Howdy! Sinaia is not in Transylvania, but in the north of Muntenia. Transylvania starts from the old border town, Predeal, which separated the Kingdom of Romania from Austria-Hungary until 1918.
There are also a very few people knowing that the Peleș Castle cost pretty same amount as the building of Parliament but all the romanians are proud of Peleș and King Carol but shamed by Ceausescu. The people memorie is short and they don't even remember that 90% of the population was peasants working barefoot till late in the autumn when Peleș was built but they blame Ceausescu for a similar value building, built with the romanians resources not bringing specialists from Italy and in the moment when the romainian industry was in its maximum of capacity.
it's a bit sad you guys were so late there. The castle has 3 floors and you can visit all of them. There's also a smaller one nearby (Pelisor, like 100 meters from the main one), which server as a wing of the castle. More opulence can be found there, with a room of mirrors, one entirely covered in gold plating and another with turkish hand made textiles. You missed on quite a bit
Timing was not on our side that day 😫 we had a few car issues earlier in the day we didn’t include. With all that being said, just another good reason to go back!
I am a castle lover. I went to Neuschwanstein Castle in 2001 and it has by far been the coolest thing I have ever done. I am so glad to see that other countries allow you to go and tour. It looks absolutely amazing.
Thank you again for your visit..i see know you saw Peleș Castlle..in another video wrote to you to go😆 and know i see you saw it! I am glad! This was the castlle of our royal family. Send you love! Thank you for the visit 🥰🥰🥰
We really only had issues when we needed something more detailed! Like at the train stations, very specific grocery store ingredients, things like that. Google translate was really helpful and it didn't feel like too much of an issue :)
That castle is wild!! So crazy to see mid-evil architecture
One of the coolest we've seen for sure!
Peleș Castle is not medieval. It was built between 1873 and 1914. This makes it rather contemporary for a castle. 🏰

Ah our mistake! Thank you 😊
@@AshleyandChristian , no problem. It's ok, not much peoples knows this little thing, not even Romanian.

Great video from you both. Can't wait to watch more
Thanks so much! Lots more to come ☺️
I love Sinaia and Peles Castle is beautiful, although my favorite is Bran Castle, it's a little smaller and cozier 🙂 Cheers from Canada!
We loved Bran too! It felt more homey haha

Any language barrier as such in Romanian prime cities/towns, I meant do people follow English as primary/secondary language ?
