  • In this episode we bought the recreated Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle, launched some jumps with it, and it was awesome!

I got one for Xmas I think in 1977 or 1978. I still have fond memories of building ramps to launch it off of. Best Toy Ever!

I loved this toy as a kid and another I just remembered was a blow up robot with remote control base. It was the robot from buck rogers.

The original stunt cycle was made by Ideal Toy company. They sold millions. But when Evel was convicted of attacking a writer with a baseball bat and breaking the man's arm, the toy company pulled the toys from the shelves of toy stores. I wonder if this is a vintage toy or are they remaking it?

When Level jumped the shark it was all over, he literally jumped a shark on his last jump, yes one month before Fonzie, they were happy days

He actually jumped into 1980 before he quit. There is a list of all his jumps, over 300, in the Evel Knievel Museum in Topeka, KS. Most people only know of the televised ones, and the epic crashes.

Very durable to be crashed so much and not break. Made in Germany? Or Japan?
