Man I just finished ds3 a couple days ago and I’m playing ds1 for the first time and this game is so humbling, I struggled just getting out of the character creation
if you want to summon npc before boss fight reverse hollowing first bro, then find some summon sign before boss foght wall, and cut boss tail for new weapon
nice video! always nice to see people experience DS1 for the 1st time, ill leave a couple notes if you want a slight bit of help :3 get a shield and parry - any (not giant lol) enemy using a sword, club etc can be parried :P also, its okay to strip naked, most players do - armour with early game equip load is jank and you can beat the game without it if you dont like the slow rolling (i personally hate wearing armour in DS1 lmao) the big guy (parriable) in front of the statue in the church wont respawn and neither will the sorcerer (not parriable) above him so theyre worth killing (this goes for a lot of the 'out of place' looking enemies) you're not mistaken, the DS1 hitboxes are pretty bad LOL in order to summon the witch beatrice (and any NPC) youll need to be in human form which requires you to 'reverse hollowing' at a bonfire - but the NPC summon signs are not always outside the fog gate! early game, you can 'kindle' a bonfire once using 1 humanity (so you would pop 2, one for becoming human and one for kindling) which will give you +5 estus flasks up to 20 flasks if an enemy has a tail, cut it off ;) and if youre playing online and wondering why a bell keeps going off thats because that means another real world player has rung a bell in their game :) and lastly, praise the sun! \[T]/
Hey man. I really liked the video, and wanted to share a couple tips that helped me 1. Pick your battles. You can honestly run past most enemies, and when going walking back to a boss there’s little merit in killing the enemies again. Plus, if you quit out to the menu, the enemy position and AI gets reset so they aren’t chasing you anymore. 2. Use your surroundings. If you, being one person, fight 3 people in an open area, you are immediately at a disadvantage. But, if you can funnel them down a corridor, you can take them one at a time. I saw you do this with the undead and mage, and was happy when that happened. This also applies to pits (push enemies into them), elevation differences (some enemy attacks might not hit if you’re higher/lower than they are), and corners (duck around them for cover while healing). 3. Be patient. Even if it means sacrificing some damage in the short term, try and wait out boss attacks so you can get a feel for the patterns, and so you can learn when you can attack/heal safely (especially heal). Also, taking time in the middle of a fight to regen stamina is super important, so always keep an eye on that bar. 4. Learn from your mistakes. If you get caught by an enemy ambush, make sure to attack them first next time. If you die to a boss, experiment with openings. If you get caught in a trap, try and bait it out so you can cross safely the next time. 5. There will always be a next time. There is no penalty for dying other than losing souls, which can be infinitely farmed. Dying in this game is inevitable so it’s best just to take it on the chin and try your best to see what you can gain from it. Hope that helps!
I have tried getting past the Bell Gargoyles many times over the past few years and just stopped playing. But this year, I decided to beat the game. I did it. It got the point where I'm just glad its fucking over ! Now on to DS3 for more pain and suffering. ❤❤❤ We don't talk about DS2.
New Looney video = happiness
God seeing the struggle with the bell gargoyles was pure joy, keep gping man :)
Happy you found joy in my suffering😂. Glad you enjoyed!

you're not mistaken, the DS1 hitboxes are pretty bad LOL
in order to summon the witch beatrice (and any NPC) youll need to be in human form which requires you to 'reverse hollowing' at a bonfire - but the NPC summon signs are not always outside the fog gate!
early game, you can 'kindle' a bonfire once using 1 humanity (so you would pop 2, one for becoming human and one for kindling) which will give you +5 estus flasks up to 20 flasks
