Mike Murillo is the truth and I can't help but applaud this other dude for building the fastest 4 cyl on the planet. It's cool to see people with different philosophies race each other. It should happen more often.
Imports just don't have anything on v8's. It's amazing what's coming from 4's, 6's and rotary's but v8 pro mods are dipping into the 5's. I think v8's are just more consistent for straight line drag.

+wackomanx There's a built Supra out in the middle east that is running 6 flat in the quarter...there's also some Mexican man running a Scion with a 2JZ in it that ran a 5.98 or a 6 flat like last August at a Florida drag strip. There's also some crazy mofo running a 3 rotor 3 turbo RX8 that makes 1600+ HP and walks V8s. If you know what you're doing you can make an import just as fast as a V8.
You can never make an import as fast as a v8 LOL! Go look up top fuel dragsters. 10k horsepower v8's. Let's see your imports do that.
And cool ekanoo import promod supra runs in the high 5's. Promod v8's run the low-mid 5's. They are still quicker with more horsepower. End of point.
wackomanx The only point you're making is that the world's fastest V8 is a few tenths faster than the world's fastest 6...which is sad because you'd think with all that extra displacement it would be more than a few tenths faster...and that doesn't account for the many pro mod imports that race and beat pro mod V8's in the sport altogether. Every Pro Mod V8 doesn't run mid to low 5's, just the very best do. Just like not every Pro Mod import will run what the Ekanoo Supra runs. Most of them run somewhere in the mid to low 6 second range. And I don't need to look up Top Fuel Dragsters. I'm familiar with them. I also know that if you want to be the fastest thing in a straight line you'd scrap everything and use rocket propulsion. No 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, or 16 cylinder engine can outperform rocket propulsion.
