for the people instead of just his race? some people do it for others and some do it for themselves. Its only taken Garret and his team 5 years to get to Bretts level and like people say he has been doing it his whole life, so in another 5 years worlds the oyster.
He did some testing last week. Some!

@169abr never said what he was doing wasn't impressive, I was replying to the guy that said mullet needed a coyote. The SMX is capable of 4500+. Coyote is no where near that, and probably won't ever be.
