    As someone that has ADHD I cannot tell you how much I love your very detailed walk through and tips. This will help me so much so when we get to sail on QM2 next year I'll be ready to go having lots of this in my long term memory. Thank you both!

      Hi Jake, thank you so much, we are glad you enjoyed this and that it will be helpful your sailing on QM2 next year. Let us know how you get on when you cruise on her.
      Have a lovely day,

    Most tours of QM2 cut the travel, so you see the spaces, but not how they link, this is by far the best on youtube (and trust me i have hyperobsessed) when it actually comes to finding your bearings

      Thank you Chris. That is very kind. We film that way for that very reason. When we watched ship tours ourselves it is what we look for too, which us why we film that way.

    Ooo!! So excited to see this, I spend 3 days onboard a long time ago but I’d love to do a proper transatlantic 🥳❤️

      @SuiteNatured  Рік тому +1

      Thanks Emma. She is such a lovely ship and we'd love to do a TA on her too. It was fantastic going to the Fjords on her but you can tell she was built for doing the transatlantic in style.

    "no stock images are used" Just brilliant, and imo, the way to go.

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  Рік тому +1

      We've always had the sentiment that we are showing what we saw onboard in our videos Bob & Holly, and not what someone else shot. There's nothing wrong with using Stock Footage, and some of it is spectacular, and beyond what we could shoot, or have permission to shoot, but it is not ours, and so we don't use it.

    I enjoyed this so much, as well as the rest of the QM2 videos in this series. I plan to sail on this ship late next year and I'm so excited for it that I can hardly contain myself! Thanks again!

    That upper deck on the outside is a viewing platform for when the ship goes under the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge in New York. The ship “almost” touches and that platform is the highest point on the ship that you see it

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  Рік тому +1

      Wow. Thank you for that. We've sailed under that bridge before but to do it from their on QM2 would be amazing.

    How have I just stumbled upon this video now? Hello! I've used this to try and understand what QM2 looked like pre-refit, and I'm really pleasantly surprised that she appears to be in really good condition here.
    The refit seems to have just refreshed the ship, and made her feel nice and modern, but she's looking great here - great tour!

      he he he, maybe UA-cam was hiding it from you Fraser 🤣
      Apart from the Thermal Spa area, she looked lovely when we were on, and just a few worn carpets in a few areas, but mostly, as you've seen, she looked gorgeous.
      The new theatre screen looks a nice addition though.
      Hope you are keeping well.

    Thank you for showing additional areas on Deck 2 & Deck3. As my staterooms are on those decks on my future cruises. Excellent video and I'll watch it again before I go on my cruises. Looking forward to your "ship tips"!

    Those numbers stand for Life Raft Station. It's the evacuation point for those who will be getting into life rafts. Generally the crew, but passengers if needed.

      Thank you for confirming that. After the question was asked in the video I googled what a 'davit' is thinking it might shed some light. It's actually 'a small crane on board a ship, especially one of a pair for suspending or lowering a lifeboat'. Every day's a school day. BTW, I love seeing the chests and cabinets on the decks on Cunard ships holding the life jackets - so reassuring! (no, really...)😂

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  11 місяців тому

      he he he, we know what you mean about the life jackets, we have commented on them ourselves on there too.
      Thanks for confirming what that was, we hadn't googled it ourselves, and as you said, every day is a school day 😁
      Thank you, and have a lovely day, Linzi &

    Fantastic tour Mark! There were a couple of places we didn’t even know were there that you showed & we were on for 2weeks! Didn’t know you could sit in the Veranda & just have drinks either & we ate there twice!
    Plus we sat in Kings Court for a snack one afternoon & until seeing your video never realised that was the exact same place where we ate for the Alternative meals…maybe I had had too many cocktails to notice 🤪

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  Рік тому +1

      Thank you so much Adele. We have to admit, if we hadn't filmed the tour, we would have probably missed some of them too.
      It is well done to Cunard, that they make the alternative dining venues not look like the buffet in Kings Court, we've been to some on other cruise lines, and it is pretty much the same in the evening when you are paying more to sit there.

    Sir Samuels was given prominent 'Godiva' branding during the 2016 'remastering' refit [same time as the single staterooms replaced casino space & the old photo gallery, and the deck 13 staterooms added. The Godiva branding was still prominent November 2022.

    • @SuiteNatured

      Debi if you see us again come over, even if we have anyone else with us. We met up with a couple of our Facebook group members on the ship and suspect that is who was sat with us, so you would have been absolutely welcome to join us.

    Sorry to ask another question, do they post the dinner menu outside of Britannia in the morning or after lunch?

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  6 місяців тому +2

      Ask as many questions as you like :)
      The normally post the dinner menu for Britannia up straight after Lunch service has ended. However if you go into the restaurant, normally at any point in the day, they will show you the menu for the evening if you ask them

      It was amazing. Met some great people and spent a lot of time on deck 8, the morning showers always seemed to clear up by lunchtime, Norway was amazing, sail aways were a bit windy :-) didn’t want to leave …..

    • @SuiteNatured
      @SuiteNatured  Рік тому +1

      We absolutely did not want to leave either, and all the worse when friends of ours were boarding too for the 3 nighter, we could absolutely have stayed on.
      We got so lucky with the weather on the cruise, and have some great time lapse that we shot going into Olden and Bergen, which we will put up somewhere at some point, they were both stunning to sail into.
