Mmmm...I love Ormande Jayne Vanille d’Iris. When I first sampled it, I thought it was too fleeting for the price. However, I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I finally bought a bottle. From the full bottle it lasts quite a while and projects decently...I think the sprayer on samples can sometimes change the way a fragrance wears bc I’ve had this happen more than once. It’s a gorgeous, sophisticated iris, with spice, woods, vanilla and jasmine...lovely.
It took me a while to figure out that vanilla is one of my favorite notes, from Shalimar Eau Legere to Annick Goutal Vanille Exquise. Always excited to hear about anything I haven't tried yet 😊
Vetiver and golden vanilla by jo malone, virile by sylvaine delacourte, and angelique noir by guerlain 3 of my fav vanillas! I used to own dama bianca but sold it and bought kobe which is a neroli cake smell to me.
For me the ulimate vanilla fragrance is Vanille from Mona di Orio. Which is rich, boozy, a little bit incensey, smoky, ultra spicy and woody, not this „sweet” or „candy-like” vanilla, but a grown-up type of vanilla. It is said to be insipred by the old woody rum barrels and old ships that transported cloves, oranges, sandalwoodl and - most of all - vanilla beans. For me it was the vanilla perfume I’ve been looking for for a really long time.
That one was once my holy grail vanilla perfume. I stopped wearing it because I made the mistake of wearing it to a funeral and now all it does for me is bring sad memories. But yesss, it's one of the best vanillas out there for sure!
Vanilla Iris sounds lovely..but I don’t like too sweet a fragrance 🤔 Love Iris and carrot seed in a fragrance, but it’s an expensive blind buy 😬 Love Montabaco by Ormonde Jayne💜
These all sound really good! I love vanilla!! Ill have to keeo these im mind to try. I wish my husband liked vanilla. I just dobt understand how anyone coyld NOT like it! Lol. Thanks for sharing!! 😊
I’ve heard and read so many good things about that one. And then I had a chance to try it - and it was an instant rapture. But after a moment sth changes in a structer of that smell, and it became so dirty sweet animalic on my skin, that I couldn’t stand it. And unfortunately it made me think of secretions spit out of animalic glands. And then - even when it came down to the base notes that were much nicer, I couldn’t forget that previous sensation:)
I just received a sample of Data Bianca and considering on ordering the 30ml bottle. To my nose (which is untrained :) it smells almost like an over ripe banana!! Weird but I kind of like it!! Also considering Lira and Erba Pura. Which is your favorite? Thanks!!

I would recommend Henry Rose’s Torn as a boozy / spicy vanilla and Indult Tihota as a pure, edible vanilla !
