    It is great to know that Albert Einstein was a lover of music. As per the recent findings, scientists point out that music enhances the power of your brain. While listening to music activates certain part of your brain, actively playing activates all parts of your brain.

    Wonderful photos of Einstein playing the violin.
    A genius appreciating other geniuses (Bach and mozart)!

    Time to share my Einstein violin story. When I was a teenager in the mid-70s, I took several violin lessons from a first violin with the Philadelphia Orchestra. I believe his name was Grassi, or Gross, or something like that. He had played with Einstein in Princeton. He related to me that Einstein had told him, 'the only time my mind is ever really at peace, is when I am playing my violin.' And yes, this recording does sound like his playing, I have heard other recordings.

    Bach and Mozart - the only masters Chopin admired without reservation. (He also admired Beethoven, Hummel, Paganini, etc, but Bach and Mozart were his idols)

    Dude, great video! The best I´ve seen in UA-cam! I´d like to qualify it with 5 stars like 10 times, but thats not possible, though.
    Einstein is one of the best Human Beings that have been born in this planet for sure.

    The road to.. he whose heart is kind and open is never an end, yet when fear is placed with his child, his kin, his future, the road in its young heart is shut and then shut again.. treacherous holds the path, and then there is music only the soul knows of, in the path of his young.. enlivened in all things.. again and again..

      He was obviously a fairly good musician, but not excellent.
      .
      It takes time to figure out (and prove) that even if the sun disappeared, the earth would still orbit around it for 8 minutes... Or prove that matter = energy, therefore light (which has no mass) is also affected by gravitation (bends around massive objects like stars). Or that acceleration/gravitation affects an object in such a way that it slows down the rate of change in it on atomic level, which is called "time slows down" for the object. Most people think that high speed as such cause such a change of time (because only speeds/velocities are included in the time dilation formula in Special Relativity), but it does not. It's always the acceleration/gravitation which caused the speed, which is the reason for "time change". It's always a physical process in the object itself, slowed down activity on atomic level when affected by acceleration/gravitation. Therefore it is possible to "go forward in time", by physically aging slower compared with other objects.

      Just the fact that Albert Einstein loved music and played his violin, is inspiring! He was into music prior to becoming famous for his work in science! I did not know that he loved the music of Bach and Mozart the most. A famous quote from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe states: "Every day we should hear at least one little song, read one good poem, see one exquisite picture, and, if possible, speak a few sensible words." Albert Einstein probably knew that quote in the original German tongue, and more importantly LIVED THAT IN REAL LIFE!

    • @Music_Creativity_Science
      @Music_Creativity_Science 8 років тому

      Haha... those damned paradigm shifts (Newton -> Einstein)! Let's transform ourselves to computers/robots so that we can keep a certain programmed reality base forever.... (joking).
      .
      Science = exploring the mind of the creator. (Not necessarily a traditional God, can have been a natural immaterial creative energy/force/thought structure which naturally evolved pre Big Bang, and then transformed itself to a physical state in a "Big Bang".)
      .
      Main meaning with science = to aim for immortality as a species (as long as the sun shines). This will require another paradigm shift btw, the development/use of fusion energy.
      .
      Main meaning with music = to inspire our creativity to become such a force.
      .
      To me, Einstein is a perfect example of this.

    " If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music. I get most of my joy in life out of music ." ~ Albert Einstein

    I simply do not understand why every Education Department in every countries wants to reduce the time for arts and music classes.
    Arts made Einstein smart. Don't forget that.

    • @Music_Creativity_Science
      @Music_Creativity_Science 8 років тому +9

      This demands a fairly long answer/explanation... here's a short version. Einstein was not very popular among people who want to keep an animalistic view on mankind, to be able to control it with different forms of empires and oligarchical forces (today we have mega-banks and big corporations who strive in such a direction). An outburst/expression of such a creativity, and pure/true human thought power, can then be dangerous for political reasons. The masses must be kept dumbed down, mainly just produce/consume, for the 1% to be able to stay on top... more focus on mathematics for everyone (for example) is then "better" than really creative activities in schools. Most education systems / departments think (or have been told) that a human brain is a form of computer, and therefore aims for transforming itself to a robot of some kind. It's false, mankind aims for becoming a force in the solar system with high level energy (to survive as long as possible), with computers/robots as support concerning such limited forms of basically non-creative intelligence (mainly super fast mathematics/statistics, and industrial repetitive production).

      Because arts and music in school is useless and boring as fuck. You waste time on that shit and it doesn't make you a genius. I prefer keeping it as a passion. I like both art and music but schools just ruin it.

    rather obviously, people tend to overestimate the role of music played in Einstein's role as a scientist, although music is obviously a important part in his life. the truth is it was a hobby which made him relaxed, probably equivalent to the role cigarettes/cigars played for the great man. also rather obviously, smoking tobacco was also a very important part of the man's life.

    You haven't mentionned who and when was playing that Mozart and Bach- there is just an unclear refference in the descriptions. Was it Einstein? It is really well played, reminds me of Adolf Busch. I'm just searching for some recordings of E. playing himself.

I want the improv material. The human race is ready. Switching to improv to maximize brain power. Whadda baws!!!.....the capital E in the theory of relativity...does that mean it's in E major?
