Hi. Change the handle for a havier one (I mounted the Lord head on the KCG handle) and it will work much better - a bit harsher razor, but it gives me pretty close shaves with Astra Superior Platinum blades. This Lord head is sort of a Merkur head copy. The Lord Platinum blades are waiting for their firs use in my cabinet. But the first razor with them will be my Mühle R89. Greetings.
I have the Shark Sterling razor (yeah that's the name) and I have to say it's a great aggressive razor. And whenever I nick myself it's totally my fault. It has a very hefty top unlike Gillette Sterling and the same black plastic handle as Gillette Sterling. Also the writings on the packaging is the same as you read on the video. And since Shark is the brand Lord company created to avoid confusion (there is one Lord company on Egypt and one on Turkey and both still active today) I think they sell Shark products to Arabic speaking and Eastern European countries, and they can use the name Lord where Turkey doesn't directly make business.
I didn't realize there were 2 Lord companies. Seems a little strange. The razor in the video was super thin and light, a heavier head is always better in my opinion.
Great Video ! I have the Lords Razor It is light the blade gave me a little Irritation someone said they believe China is manufacturing them I am going to try a different blade with the razor !
I’m wondering if it’s a good starter razor. I’m used to cartridge. But for some years now I haven’t shaved because I have facial psoriasis. I just grow a beard but people complain. But to properly treat the psoriasis I’d probably have to shave. (Edit: I’m on low income disability so getting a shaving setup is kind of expensive thus why I am thinking of trying this one. It’s 11 something on Amazon Canada.)
Sotd in UK , face scrub, Edwin jagger de89l , Tobs Eton college cream , alum osma block, yaqi 24 synthetic brush Moka, proraso sensitive white balm, fragrance aqua Di gio profumo 👌 . Think there is a newer version of the lord De razor u got called platinum
@@atlasshaving5154 i ordered one to try it's called lord platinum ,£7.99 on eBay UK ,also waiting for Wickham soap company russian leather soap company there matching balm, and club cola and balm , heard good things tbh 👍
That is one of the smoothest razors on the market. If there are two things Lord does well, that would be the blade reveal and the blade angle. Finding the correct angle for shaving against the grain is super easy. However, the blades are terrible. This shave would be completely different if he used Astra, Personna or some other better blades.
Thanks for the vid. Yes it's light, but not as light as my Brit made 1970's Gillette Tech which also has an aluminium handle, very short.

I was told they sold those in the PX in the middle east.

I've shaved with a Dollar Tree 3-piece razor with a plastic handle and insane blade exposure, and I didn't have one weeper...lol

😂 Thanks for the warning!
Lord Platinum Super Stainless is not a user friendly blade.
👍
I tried to shave with a valet. The kind with the "push" button. New blade...almost killed me. The most awful shave I've ever had.
which one makes a closer shave lord or king c gillette?
King C Gillette for sure.
OMG i tried that razor once, i couldnt leave the house for hours. It looked like i got in a fight with a cat and lost.

I am not familiar with that razor, but I would be quick to blame it for those cuts on the face you are getting.
