@bigguy8435 mma on point has really gone away from the beaten path. Those guys are doing absurd amounts of research, and have a big enough platform to get the info they need. Im completely blown away by their recent stuff and i love it. You also forgot mixed mollywhoppery, who is absolutely fantastic

Love how Izzy tricked Pereira in that corner to think he got this in the bag only to unleash a ferocious overhand right that i'm sure he perfected in the gym. That was Periera's weakness and he spotted it and executed the plan very well. Even in their first fight Izzy wobbled Pereira with the same overhand right on the same location on his head so he knew he has to target that area whenever Pereirae comes too close. He eventually tricked him into the corner and found a split second opening to finish him. Best KO we've seen for a long time.

Izzy’s fight IQ is next level…it was a masterclass…the way he intercepted the left hook with a jab first..stopping Pereira’s rythm..and then again with the overhand..it was one of the best fights I’ve ever seen..it can’t be more higher level than what these two does in the cage if we talk about striking
TBH I don’t think Izzy played possum by tricking Alex. The calf kick hurt & rocked him & Izzy was in major trouble. BUT that shows the man’s incredible mindset, he didn’t freeze in fear but unleashed vengeance & his mind and bravery for him the revenge he so badly craved and deserved. Izzy’s mental strength is unmatched & no one on earth can come near him on it.

One of the craziest lucky punches out of nowhere... hell merry survival punch that won the match. AWWWsome. Both of them were just throwing punches. Pereira using technical approach punches and Adesanya was just on survival mode, hoping to connect and fortunately, Adesanya lucked out with a hell merry right arm punch. Maybe that is the key for Adesanya from now on with Pereira, because he was out matched in the fight when he is too cautious. Get ready to rumble....... Adesanya vs. Pereira III.
Losing 0-3 is HARD, to find strength for the 4th fight is extraordinary. Hell, losing the belt could destroy most fighter like what happened to Anthony Joshua in Boxing.
Being able to be calm when Alex unleash his barrage to find the right moment for counter attack is super extraordinary considering the fact that Alex defeat him 3 times. Alex Pereira is a great fighter, he pushed Izzy beyond his normal limit.

@@chrisg667-1 When they first fought, Alex's son fell down on the ground playing dead, mocking Izzy for being knocked out. Izzy did the same thing to him because as he said - "If his dad won't teach him a lesson I will." If you listen to the press conference after the fight, you will hear him say this.

Even though the live odds have him as a slight favorite, Izzy was 100% an underdog in the eyes of the public (at least with a lot of the loud casual ones). I love a good underdog story when a man who once stood at the top reminds everyone WHY he even did it in the first place, and even reclaimed undisputed gold a similar way he first claimed it against Rob.

I must admit before the fight I was wondering how Izzy could win this fight , it felt harder for him to win than Periera, we know Periera could knock Izzy out and the ifs and maybes on how izzy could win the fight was could he get past Perieras knockout power to try and hurt him.
I think it looked tougher in the 1st round with Perieras leg kicks as well , I was getting worried as a lot were hurting izzy and a couple made him lose balance, maybe that was the catalyst for Izzy to go for it , play possum this time and counter , and it worked brilliantly.
I still think a few more rounds of those kicks could have been disaster for Izzy so I'm so pleased he finished Periera, and in superb fashion as well, that KO tops Perieras stoppage of izzy imo

It was like watching the main character fighting and fighting and fighting after so many times against his main rival and by not giving up he ended winning.
So inspiring.
And for Pereira, it also inspiring that after so many years of kickboxing he could compite at the highest level of MMA (also props to Glover Teixeira)
probably he'll move to LHW and fight Jamahal Hill if Jiri isn't recovered yet.
Or maybe fighting Jiri for contender fight.

Poatan is a NIGHTMARE & even worse for Izzy. The fortitude & mental strength Izzy showed is unheard of. Imagine what he felt was Alex calf kicked him onto the cage & started to unleash UFFF!! Forget normal souls even a warrior would have been in fear & Izzy who just months ago was stopped by Alex showed balls that I thought no one had to not fold but strike back with immense courage, then once he rocked Alex he didn’t waste a second to think or be relieved but instantly fired another huge right followed by a left hook & the rest was HIStory. Then to have the composure to pull out his bow & arrow to thrice strike Alex then snap the bow was WOW 🤩

I have a feeling Izzy is going to be one of the biggest legends in combat sports as time moves on. He has become more then just a fighter. That performance when he beat Alex was pretty magical and inspiring lol.
Pereira undid himself by going into exchanges without any respect for Adesanya's power. Had he been patient or had any semblance of humility, the result could've likely been different. And this should be a lesson for him. Nonetheless, the way Adesanya overcame such an incredible obstacle in emphatic fashion, is up there with the most inspirational displays I've ever seen in combat sports.
A very rare and unique fighter indeed, one of my favorites in all honesty proud to see him regain his rightful thrown as the middle weight king, the last style bender 🔥🔥

2:34 the editing from this timestamp through like 10-15 seconds was fantastic editing with the music going from the foreground to the background as it switched from the Protagonist to the argued Antagonist . Added with the nightmare scheme and keeping the same type of blue lighting when it switched to from each fighter, so its not an eyesore either.

You could tell in the staredowns that Izzy was different. During the first match, he looked like he was just trying to project casualness and confidence with him just swinging his arms around. This time he was completely focused. He wouldn't break the stare. But even so, I wasn't expecting him to win like he did, playing possum, letting Poatan believe he was going to get the KO again in another flurry of blows against the cage, and then KOing his nemesis with counterpunches. Amazing. I admit, I clowned the guy for wearing a dress and dog collar to the press conference, but he showed his grit and talent out there.
