Nicely explained. Small rectification/addition
1. Some IIMs are post 50 in NIRF ranking. Some good business schools having world rank in QS, but post 70 in NIRF. So, need subjective judgement, not objective.
2. Business schools don't offer MBA, but PGDM...institute must take the MBA equivalent certificate from AIU
3. FPM/PhD not only for academic or research. It is a myth. Any corporate roles & consulting roles are equally opened. That is the reason doctoral degrees are being opted by the corporate working professionals.
4. Research Proposal also is sought with application for FPM too.
5. You didn't mention Strategy as specialization

From IIMs it's a PhD Degree now and for other B-Schools it is like a diploma but has equal value if you have good research publications!
