good guide so far. And I deeply appreciate when you say you don't know what you don't know (i think , 'as I understand it' was the term). Let's us know when we need to go verify.
Awesome tutorial series! I am a newbee to all these. I am planning to build a PC with lots of HDDs in it and run unraid on it. My question is do I need good CPU or GPU to stream from that server? How does streaming work at the end of everything?
I am running an Intel Core i7-10700 CPU. no GPU, I am using the GPU included on the CPU (Intel UHD Graphics 630). I have had 11 Concurrent streams (1080p) going and worked perfectly. Using Intel Quicksync to transcode your streams is very efficient and in my opinion is more than you need. I had 2 4K streams going with no problem, but most of my media is 1080p .
Nice tutorial!, question around 11min in the video you create a folder but on my unraid I don't have that option and I have the same your version (do you have some extra pluging installed?
When I use 100% I usually get a warning on Sabnzbd that I have reach my maximum amount of connections, by using half or even just a few less than my maximum allowed I don't see this issue. May be different for you with your providers. I have noticed no negative effect by doing it my way for now. but that can change. That's all.
@@34methylenedioxyMA I figure as much. but I do reach 700-800 Mbps transfers sometimes (According to SabNzbd) I'll max them out again and see if the errors aren't too excessive. thx
@@jadehawk Don't worry you're doing great job.. There will always be people who have something to complain about, whatever you do, even if it's something as great as these video tutorials which on the top are even free. Why do you think there is all this crap on our wonderful earth.
@TheRogBG Have you ever considered that this guy has put a lot of effort into this video tutorial and invested his time and money into it, and on top you don't even have to pay a single dollar for it ??? Sorry if I might be rude, but sometimes it's necessary just to remind that not everything what these guys are doing here for us can just be taken for granted and that sometimes we should show some more respect and gratitude for there work instead of to complain about nonsense...

It's called Dynamix File Manager ( forums.unraid.net/topic/120982-dynamix-file-manager/ )
How many hard drives you running and which Synology model do you have
DS2419+ (9 Active Drives)
I’m going build new box for my media , do you have any recommendations
intel for sure because of Quick-Sync, i5 at the least. 10th gen or better
what plugin or app do you use for your organization? Great series btw!
If you mean how its organized on Unraid. Then it's called FolderView (forums.unraid.net/topic/142782-plugin-folderview/)
What is the sense of using only 50% of the providers connections? Don't you half your download speed with this?!

@@jadehawkyeah a few warnings is fine, you are losing lots of bandwidth by only using half.

wish people would stop advertising usenet. We dont need to draw more attention to the superior service.
Gatekeeping much? Usenet has been around probably longer than you and I. I'm a 70's kid. I'm sure my small channel will not be a factor.
