    Good presentation and Navy advertising. AB Kabai has good charisma and holds your attention which I assume is why he was chosen. It is overall a great life when healthy, get injured or get lined up for medical discharge then you are now pretty much useless to them and are treated as such.

    Defence should talk to all the ex ADF who say not to join then fix the problem. When a VC says not to join the ADF then there's a problem!

    Good for recruitment. But, i do believe that a decent documentary maybe good? I get munch more information in my old age from the British and US Navy. Life is what you make of it.

    Looks like a cruise ship. Bit different to the USA ships. Let’s see us use some offensive drones on our Canberra class ships too

      We will and be even bigger then USA on using drones. Stryx is in animation videos being used on our navy ships. is a VTOL quadcopter drone using same AI as MQ28A Ghost bat..

    I don't know why I missed subbing to the Navy (I do other ADF channels). This video made me sub and bell. It was awesome as is Kabai. I'll wave next time you're in Jervis Bay 😃👍

      @@Ryan-lx6oh the design Canberra was based on could operate Harriers. This was excluded from the Canberra to make room for extra stuff.

      @@De_cool_dude Thanks for the Information man, I have always felt it was a waste of an asset just supporting choppers.
      But what would I know, I'm not a military man with zero hands on experience. (With current geo-poltics I'm just worried/paranoid, young Australian life's could be lost.)
      We might need to make the most of what we have got asset wise.

      @@Ryan-lx6oh oh, its not to say that the Canberras should have the capability to operate VSTOL aircraft; the original tender was for a logistical and amphibious assualt ship. That obv doesnt include F-35B, hence the lack of them.
      A navalised MQ-28, on the other hand, would be perhaps more beneficial and require less modification then an F-35B to operate.

  • @Corey-pd3mi

    Navy ads when I was growing up were full of energy, exciting and inspiring, they promoted strength and pride of the fleet and defending our nation, this is lame af. But you ticked the diversity box though, which we all know is what you were set out to do. Defence needs to lift it’s game if they want people to join

    • @SpaceShipDee
      @SpaceShipDee 2 місяці тому

      You'd realise that diverse actually brings strength to an organisation if you ever actually served. An absolute echo-chamber brings flawed analysis and planning to an operation. Without diverse views and context, any organisattion including Navy is far weaker.
      Expect a white male Australian CO with an entire white Australian male command div to understand the concept of Asian face saving manoeuvres? Don't think so.
      Old mate Xi Ping may be dumping flares, but that does not mean Navy should be shooting down J-10's and sparking an international incident. No diversity? Oops, that's a hostile act and now we're at war with China.
