Harmonic parameter is the closest thing to an octave switch in PP. AFAIK it was included specifically for audio rate sound design and functions similarly to the ratio knobs in synths like Ableton Operator. x1 is base, x2 one octave, x4 two octaves and so on.
Strong man very thank you! I have a request, remember "Millenia - Electric Universe" that sounds of 3:13 is something magic, can you make a tutorial with Serum? I think its not so harder cause I made It similar but not so good like him. thank you
@@spiralmoment to make it simpler(link below) if you don't have Physics/Electronics/Electric signal knowledge, if you have more than one instrument play the same thing at same time, on a music prod level or on stage, your instruments will cancel each other and you will hear nothing or a diminished signal, so you change the phase right ? (by offsetting it, slightly delaying them to each other) But Phase means comparison between 2 sine wave signals(or 2 cyclic signals) on a time or F x axis(F=1/T) so to picture, if you take a one sine wave as reference, at a specific time, the other sine wave( for exemple the carrier) that crosses the time axis in the same direction is called the phase(link below). For FM, if you tweek the F the the carrier, you will change the phase between the 2 signals and if you change the phase you will affect the F too... so you can replace each other in your equation. for radio example the range difference between the signal to transmit and the carrier is 10^3 and for synth I don't know the different algos.... link that explains phases: ressources.univ-lemans.fr/AccesLibre/UM/Pedago/physique/02/electro/modulfreq.html link where you can tweek the carrier: ressources.univ-lemans.fr/AccesLibre/UM/Pedago/physique/02/electro/modulfreq.html hope that helps :)
@@phantazzor yes if you modulate the phase you'll change the frequency, but that doesn't mean frequency and phase is the same. If fm and pm was the same you would get the same waveform, they would sound the same and one of the terms would be redundant.
@@spiralmoment nope, the amplitude can be different! and if the frequency of the 2nd signal is 2 ,4 times bigger, the phase will be equal but the freq not( to verify) because it is angular modulation (dont know the english but with pi involved). So let say you'd have the 2nd signal 2.1 time higher in Hz the 0.1 will affect the modulation , the difference in phase because at 2 it(the phase) would be the same if that make sense ! sonically if the phase are the same it doesnt do much I reckon(to check) tired late where I am
yes but be careful: Wave Table editing LFO editing is badly handled in Phaseplant. Its just to much of editing and not intuitive. Phaseplant also not capable of midi learn all parameters. Also.. and.. allthough it can sound really good... those lots of tiny windows are a pain and a big time loss.. for me.. and there is an Idea for this.. and how it could be much more accessible.. i hope updates come. Still.. and by far not what i imagine of the Synth of the future... more intelligent and useful updates are the only thing that will help stay in Business. Way to expensive without proffessional editing capabilities of everything.. midi LFO and Wavetable windows.. and Unison count Automatable and the list goes on and on.. its Time.. do it and secure a faithfull customer community through the years!! Thanks,!!
Great video Dash, got me inspired to Face Plant deeper into Phase Plant.
Faze Plant
looks like phase plant is THE synth to buy! ❤️❤️

fantastic video. For me its looks like, phase plant is like a huge Rig. With all the cabels to patch where ever you want it to go
Yes, Phase Plat tutorial. I Love it. Thank you so much.
Watched it twice now and I like it even more. Keep those gems coming, Glitch (please).
Cool! Thank you 👍
Well... well... sounds absolutely smashing in the mix. Top class.
Amazing dude you are awesome!
The Galbanum single waveform and wave table pack is a MUST with this synth!!!!!
11:40 omg this is gold man
awesome videos as always. I always find your videos informative enough to translate to many different styles of psy which is awesome.
I just got this and with a midi keyboard it feels like a hardware synth… amazing
Thanks bro! Really appreciate all your help and good vibes.
17:00 I love this!
Thanks Dash

You Best one in tutorial !
Thank you. What about creating a new playlist for your videos about Phase Plant (what you have done for Serum as well) ?
nice
just got PP yesterday. Its my first synth and it feels very fluid
learned alot, thanks
This is incredibly cool. Thanks for sharing !
Lovely synth! :)
amazing!!!
Thank you mate!
nice i gonna try it on my last track
THE THING 👍
I think your computer is haunted by the ghost of Jean-Jacques Perrey.
I need this
just wow..!
Awesome!
Lovely
Phase Plant - Reaktor Kill!
The "RANDOM" does not sync with the beat, it just plays 4/16 or 8/16 etc but it does not sync, thats a big issue for psytrance :(
Thank you for the Great video!! question which audio interface are you currently using? Keep up the Great work!!!
What about bitwig's grid?
Good :)

this sounds exactly like Surge VST
Phase modulation = FM , same thing it's just that people use the wrong name FM but nothing is wrong in either name in my opinion
How is frequency and phase the same?

how does one get 312 days of trial :O :O :O :O
And awesome tutorial as always :)thanks!
