Simple Sunday #28 - Five Item Crafting featuring Stampin' Up! Charming Duck Pond

This is such a cute stamp set! The ducks, duckling and frog are all adorable and because they’re so adorable, they make card making really easy. As I keep trying to use different colours, and explore the full palette of Stampin’ Up, I took inspiration from a popular duck - the Mallard.
The Mallard has a gorgeous colour on the male, which is very close to Pretty Peacock. So that’s how I chose my Simple Sunday featured colour. The ducks and duckling are two step stamping, where you stamp the outline and can then stamp the filler colour, if you so choose. For Simple Sunday, I chose to use both steps of these stamps as it helped to give the ducks some texture, while remaining on the right side of my 5 item rules.
To finish the card, I’ve flagged the sentiment and layered it up with dimensionals. Then added some background stamping to suit the ducks in the form of some reeds and lily pads. I love how the card has come together and can’t wait for you to see the stepped up version.
SIMPLE SUNDAY RULES
Five item crafting: The stamp set plus four items can be used to create the final project.
A basic craft kit can be used alongside (clear blocks, scissors, trimmer, adhesive etc.)
Only one colour, plus black can be included in the final project.
All Simple Sundays must have the project contained on a white 3" x 3" matt, which is then layered onto a white card base.
