bro..... pass the gas prices on to the customers, don't just eat the cost. business 101. put it in the description, "Free delivery within 20 mins", 10 miles, 1000 skips, whatever. if it's further than that then charge a $20-$40 delivery fee. I just finished out my first 30 days in couch flipping and hit 7.5k (pure profit), and I learned that gas is expensive very quickly.
If you got one of those Insta 360 GO thumb-sized cameras and mounted it on the included magnetic pendant necklace, you would have an unobtrusive way to film your pickups/drop-offs. I've done it a bunch last year couch flipping and I used the line "I'm doing a video project about buying (or) selling things on FB marketplace, and I have this little action cam her eon my chest. Do you mind if I record a little video?" 9/10 times they don't mind at all, and for the 1/10 that prefer not or are uncomfortable, I say "Ok, no worries at all then!" and I put it away in my pocket, but still have the GoPro set up inside my cargo van to capture something at least. It really leveled up my video edits bc people really want to see those interactions. Of course, I have yet to publish my couch flipping endeavors, so you're the man in the arena there. Kudos to you!
Thanks man! And that’s a really good idea! Yea that’s the thing I feel people would be weirded out haha but I definitely need to try that Iv been wanting to get those type of shots! Definitely would make for a better video!
Yet another great video mate. Love watching these and seeing your hustle and have so much respect for your entrepreneurial spirit and work rate. Again your biggest fan from Ireland!
Hey man, just started couch flipping myself. Flipped a nice ikea couch as my first flip and made $360 net profit from it. Bought a large tan sectional as my 3rd flip, for whatever reason I’m super nervous that I won’t be able to sell it. Are scuffs on the edges normal? Have you had any couches that haven’t sold?
Heck yea man! They always sell maybe just have to drop the price a little bit. And some can take a little time to sell but they always sell 👍🏻 maybe you can throw in a coffee table or end table to add a little. That helps sell things for me that are selling slow.
