- Today-ish marks 4 years of happily nappy living, so I dyed my hair blue. I was going for a navy blue, but next time I want all my hair to be that Superman blue. What's your experience with hair color? [CC available]

i've always wanted to dye my hair dark blue (you know how in comic books, people always have navy hair instead black hair? i guess that stuck with me).

Manic Panic is basically just paint to me. Sometimes I leave it in my hair overnight and it's ok.

I love that your hair is just like mine. Dark & kinky hair tutorial, I've been looking for you. Beautiful & subversive you. Manic Panic was a favorite of mine, too. And I streaked my hair Manic Panic Midnight Blue around the time this video was made,too.
I had a 9-5 job so I couldn't be outrageous as I wanted. My natural color is dark brown/black. You could only see the blue if the light hit it & you were paying attention, which was cool. I felt like jazz. I use a 20 creme developer and a different brand lightening pack. Your stripping process seems intense.

I love the blue, especially the bangs where the color really pops. My hair cannot take such frequent color changes, been there done that, big chopped it 3 times in my life, LOL. Now, as much as I want to, I'm afraid to even try a rinse, lol.

Its nice ! I have used rinses before when I had relax , jet black and mood blue from jazzing ( Clairol ) but since that I have not done color on my natural hair . I doubt rinses will work without lift my natural color . but I am lovin''''''''''''' this both colors !!!

i was wondering always if u can leave dye in longer than the packet says without harming the hair. this answers my question lol. i always ofllow the instructions but because i follow the recomended time i never get bright blue hair, it will look black, only red works. fingers crossed it works this time lol

I actually cut my hair pretty often -- i'm not actively growing it out or anything. I think the key is to just listen to your napps. I've bleached my hair a couple more times since this video and if i notice my hair like "girl byeeeee" then i just chill with whatever ugly color i have until i can continue the process later hahaha
