I used to play this all the time on the GBA port. I got so good I was blanking the CPU on expert and made the story character so broken and OP. I have no idea how much I retained, but I need to get a GameCube and this game from somewhere and see.

I actually have dragon ball z budakai for ps2 and just revisited it today and it has some good graphics for being on ps2

Yoooo, you need to know the basic controls. They didn't even know how to serve properly, using the blue or purple there is really important! Also they cancel charges to get back to free movement and there are some manual "leap of faith" to save the ball... also not double charging the ball is a good strat.... man, now I wanna play this game

I don't think they figured out that the game doesn't register you starting a swing until the opponent actually hits the ball back to you. So you can't start charging a swing while it's still traveling towards your opponent.
