I totally agree about Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow. I think the plot is really unique and the characters are interesting, but the story plateaus early on. It feels overly long and yes, the time period really didn’t seem like the 90s/early 2000s. It felt modern.
As someone who lives in Denver, reading White Horse was so fun because she name drops so many Denver places!!! Also, the White Horse is a real bar on Alameda! Not sure if it's still in business or not, it's a very gentrified area
Hey thanks for the video. Always looking forward to seeing you on UA-cam. I’ve read 6 books and the best out of the 6 was Look Closer by David Ellis. That was one page turner for me. And i felt the same towards You’re Invited as well. It was quite ok in the beginning but towards the 3/4 of the book, the story started to pick my interest.
100% agree with your comments on Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow! (Except I loved the video game talk and still felt that after Part 5, it started going downhill.) I really liked how the structure followed certain video game tropes too...and would still recommend to most readers, but there were definitely parts I hated.
I'm across the world from you and everyone is getting sick. Feels like c0vid but it isn't, and lasts for dayssssss man. Hope stress will be over soon! 💕
My favorite reads in November Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey his memoir I absolutely enjoyed it this memoir is very different from other celebrity memoirs if you are a fan of his movies then definitely read this book Christine by Stephen king I really enjoyed it reading the book definitely one of kings best books
Ah! I always leave a comment while I'm still watching and then want to talk about something else. I have to stop doing that, lol. I'm sad to hear about Matthew Perry's memoir being a let down. I have had it on hold at the library for forever now. I'll probably still read it though because I'm curious.
I'm glad I decided not to read Matthew Perry memoir I heard about the comment about Keanu Reeves is so disrespectful to me because Keanu was best friends with river Phoenix
November was also a weird reading month for me 😭 I read 4 books at the same time because none of them catchend me 🫠 and normally only read one book after another 🙈
i agree, i thought White Horse was way too reliant on The Shining. it kind of annoyed me how much it relied on that story to tell its own thing rather than just be an homage or have references here or there. it felt more like a detective/mystery than a thriller/horror for me.
oh my god thank you for what you said in your review of Matthew Perry's book. I read it at the beginning of the month, and while I devoured it, I HATED the book because of the way he sounded throughout the book. You brought up almost all of the passages that I had problems with it and shared pretty much all of my feelings about it.
Here's what I read in November Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey his memoir Christine by Stephen king The rules of magic by Alice Hoffman Murder is easy by Agatha Christie The oleander sword by tasha suri Dark rise Winterkeep by Kristin cashore Husband material by alexis hall Velvet was the night The ballad of Love and glory by reyna grande The bone orchard by Sarah Mueller Just like magic by Sarah hogle Beyond the shadow by Brent weeks Dark shadows wolf moon rising by lara parker For the throne by hannah whitten A broken blade by melissa Blair A season of second chance Once upon a December
Not Matthew dissing on Keanu!! What?! Pfft! I was looking forward to reading his book. I have it on hold through Libby. I'll still listen to it but man, kind of disappointing to hear. I just finished The Family Game last night and I thoroughly enjoyed it!! I didn't get a lot read this month but probably my favorite read was Jennette McCurdy's memoir- I'm Glad My Mom Died. She narrated the audiobook and I really enjoyed it and wish it was longer.
I also moved up my read of Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow- there were parts I absolutely loved and there were parts I absolutely hated. I ended up giving it 3 stars too - so conflicted on my thoughts about it.
I heard Matthew Perry said something about Keaneu and I was like ohhhh no why did you pick the actor that does Jesus like charitable acts, shots fired lol. Thank you so much for talking about that book because I’m glad I can keep chandler in my mind as he is lol! I still need to watch that it starts with us vlog I’m so excited for it!!!! I loved the book. Same thoughts on tomorrow x3, literal twins on that
Ooooh which Taylor swift concert did you get tickets to? I got a nosebleed seat to one of the Nashville shows. Also - I hope the wisdom teeth surgery went well! Im hoping your recovery is quick from the surgery.
Regarding Matthew Perry’s memoir: as a member of the ostomy community, this memoir was extremely upsetting as Perry attempted to singlehandledly undo years of awareness & fighting the stigma against ostomies. Perry uses his colostomy surgery as a scare tactic against addiction, going so far as to say that some ostomates commit suicide because they “can’t handle it.” He also claims that he “woke up in his own feces 60+ times” in his 6 mons with a colostomy, & I can honestly tell you that there is no fucking way. That has not happened to me in my 23 years with one, period. After hearing your review, I am even more disgusted with him as a person & will now have a hard time rewatching friends
I wasn't sure about You're Invited but now you make me want to check it out. And sorry the Matthew Perry book was such a disappointment. As someone who walked away from an acting career I can sadly say that narcissism is a big part of the entertainment industry and something I do not miss. That's still crazy to hear that he said those things about Keanu Reeves. Wow! Hope your wisdom tooth surgery went well and that you're doing well! Happy holidays! 🖤☃️❄☕
It still makes me so happy to see you loving Sweat & Soap! I'm gonna send you "Given" for Xmas so you can palette cleanse Anti-Romance lol. It's gonna be a gamble, I feel like you'll really love one of the couples but hate other couples in it. Also, Gaby you gotta give the Spy x Family anime a shot. I swear to you, you will absolutely adore it.
I listened to Matthew Perry talk about his book, and he just came off has egotistical. You must read Finding Me by Viola Davis, Absolutely breathtaking.
I have never been a fan of Matthew perry but his comments on Keanu reeves basically sealed my distaste for him and then to hear how he talked about women...yeah, no thanks. But I totally put Stay Awake on hold at my library now.
White Horse …..I’m still reading this. I get the do we need to mention the bud lights and smoking constantly. I’m very curious about this portion because as a Native American…..at least I want to portray people like me in positive vibes . Not as the typical drunk Indian. Second issue I have with this book is the author’s inspiration. I think it’s going down a road that I’m uncomfortable with. I have to continue reading to see if that’s where she the author found her story.
I totally get the three star rating for Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow. I was a little disappointed and a little bored at times. Felt my mind wandering while reading. So sad because she is one of my favorite authors otherwise. Unfortunately not my fav from her.
I feel like a ton of the spicy romances tend to have so many sex scenes. It’s like they want to make it longer but don’t have plot ideas to extend it and just add sex scenes. It is so repetitive and boring.
I wanted to read Matthew Perry's book but heard the not great things in the news and decided not to read it. Chandler is my favorite character on Friends.
Uggghhhh...I took Mistakes Were Made off my TBR after this. I too am not a prude! However, too many sex scenes in books just bores me. I've DNF'd several because of that. That's too bad! But oh well. I'm glad I know that before buying it.
MP apologized for the Keanu comments only *after* it blew up and people flipped tf out. I don’t like MP and I won’t be reading his book. He literally said he won’t date a woman who isn’t rich. Like sorry honey, they don’t want you. They have taste. Never did like him.
DO NOT COME FOR KEANU, EVER. It's so weird to me that he would say things like that. I mean, maybe if he'd said "why is trump still here" I could be like, yeah same. But you're gonna pick one of the kindest, nicest, cinnamon rolls we've ever seen? Nuh-uh.
I wanted to read Matthew Perry's book but heard the not great things in the news and decided not to read it. Chandler is my favorite character on Friends. I hope you are doing well from your surgery
I love your stuff. But ahhh your review for Matthew Perrys book makes me sad. I read his book this month and as a major Friends fan, Id say it was my most anticipated read of the year. I anticipated the dark conversation and for someone who most of his adult life has been numbing himself from these very thoughts, I appreciated the honestly. I loved this book. I think some of the stuff that he said that comes across in a bad way is him trying to be transparent, maybe too transparent. I do really wish there was more conversation about Friends. I listened to this on audio so I think I missed some of the comments referenced here but overall, worth the read. Much love as always! This is why the book community is great! 💕
I agree that Matthew Perry should have never mentioned Keanu Reeves. I love Keanu. However unless people go through addiction since the beginning of age 14 and feeling like he never belong to either side of the family, you never know what it is like. Addiction takes over everything in your life. Addiction is the only thing you live for so relationships doesn’t mean anything only how he gets his next high. It is about yourself. People need to understand this illness.
i see you using "casually cruel" and "emotionally abusive" in the same sentence!! a true Swiftie :)
🫡
"They read like Instagram captions," had me on the floor. 😆
We love sassy Gabby.
I totally agree about Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow. I think the plot is really unique and the characters are interesting, but the story plateaus early on. It feels overly long and yes, the time period really didn’t seem like the 90s/early 2000s. It felt modern.
If you like thrillers where memory is involved, Before I Go To Sleep is an older popular thriller but it's really good and I loved it.
I’m sorry but your commentary of “Your Storybook Heart” was absolutely hilarious 😂
As someone who lives in Denver, reading White Horse was so fun because she name drops so many Denver places!!! Also, the White Horse is a real bar on Alameda! Not sure if it's still in business or not, it's a very gentrified area
Omg the family game sounds like the movies/ books you're invited and ready or not lol also I died at your, "we call this poetry?" comment 😂 🤣 😅 😆
not "embrace the unicorn" LMAOOOOOOO what in the 2012
Literally like what 😅
I'm so excited for your December content aaaaaaah
Hey thanks for the video. Always looking forward to seeing you on UA-cam. I’ve read 6 books and the best out of the 6 was Look Closer by David Ellis. That was one page turner for me.
And i felt the same towards You’re Invited as well. It was quite ok in the beginning but towards the 3/4 of the book, the story started to pick my interest.
Your reaction to the poetry was so funny lol
100% agree with your comments on Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow! (Except I loved the video game talk and still felt that after Part 5, it started going downhill.) I really liked how the structure followed certain video game tropes too...and would still recommend to most readers, but there were definitely parts I hated.

I freaking love your energy! The poetry reading was 🔥! ❤❤❤
I picked up Cosmic Love bc of one of your other videos and I also agreed that the parental drama story line overshadowed the romance
My favorite reads in November

Christine by Stephen king I really enjoyed it reading the book definitely one of kings best books

Love blood on the tracks I’m all caught up and ready for thr rest to be released.
I had my gall bladder taken out in the summer so I definitely feel you about the surgery anxiety! I watched way too much greys anatomy growing up 😅
I also moved up my read of Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow- there were parts I absolutely loved and there were parts I absolutely hated. I ended up giving it 3 stars too - so conflicted on my thoughts about it.
I was sick this month too, I feel better now but November absolutely sucked for me 😭
Get well soon.
You have to read Look Closer by David Ellis! Super twisty and so good!
Listening to The Family Game now. At the Krampus game. 👀
Hope your surgery went ok and you are on the mend ❤️
I heard Matthew Perry said something about Keaneu and I was like ohhhh no why did you pick the actor that does Jesus like charitable acts, shots fired lol. Thank you so much for talking about that book because I’m glad I can keep chandler in my mind as he is lol!
I still need to watch that it starts with us vlog I’m so excited for it!!!! I loved the book.
Same thoughts on tomorrow x3, literal twins on that
I struggled with tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow it was a huge book and it just dragged on.
Your surgery is going to go flawlessly, and you will heal quickly and painlessly ❤
Ooooh which Taylor swift concert did you get tickets to? I got a nosebleed seat to one of the Nashville shows. Also - I hope the wisdom teeth surgery went well! Im hoping your recovery is quick from the surgery.
I got tickets for Seattle! 🥰
Wait, I thought you would read Sign Here in November..? I really wanted your thoughts on the book.

I am glad I haven’t read his memoir. I am surprised the Publishing house didn’t pick up on this and the comments made against Keanu Reeves.
Wow!

I hope you read the escape room. Also the storied life of AJ fikry. Maybe you'll like that more than Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow.
It still makes me so happy to see you loving Sweat & Soap! I'm gonna send you "Given" for Xmas so you can palette cleanse Anti-Romance lol. Ahhhh thanks Kari!!! And yes I plan to watch Spy x Family soon, I’m almost caught up on the manga!
gabby I'm praying for your recovery 🙏
Amanda loveless is a hit or miss for me.

When I had my wisdom teeth I also had surgery on my ankle like a week later so boom boom

damn 18 is a great number, congrats!
I don't think I'd be reading the Matthew memoir

THE BTS ALBUM!!!!!!!
I wanted to read Matthew Perry's book but heard the not great things in the news and decided not to read it. Chandler is my favorite character on Friends.
29:16 I mean hey It could be worse, you could’ve read Gabby Hanna’s poetry..that shit sucked 😂
Uggghhhh...I took Mistakes Were Made off my TBR after this. I too am not a prude! However, too many sex scenes in books just bores me. I've DNF'd several because of that. That's too bad! But oh well. I'm glad I know that before buying it.
I thought Tx3 was sci-fi for some reason.
I didn’t enjoy did you take this man either and I had high hopes and ended up DNFing it
Yay second comment and top 6 liked
MP apologized for the Keanu comments only *after* it blew up and people flipped tf out. I don’t like MP and I won’t be reading his book. He literally said he won’t date a woman who isn’t rich. Like sorry honey, they don’t want you. They have taste. Never did like him.

I had to stop cosmic kind of love because of the male audiobook narrator. He was AWFUL!
He really was 😂
Re: Sweat and Soap. A girl I dated had nasty halitosis yet it was hard to stop kissing her. Go figure.
I am so jealous you got TS tickets… 🥲
