If you own a Rebel, then you already know the answer. Many great clippers on the market now and most will get the job done. The Rebels, however, do more than get the job done, they improve the speed and quality of your work.
💯💯💯
I bought the rebel a few weeks ago. I love it soo much I bought another one. I like having my clippers at full power l, I haven’t used My Wahl seniors or magics since. Everything Sean says about these is 100% correct. The noise ain’t bad to be honest I got the Andis cordless Masters and they are mad loud compared to the Rebel so trust me they ain’t soo bad man.
Yeah the rebels are the sh!t!
Since ur comment was 6 months ago bro how do u feel about the noise now😂😂😂 cuz mines are loud as helllll lately i have been using the fx’s more just because of the loudness
Alright so I just started cutting my hair. Ive watched prob like 30 hours of videos on YT about how to fade and the "best" clippers, trimmers etc. Your videos are definitely the best and you stand out amongst everyone, thats for damn sure. Great content and personality. I was on the fence about what to buy but after watching a lot of your videos and some others, I decided on the SC Rebel (mainly bc it comes with the Fusion/Faper blade), the BabylissPRO Boost trimmer Matte black, and the BabylissPRo Foil. Thanks again for the info
That will be a sick setup! Appreciate the feedback!!!
@@Seancutshair thank you. Best
Wahl senior is my go to. Started with the corded magic clip, then went to the cordless magic clip and finally, I graduated to the seniors.
Seniors are solid
Did the same exact thing but i got the FX first before the seniors
Put the stylecraft fusion blade on it. Love it
I’m a starter and I got the corded seniors but I want something cordless. I’m not sure if I should get the cordless seniors since I have the corded. What would you say?
I got the rebel last week and I love it !! It’s super powerful and light weight! The blade is also fantastic I think it will win clipper of the year !
It’s a beast!
@@Seancutshair yes sir 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😎
Use them everyday! Great clippers with amazing battery life. They never die on me.
Absolutely
Love this clipper… Definitely a little bit noisy… But when you’re in the shop working. I don’t really think you notice it
I agree
Acquired these recently. Absolutely love em. My new favorite over the seniors. Bout to throw that stretch bracket on fr.
That stretch bracket is something that comes with the clipper?
Yeah the stretch with the fusion is it!
@@Seancutshair can you skip the 1/2 guards if you use the stretch bracket?
Yea I do it all the time
I have two rebels, one with the fade blade, one with the fusion blade. I use both always along with my Saber. What I use depends on what I'm doing. I find myself using the fade blade the most being that I do a lot of bald fades. 🤷🏾♂️
That’s a dope setup!
Does it ship with the fade blade or the fusion?
You should do a top 3 or 5 of your current favorite clippers/trimmers/shavers. There’s 3 videos for you right there. I’d be interested
I’ve done a few similar. May do a new one for 2023
X-Ergo, fusion blade and deep tooth cutter, nothing beats this combo
It’s solid! I definitely like this shape better but the X ergo is nice too
@@Seancutshair I also prefer the shape of the rebel/boosted but hate the noise 😂
Might get this clipper soon seen how it works & makes the job look much easier
It’s a beast!
My rebel clipper’s on/off switch is broken. Where can i buy a new switch. The metal bit broke. I love the clipper. Favourite clipper of all time.
I’m not sure maybe from stylecraft?
Floors look nice in the shop!! 💈
Thanks
Still have the absolute alfas by style craft and they’re awesome and still have not died and gets the job done as if I just got them ❤it and if you can review them again I just wanted to see how the rest of your options on them are?? Great content and your always inspiring and giving awesome gems.
Alpha is solid but the rebel is twice as strong
Which should i get as someone who is just buying their first clipper?babyliss gold fx,wahl magic, wahl senior or the rebel?
My personal preference would be the rebel or Babyliss. All 4 would be solid though
Mine worked great for 3 days, then they started snagging hair BADLY, no amount of oiling or adjusting helped, then the on/off switch began failing, a common style craft problem I hear from my peers. Expected more the way they were hyped up ..ahem ( I did love the fusion blade & battery life though)
Damn I hate to hear that I’ve had no problems
I’ve had the Hitters, Ergo & X Ergo. All broke in different ways. Absolutely terrible plastics used
@@MANCBARBER they have a UA-cam video explaining how to fix the switch, because it breaks so much, those are alphas in the videos, mine are rebels, AND THEY STILL HAVE THE SAME SWITCH??? C'mon now😤😤
@@mine_all_the_time0793 do you know what the video is called or do you have the link to it ? I've gotten 7 replacement switches from stylecraft and its still faulty
@@ggomez412 "how to change the power switch on gamma+alpha clippers"
Can someone answer if the premium wahl guards fits the SC REBEL ? Thanks.Peace&love🙏✂️
Great video, Sean. The rebel is on my top 3 clips.
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
What are your other two?
@@KottoKTGbabyliss lopro and sc ergo.
@@joeskichavez395 was the ergo worth it? U got the original or the new one? Does the original come with a clear face plate?
@@KottoKTG I have the style craft version. Honestly, I love that clipper. I use it to detail and it does an awesome job. On another note, always have taper, fade, and faper blade. They all cut different, and will help you take your cut to another level.
Thank you.. Damn somebody did a review right
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
i have a rebel but i feel like the guards don’t cut as much what other guards should i use on the rebel
Power comes with loudness
💯💯💯
Hey Sean thank you so much for this follow up video!!! I wanted to ask you what kind of taper blade fits the Rebel? Also which taper blade you'd recommend for the Rebel? Thx once again for your videos.🙏
Any Gamma, Stylecraft, Wahl, Babyliss, and Jrl are interchangeable. I use the fusion blade on the rebel with the stretch bracket
@@Seancutshair How come bro? Like why the stretch bracket? How does that help you, or what does that actually do for the cuts/fades? I’m not being a smart ass. I just really wanna hear some input from a great barber like yourself bro
Going from the masters to these (gamma boosted) the loudness hasn’t been an issues lol masters are loud at too
I agree the noise isn’t a problem
Is the rebel good for removing the zero line cause that’s the most hard part for me. I need a clipper which just slides like butter on the zero line. Which one u can recommend me ? Does the rebel also gets very hot fast ? I heard the babyliss gold is also very good good but u the pro broski
Yes it is. It cuts nice and close
Hey Sean. Not a barber but I just got a rebel and been using the wahl premium guards for trimming my beard. For some reason with the wahl 1/2 guard it pulls my hair. It’s well oiled and even if I brush off all the hair it still pulls. It doesn’t do this with the style craft guard but I just prefer the wahls cause they feel more gentle on my face. I did notice that the wahl 1/2 guard cuts closer and is much smaller than the style craft. Do you notice any pulling ? Are these just too fast and powerful for this guard?
Anyone else..thoughts?
I use the Wahl half and have no issues. I’m not sure what would be causing that
Yea weird. Waiting on a response from style craft. Thanks for getting back to me though!
I have the seniors, and I love them, but would you recommend changing the blade to something different? Or should I stick with the original blade because it's the best for it?
I always used the seniors with a taper blade, that’s my preference but whatever you’re comfortable with!
@@Seancutshair Which taper blade to be exact? Hope this isn't a stupid question, I'm learning 😂
@@kelseyvaughn2586 I use the fusion blade by stylecraft on my seniors and man it's so nice
@@kelseyvaughn2586 he’s referring g to the style craft FAPER blade. It is supposed to have both elements of a taper blade and a fade blade
Do you think they’ll release a Rebel 2.0 with a brushless motor next since the Saber has a brushless one? How long you think a Rebel will last lifetime?
Idk would be nice! I cut with mine quite a bit and still going strong after probably 8 months
I fuck with these heavy!!!!!! I just bought a Wahl Senior motor replacement and put it in my alpha and boom now I have a rebel
Nice I didn’t think of that
I bought the gamma boosted based on your recommendation and love it. So for that thank you! What's your take on the mythic? Thinking about adding it to the arsenal.
A lot of my guys like the mythic. I preferred the saber with the brushless motor, over the mythic. But liked the black better of course
Seems like mine just started getting louder. Should replacing the cam follower help?
You can that will help 👌🏻
What does that mean? I am from Mexico what part of the clipper is that
How heavy is the rebel clipper compared to the gamma boosted or wahl magic clippers? I like the lighter clippers
Same as the boosted and probably the magic clip
I have a issue wit my bottom blade shifting left to right ,also wich blade set up would be best on this clipper including fades and taper in 1 , this stock balde seems to never cut the bulk off the head proper
Fusion/taper blade is the best hands down
Are these valid? I started cutting my own hair. Still not as good but I want to know if I should get them?
They’re good I used them for a long time!
I have it and thinking about switching it with the Lo Pro tbh
To each his own 👌🏻
Yo, are the stylecraft instinct better ? I mean 11500 rpm and 7200 rpm, there is a difference. So the instinct is better ?
I hate the instinct. All that power and it can’t translate out the blade. Definitely not better imo
@@Seancutshair oh okay thanks.
Yooo Sean i have a rebel but the back housing is broken the screw that holds the lever turns freely no way to loosen it and the part where the stretch bracket goes is broken any idea where i can repair them?i need all of the rear housing Im from QC,canada bro
I don’t know if it can be fixed. That’s one difference I think the boosted has metal threads in there so that doesn’t happen. May just be time for a different clipper
Need to try the caliber .50 cal bmg feels the as strong as the rebel but more quite
Interesting never tried one
Your going to love them if you ever do
Got a used pair and a fx3 trimmer with Philthy blendz mod both for 130$ is that a solid deal ?
Super good deal!
How do you fix the noise? This has by far the loudest and if it were to be without the noise it'll be #1 clipper out here in 2023
Just gotta deal with it. My boosted didn’t get quite as loud and it is pretty much the same clipper
Bro try the calibers 50 big with the taper blade, you will love the clipper
Everybody keeps telling me that!
@@Seancutshair I guess what video you need to make now😂
I see a lot of people choosing the Rebel over the Babyliss Lo-Pro. Is the Rebel that much stronger? Does it cut smoother? I don't have either and wanted to get either the Rebel or Lo-Pro.
About to get the lo pro just because I prefer a quieter clipper. Not sure how the blade is going to be so ima test it out
There’s a video with Rum Barber Involving the LoPro,Rebel and the Legends and the Rebel destroyed both of those clippers in terms of power but at the end of the day it’s all preference
Not going to lie LoPros are my go to’s
I like how it cuts WAYYYY better than the lo pro. Lo pro clipper felt nice but didn’t like how it cut as much
@@Seancutshair did you feel they cut choppy ?
Where can you get the Rebels? Don’t see them in stock on stylecraft or anywhere?
Yeah they stay sold out. Try Fort Worth barber supply?
Does it ship with the fade blade or the fusion?
I believe the rebel has the fusion
I have the lo pro. Deciding if I should go rebel or just hold onto the lo pro
I didn’t love how the lo pro cut. Loved the clipper but didn’t cut how I like
@@Seancutshair did you try the fade blade, not the blade that came with it ?
Is the rebel also good for trimming beards?
Yes it is 👍🏻
Fire clipper
💯💯💯
what guards are best for rebels and what guards are best for seniors ?
I use the same guards for everything. I prefer Wahl premiums
@@Seancutshair thank you , which should i get seniors or rebels ?
Does this clipper does comes with the 0.5 guard?
I believe so
Do the wahl professional premium guards fit on the rebel?
Yes
My clippers won’t keep charge. Had it for like 1 week. And I think I took the battery to about 10%. And I didn’t charge it 100% before using it the first time. Please help me out. I have a 1 year warranty. Might ship it to Style craft
Yeah just reach out and use your warranty they should make it right
Where can I get the rebel clippers ? I can’t seem to find them
I’m not sure right now Gamma/Stylecraft said they’re having some kind of issue getting them
isnt the monster hybrid the same but with more power ? or is rebel better?
It’s similar but I definitely didn’t feel like it had more power
@@Seancutshair well its written monster hybrid 10000 rpm and rebel was i think 75000 rpm thats why i asked😇
@@Seancutshair what was ur experience and if u would compare both which would you choose
What guards do you use
Babyliss pro premiums
Is the rebel not being sold anymore? I can’t find it
Yeah I’m not sure what’s going on. Gamma Stylecraft told me supply chain issues. May be able to find one from a barber supply
Do you have the shallow or deep tooth cutting blade on the rebel?
The deep tooth cutter with the stretch bracket
@@Seancutshair thanks for the quick reply
whats the best cutting blade to go with the new fusion blade?
I use the gamma deep tooth cutting blade
@@Seancutshair thanks for the rly fast reply
Have used JRL 2020 C clipper?
Held it and immediately knew it wasn’t for me
@@Seancutshair It's really one of the best I have ever used. I used 90% of the clippers in the market but JRL is something else. Pls just give it more time. You gonna love it
Rebel is good.. just feels cheap in the hand.. nothing feels like a wahl senior tho…
I agree I wish it was metal
Does the fusion blade and stretch bracket cone with it?
Yes it does
@@Seancutshair ok ima put my stretch bracket on!!
Your an inspiration for me bud!! I will be opening my shop in jan!!
Where can I buy them they seem to be sold out everywhere
Yeah they’re out right now, maybe try a barber supply
where do you get the colored gaurds from ?
Amazon
Is there a way we can put a clicker level on the senior?
Wouldn’t think so
@@Seancutshair oh ok good to know. Thank you!
is it still good after a while?
Did you watch the video?!?
@@Seancutshair yes i did , it’s just been another 2 months lol
@@Seancutshair and what do you mean by it has no “power clip”?? 3:33
@@lllIl187 tomb45 powerclips for wireless charging
La máquina es muy bueno lo único que no se puede calibrar las cuchillas hay que usarla como viene de fábrica
You can adjust the blades no problem
How does it compare to the Babyliss lo-pros?
I didn’t like how the lo pro cut. Solid clipper though. Both are nice just depends on your preference
@@Seancutshair it cuts better if you put the babyliss fade blade on it instead
Can u put the tomb45 battery on the rebel asking for a friend 🤣.
Not direct plug and play but it could be possible 🤷🏻♂️
@@Seancutshair i thought so with a solder gun 👍
Would anyone recommend these specifically for self cutting?
I think it would be great
Love the rebels but does anyone else’s rebel not turn on sometimes, and it takes a few on/off clicks for it to turn back on
Sometimes if you’re moving too fast. Just turn it back off. Give it a second and usually it works the second time
Yeah Ive had my rebels for about four months now and Ive had the same thing happening. It dose not happen all that often but takes a few on/off clicks to turn on.
is the rebel better than the alpha??
Way better
@@Seancutshair i love your videos, i actually got the ergo , the alpha wouldnt hold a charge, hopefully its decent
Sooo y’all suggesting that I return my magic clippers to rebel?
I think the rebel is way better!
My rebels just started smoking 😢 I'm gonna have to buy another pair I just love them
😳😳😳
Phenomenal and one of the best clippers of all time but TOO DAMN LOUD. So loud I don’t recommend them anymore unless someone figures out how to dampen the noise
I just don’t see the noise being a problem but yes they are loud
Is no one else having problems with the on/off switch? I’ve have mine for like 3 months and it’s already not wanting to turn on sometimes
I had the same problem with my Andis masters cordless, I jump started it and it worked but now it’s doing the same thing. If you find out what the problem is let me know.
Right wtf . Mine are doing the same thing and only had them for about 3 months as well
Fuck that sucks hope it’s not expect to fix
I haven’t had any issues with that
My bad expensive *
The rebel was good for the first 3 months and then.. outta nowhere it got so loud that i dont use it because it bothers me.. if yall have any solutions for it let me know even it it makes a little bit difference
It comes with new cam followers now to replace when it gets loud. Maybe be able to get them on the website
@@Seancutshair are you talking about the pink one in the picture on their website? Cuz if that solves a little bit of the loudness im gonna buy it right away?
Have you Zero Gap the Rebel?
I don’t zero gap any of my clippers just adjust them close
Rebel VS Caliber 50 Cal BMG ??
Rebel all day
If they could fix the noise it would be #1 by far!!!
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I recently threw mine away got to way loud maybe a bad pair
They are loud but I don’t see what the big deal is with it
@@Seancutshair but I think mine weren’t normal it was like louder than another pair my buddy had like it wasn’t fixable
@@babytaper_7946 damn that’s rough should have hit them up maybe could have gotten a replacement
These clippers are disposable clippers. I bought 2 of them, they have a power button issue
That’s unfortunate
this is an italian manufacturer (from Gamma piu)
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
great clippers just loud over time. a metal body would certainly drown the noise
I agree they would be crazy with a metal body
what blades do you add to the rebels ? or keep them stock?
The fusion blade it comes with with the stretch bracket 👌🏻
My go to is the ergo but with the faper blade it’s next level
Bro me too I have one with a fade blade one with a taper
Absolutely
So I really enjoy mine a lot but I do feel the power isn’t very strong whenever it comes to removing bulk past a 2 guard.
Is there a blade that anyone has switched it to? It’s something I noticed relatively quick with that machine. It has the “fusion” blade on it.
I’ve been cutting hair for 10 years so I know my machines really well but I always see people talking about the Rebel being a lot of peoples favorites and I’m just curious if this peoples personal preferences combined on the internet or if it’s just how I personally experience the machine.
Thanks to any responses!
I loved it with the fusion blade and never had any issues with bulk. Make sure they’re set correctly
Greatest “pause” moment in the HISTORY of UA-cam @ 2:15
🤣🤣🤣
Know why the guards only go up to 6 ? All others go up to 8 leaving the hair 1" long.
Sometimes they just go up to 6. Any other set from sc will fit and have a #8
These things are way too loud!! Had some and sold them. Everyone says if you are in the shop in shouldn't bother you.....I like hearing the hair being cut.
If you in the shop more than likely you got background noise in the back and conversation also , these arent tht loud compared to a masters but then again the rebels are my loudest clippers lol they are strong but the apex is same motor and bit more quiet due to metal body
They’re loud but it doesn’t bother me
Would you sell your snap fx? I’ll buy them.
Definitely not gotta hang on to those
rebel ❤
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Damn just went thru all the comments and I’m guessing my rebels are the only ones that heat up so fast /: anyone else having this problem?
I haven’t had much of an issue with heat. Make sure they’re adjusted properly and oiled well.
Yeah I was thinking maybe a ceramic blade might help but I can’t find one for stylecraft clippers
I use instincts
Those were my least favorite
I've heard these bite the skin
Not if they’re adjusted right
A stylecraft masters lol
🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ 🤣
My opinion doesn’t really count, but I LOVE my rebel. Use code “seancutshair” 👌🏼👌🏼
Yessir!
Senior or this? 🤔
I like this with the fusion blade and stretch bracket. But the senior is always a solid choice as well
