Ana gets a whole another season along with Rasputin which ends in one of the greatest cutscenes in the Destiny saga.
The Almighty crashing down took 4 hours to happen in game. Sat through all of it for a little emblem. :)

I miss the live events. I get why they stopped but man, the feeling and anticipation was unlike almost any other hype in the game

Yeah, Guardians jump off The Tower sometimes. It's a thing we do. There's a "Days since a Guardian last jumped off of The Tower" counter that actually updates in The Tower.
So this season had one the best endings with the Almightys destruction event. This was I believe the first event Destiny has done and it was actually pretty fun. So essentially it took a few hours but as you play through the season and you build up Rasputins weapons to blow up the Almighty it culminates here. People return to the tower and view the missiles launch and hit the Almighty until, as you saw, it finally explodes and crashes. Up next is the Season of Arrivals, my favorite season from the Shadowkeep era. Things to note about Season of the Worthy are that it featured for the first time recordings of golden age events. Rasputin, if im recalling my lore correctly, prevented alot of humans from leaving earth and turned all ships already out in space against the Darkness as a last ditch effort because he already determined when the Darkness arrived it was an extinction level event. He lost and that is why Rasputin feels he will lose again.
So the story of the tyrant and the tyrant's son is about Rasputin and Felwinter. Felwinter was believed to be an Exo but was actually an Ai created by Rasputin to watch humanity, which was resurrected by a ghost and became a "guardian"(they weren't called guardians yet). Felwinter joined the Iron Lords and was tricked by Rasputin to lead them to Siva, which you saw what happened to them in D1.
i remember watching the almighty event live, was pretty cool at the time seeing everyone in the tower just waiting, took about 3-4 hours to come to completion from what i remember, i think all we got for it was a little emblem aswell

21:00 Yeah Destiny weapon nams especially exotic rarity ones are great. There are too many good ones but here are some.
Alone as a God, sniper rifle. The Lament, Sword. Leviathan’s Breath, Bow. Izanagi’s Burden, Sniper Rifle. Conditional Finality, Shotgun. Fatebringer, Hand Cannon Wish-Ender, Bow and One Thousend Voices, Fusion Rifle.
Conditional Finality is probably favorite of that group 🤩

Not sure if you realized it but thing you thought was The Almighty falling to Earth during 25:00 - 28:00 is actually just a SMALL fragment of The Almighty (even then I wouldn't doubt if it was almost the same size as the Dino killer asteroid was (around 10 kilometers or 6 miles in size)).
The Almighty is....well..it was, larger in width than Luna (The Moon) is in diameter, at a whopping 3500 kilometers (2,175 miles) compared to Luna's 3,475 kilometers (2,159 miles)!
Honestly, the piece would've realistically caused way more damage then it did. Might've actually destroyed The Last City. After all, the meteorite that cause the Arizona Crater was around 30 - 50 meters and the piece of The Almighty would've been a few Kilometers at minimum!

I also always remember thinking/hoping we'd explore the wreckage of the fragment of The Almighty at some point for some reason or another.

Man, I completely forgot that the Seraph Tower Event showed Big Red having an army of giant robot frames that fired Valkyries.
I'm so glad I got to relive the almighty live event. That event is what brought me back from my hiatus from the game. That was the coolest thing I've ever experienced in Destiny 2. And now I'm just waiting for the new expansion and hoping that I can say that there is a new coolest experience when I get to play it.
Just wait until they get to Arrival's Live Event.

So, for Context at ~22:53, this is The Lighthouse, a Space only accessible to those who have gotten a Flawless Card in The Trials of Osiris, which is the "End Game" for PvP. A Flawless Card is a Card with 7 wins and no losses (unless you're using Passage of Mercy) in a row, each match consists of First to Five wins, 3v3. You can revive your Teammates and if a match goes for a certain length of time it goes from "Defeat all three Enemy Guardians" to "Defeat all three Enemy Guardians or capture the Zone". This is, expectedly, not an easy thing to accomplish and, statistically, most Guardians will never go Flawless. Now, why would you want to go Flawless, you ask? Because a trip to The Lighthouse gives you better Loot and having a Flawless Card means every win after your 7th will give you better Loot. Trials of Osiris Loot is generally very, very good and will generally have at least a few "Best in Slot" weapons.

The thing is , for Ana she was always a badass, it's just we couldn't really experience it, she didn't change much since you last saw her, you just got to see MORE of her
In lore it's said that she had such a powerful attack with her golden gun (one of the hunter class abilities) that you could still find traces of burning a century after she had shot with it.

Live events like the Almighty coming down were stellar if you were there, but it cost a LOT of time doing nothing, and for such a limited time, many couldn't attend cause of real life stuff. I get why they did away with events like that, yet it was something so remarkably special that I can't help but miss them.
I believe from start to the actual crash of the Almighty was... at least 2 real-time hours for me. Slowly watching it get closer, then Rasputins warsat network firing on the Almighty (those orange streaks coming from both sides) and the explosions of making contact all culminating in that one spectacular explosion will go down in history as one of the coolest moments in Destiny for me.
Knowing that it was live and not to be experienced again is pretty cool and must’ve been fun 🤩

28:32 You joking, but whole event was around 2-3 hours, where we just watched missiles slowly approaching Almighty, that's why people tweaking in corner, it's fast forwarding footage. In last hour people probably tried every brick in tower, so we could climb higher for better view, even maxing fov, so you will get artificial "zoom". It was long and boring as active event, but exciting and fun at the same time as activity with fellow Guardians. There will be another similar event, where people just stand and wait for "thing to happen", Bungie tried to do fortnite events, but not really succeded

Yay more Destiny journey. Destiny has been in a low state for quite a bit now. But, with the free content drop and that The Final Shape gameplay reveal that was shown on Tuesday, it has revitalized the spirits of a lot of the community. I dont think I have been, or have seen people this hyped for a Destiny expansion in quite awhile. Say what you will about Bungie, but boy do they know how to put on a show and make things look damn good!
The cool thing about the almighty being destroyed in this is.. it was an actual one time only in game live event. You had to be there at the right time to see it. i remember sitting in the tower with a few friends for like 2 hours watching its slow decent. It was incredibly cool and a definite "you had to be there" moment

The tyrant story is about rasputin,in destiny 1 he made a robot to understand humans called felwinter,the robot dies and resurects as a guardian,thats why rasputin want it back and kill him
This season brought a curse for any PvP players, the shotgun called Fellwinters Lie which TORMENTED crucible even after getting nerfed lmao

You guys got off easy, I was in the tower to watch that entire ship destruction happen . And we had to sit there for real time hours just watching it happen, and then you get rewarded a small cosmetic that basically says “ a little gift that shows that you were there and you wasted 4 hours watching a computer screen.

Felwinter, one of the Iron Lords, was a part of Rasputin. In a way, his son. When Felwinter died and became a guardian, Rasputin didnt like that. Thus he unleashed SIVA on the Iron Lords and got them killed. In the aftermath of it all, Rasputin regretted it.
The Shotgun retrieved from that “coffin” is Felwinter’s Lie. A notorious shotgun from Destiny 1 that had range like a motherfucker in PvP and was the bane of my existence and the crutch of many a terrible player. Felwinter’s Lie was that he wasnt a human turned exo, he was always a part of Rasputin.
Trials of Osiris is a competitive PvP mode full of the sweatiest players. After Saint came back, he took over as the announcer and coordinator of Trials. If you get 7 wins in a row without failing at all you go “Flawless” and get to claim special rewards from the Lighthouse.
My lore knowledge is a bit rusty on this but if i remember right, there was a Guardian aboard the Almighty when it was crashing and he was caught in a Temporal Anomaly that slowed time to a crawl. In his perfection, i think hes still aboard, waiting to meet his end. His ghost cant do anything cause he isnt dead so he cant be rezzed, hes just gotta wait a billion years.
The Tyran'ts Son(Rasputin) was Felwinter. Originally meant to spy on humanity post-collapse, but something happened and Felwinter was killed. Not long after a Ghost found Felwinter's body and brought him back. Rasputin was angered and chased him across the planet, even going so far as to drop missiles and a War Satellite(Warsat) on top of Felwinter. The rest of the story you know :P
Essentially, we learned that Rasputin deliberately destroyed the Iron Lords in order to kill Felwinter. After doing so, he felt deep remorse and sadness for losing his only child.
Yeah when ana mentions "Rasputin put out a lot of firepower at a single target, even dropped a warsat on it" that target was Felwinter before he was ressurected as a guardian, by his ghost, Felspring
It's crazy to think that the entirety of the Rise of Iron story happened because of that as well

It hurts to see one of the coolest concepts be wasted in Season of the Worthy, at least on the gameplay side. When I tell you this season was borderline unplayable.

Look, I’ll just come out and say it… most players don’t like this season. Sure, the storytelling was good, the cutscenes top notch… but the loot was subpar and the seasonal activity was frustrating as all hell. Not to mention all of the bugs! Granted, this season dropped the same time quarantine did, so it’s somewhat understandable, but the fact that this season was compared to Curse of Osiris is not a good look. It’s also when Destiny 2 was flooded with hackers due to the return of Trials. It was so bad that a few friends of mine who were hard PvP mains stopped playing entirely because they couldn’t go more than two games without running into hackers. I’m sorry for those out there who liked it, but this season almost completely ruined the game for me, and most of my friends call the Season of the Unworthy due to massive decrease in quality of life from the previous season.
Season of worthy or season of the worthless cheaters etc this is the lowest point during shadowkeep because of cheaters and the content itself sucked so bad and let’s not forget the felwinters quest and the f*cking door boss
