In the Air Force I was a Med Tech/EMT and now I am a Field Service Manager for a medical device company in the Neuro and Spine market. My team services an Imaging device and surgical robot. I recently bought a Cherokee 140 with an upgraded 180hp Lycoming and constant speed prop. After I complete my PPL, I look to take my family of 3 on trips out west. I have a channel with some of my training videos and when my CFI and I flew my bird from GA to CO.
I just ran across your channel looking for videos of Destin landings. What a great surprise to see you flying from MDQ!! I soloed at MDQ and took my check-ride with Max from MDQ. Fantastic airport. I enjoyed the video and look forward to working through the others and catching up.
I really enjoy the videos. I noticed your 6 has the controls for an air conditioner, does it work and if so, how well? I currently have a PA28-160 and hopefully going to be upgrading to a 6 soon and being based in south Texas a/c would be nice. Thanks.
It works but has a huge door hanging in the breeze so really only useful for ground ops. Once you get above 3k the blower vents and fresh air vents do an adequate job. I wouldn’t seek one out of it wasn’t already on mine and if it breaks not sure I would pay to have it fixed.
Lee Cole ram x mount with suction cup. Have tried different ones and positions but this works best for my full size iPad. Put the suction on at 12k feet one day when it fell off and hasn’t budged since!
Only complaint... seems like a lot of folks posting these days are also uploading music videos. I’d rather hear the engine , radios & of course, you explaining what you are doing, how & why. Middle of your post, very low music in background was “okay”... but I almost closed in the beginning do to LOUD useless music. Other then that, thanks for position. (😬 you asked for pos & neg. - no hate, just IMHO) Scott
Pretty good video. Do you use a GoPro Max or something like it on the wing for the panning. I make videos for fun too and Destin is still on my short list. Watching videos like this really help me out on knowing what to expect. Feel free to check out some of my videos and feel free to comment with any pointers.
I have seen your channel- nice videos. I mounted a GoPro max on the wing. I like the 360 for panning shots but the video quality isn't as good. Also, hard to change the battery mid flight ;)
