What do you have to battle with each day?

Is it growing confidence or regaining what what has been stripped from us? ??

Yeah the way I see it is we're born confident and then trained out of it. So "building" confidence is really more about re-discovering confidence. Check out Dr Alison Gopnik's book 'The Philosophical Baby' for scientific evidence that we're born confident/

Thanks for your honesty. I'm also hypersenstive plus empathetic - makes me vulnerable to be taken advantages of. I have to own the responcibility of taking care of my own boundaries.

I saw this on Facebook. Thank you for sharing your story. I’m sure it wasn’t easy. I just wanted to mention that sensory hypersensitivity, selective eating and food intolerances are all highly prevalent in people with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) and there is a chance that a man of your age may have gone through childhood without it being identified as it’s all still quite ‘new.’ It’s never too late to get a diagnosis. Most of the things you said made me think this and I couldn’t leave without telling you, especially as you mentioned schizophrenia and it wouldn’t help you to worry about that.

Thanks for sharing mate, I appreciate the insight. Since making the video I discovered the term Highly Sensitive Person and found that it hit the mark for me hsperson.com/
I had considered autism before because I know sensory sensitivity is part of it, but I don't have any of the other hallmarks (e.g. social awareness issues or difficulty understanding emotions). So perhaps I just have a 'taste' it, like being slightly on the spectrum

You’re right, sometimes I feel like you have it all sorted out. I enjoyed hearing you be vulnerable and that you like everyone else has their issues. Very cool how you’ve turned your “weakness” into a power by being able to read people and sense their emotions well (something that I think I am rather poor at).
When you mentioned that you’ve been having trouble sleeping recently due to temperature, have you heard of “ChiliPad?” I heard about it from Tim Ferriss. Haven’t bought it yet myself, but he says that ChiliPad has made the biggest difference in some people’s lives when it comes to sleep quality. It’s kind of expensive though...
