opens town center, queues 2-3 villagers, selects two villagers, hotkey builds a house, selects the 1 other vill, hotkey builds another house, selects scout, moves scout over to sheep. these are the opening actions for every civ that doesn't have some weird start with extra villagers or no houses etc. Just work on using hotkeys to build stuff and after a couple games you should get pretty quick at this even on a xbox controller. As for the rest of the video, that's gonna take quite a bit of practice
Me watching this and thinking this looks so easy, but when I try this with even the hard AI, I'm surprised every time 😭. I'm starting too wonder if the AI is watching these videos too
@@danielperkins9347 the key for me is picking a good adaptable civ. I like magyars bc they're super versatile with what I like, archers, calvary, and horse archers. I don't like hard build orders, yes you need a build order but once you hit mid feudal, it kinda goes out the window and you just need to adapt.

I can beat one AI pretty reliably, but we usually play more with my friends, and the problems start when some of the AIs don't instantly die. They start trading very early and very aggressively, and while we are trying desperately to save our dying teammates they just get such a lead that it seems impossible to come back.
Ok, this video was made in early 2021 or late 2020… Has the Definitive Edition since majorly beefed up the AI? He didn’t get pushed once. The AI on Hard routinely pushes me in early Feudal with 20+ skirms and archers.
Build a double stone wall early in Feudal. Buys you time to make a few knights. Shouldn't take a lot to kill their first wave off. Drop a castle right behind your wall. All of that should buy you enough time to build your army up. Consider university techs for castles and walls.

From Castle Age is AI pushing so much even when i kill 50 villagers AI refill it on different place on map and then start pushing me and its impossible. So only play how to beat it is to rush in feudal and somehow kill villagers with army. Then jump to castle and fast run siege and kill, if AI jump to Castle Age i am pretty sure dead even if his main base is ko.

I played against extreme ai not so long ago and it was looking good for the early to mid-game, then I only concentrated on booming and he finished me off with like 50 hussite wagons (especially since I didn't really keep my army production up and he just got me there)
@@danpower7416 it always outbooms us especially after fourth tc, cos ai can control every vill and every military unit in the exact same moment. Zero tc/vill idle time.

Amazing. Looked so easy! Also, this made me truly realize the difference in a pro level vs an avg aoe player like me! I get smashed by Harder AI let alone Extreme. But hopefully get there someday! ;)
The build order sheet makes it seem like you need to go to castle at 26 vils, and I was like "Am i really that bad? how can i have 100 food when im supposed to go up?". Luckily this video exists.
@Hera could you make a video showing how to beat the Extreme AI without any feudal aggression? I can usually win if I attack in feudal, but if I try fast castle or boom, they almost always out boom me and then pain ensues.
Hey, I make archers as fast as possible but when my first 6 archers come to enemy base they have more archers than me. And my units end up killed despite trying to escape
It's really hard to fight against extreme AI without attacking them in feudal and castle. I "dare" you to beat 1v2 while only attacking after 30 minutes
So it must be my timing or something but no matter how many archers I show up with in feudal it seems like ai has 4 more archers/skirms. My unit control is crappy so I’m sure that factors in. But my army just gets wiped. Plus if I attack and fall back they just chase me all The way (which they don’t seem to do here). Anyone have any advice?
When you ungarrison during the boar lure, do you use your "ungarrison" or "send back to work" hotkey? Does it involve a gather point? It happened really fast, kinda missed what happened in detail.
Just a question, have the many balance patches changed much when it comes to top civs (S / A tier), or is it mostly similar? Looking at yours, Vipers and SotF tier lists, some older than others
What sucks is whenever you do EVERYTHING the way you are supposed to, just like in this video, and the AI still beats you. I run a raid and get destroyed. I build more archers preparing for the counter and get destroyed.
This updated Extreme AI is brutal. It transitions Very fast, its army composition always counter yours. It spams and micro like hell, and is Very competent defending against rushes and withstanding pressure in order to comeback at you.

I build 2 or 3 towers on a hill between towns and put some skirms in them. Then ad castles in the same area but be ready for trend if you don't win by imperial.

Also later ai does use stances to dodge shots and shit and lures deer all the time. I tried archer rushes but im to slow and fall back into defence
I had the AI resigned when i only occupied 2 gold mines of him and i was surprised when he resigned because of that!!! And i was actually shocked that the AI did villager rush on the towers i build guarding the mines!!!

you could think about some fun AI challenges as well, maybe not just 1 v X of AI opponents e.g. 1v3 beat 1 with only Range-Units, 1 with only Infantry, 1 with only Cav (hence you gotta delete your WHOLE offensive army after beating 1)

Well... sounds normal, i beat the extreme AI consistently and I am 1025 or something. I guess the AI normally does not attack fast nor in a smart way (like it starts attacking buildings with archers), so it's quite hard to learn from it after a certain point.
Yes. I also feel the same. The biggest difference I found was the way AI attacks and a 1000+ elo player attacks. Also the way the AI keeps on sending vills to build the same building even if it is being attacked

Just did this build, (I have never beaten extreme before) and it worked on the first try, even though I fucked up! Then I did it better 2 times in a row, and in ranked games aswell and I've won everything so far! Great build, thx :D!
Can you and The Lord try and beat 6 extreme AIs (not including SilvaBoi because he obviously struggles with multiple AIs hehe 😇😁) ? While 1v3 is easy for players of your caliber, I think the bigger map size and the possibility of better sling/teamwork between the AIs will make it slightly harder and more challenging than just two 1v3s.
It always bugs me when I see Britons vs. Celts matchup and the Britons are blue and the Celts red and not vice versa. The same with Britons and Franks.
If TheViper watches this video four times and drinks GFuel, he should finally be able to beat 1v4 Extreme AI.

Step 2: Give enemy American Civ
Step 3: Castle the entire coast of every island and starve them.

When facing multiple ai is actually better to boom and steamroll them in early imp so around the 30 minute mark

How did you do to send each farmer back to his/her farm after garrisoning them in the TC with the mouse?
It's "send back to work" or just pressing f as hotkey.

I beat the ai by defending until the post imperial. The ai breaks in the late game and basically does nothing.

He has it on a control group, which if you press the hotkey twice, it centers the camera on what's in the control group.

First you garrison the vills, then use the "back to work" button at the TC. not the ungarrison button, but the "back to work" button.
yes, if you ungarrison with F they go back to what they were doing, if you ungarrison with G they go to the gathering point
