Hello! I'm almost 100% sure someone else has commented this by now, but I'd like to say it for the future.
Leo's are unfortunately red light sensitive as well as regular light and would do very well with a ceramic heat emitter! It'll give them added heat, but no light.

Crested gecko keeper tip: finicky eaters whether it be leopard, crested, gargoyle, day, whatever kind of geckos. Cut a mealworm/waxworm or superworm or hornworm (something with alot of guts and juicy stuff) cut it in half, and use tongs to put a drop of the insides on their nose. They'll eventually lick it off, slowly as soon as they lick it off SLOWLY put it on their nose so they keep licking it and lightly push it onto their tounge' s lick and they will lightly open their mouth and lick the half insect into the side of their mouth and once it's in 9 times out of 10 they will eat them. It's a great way for them to naturally get nutrition without having to force insects down their mouth and it gives them a taste for it so they can eventually hunt for themselves.

The red light can hurt the leopard geckos eyes, CHE or ceramic heat emitters are better options because they produce no light and only heat. Love the video!! :)

Your tetra/pleco tank may also look cool with a school of corydora! They're also a South American fish like all the ones currently in the tank, and they're a blast to watch when in a large enough group (seeing the size of the tank, 10+ would be amazing!). There are tons of types ranging in quality, difficulty, and price. Pick your choosing if you're interested!
I got rabbits that have been living and breeding in my yard for yrs now. They have made a permanent burrow under my shed. We leave out vegetables scraps always. It's really awesome to see them acting out naturally. They are used to my 10 lbs dorkie ( dashound/Yorkie mix) and us humans. On hot humid Ontario nights in the summer, they lay in the cool grass. I have got pics of them laying all in the grass, even got picks of them laying in the grass with my daughter's just feet away. It's awesome.
For anyone asking about arlo, I think he fell sick with a similar illness as her other goldfish because she had unknowingly used same equipment for water changes or something along those lines? I think I remember her saying that she thought arlo might get sick bc or cross contamination like that. I don’t know for sure, of course, but I’m guessing arlo fell ill and is gone. Otherwise he’d have been featured in this video.

I've watched nearly all of your videos, and you inspired me me get into the fish keeping hobby. because of you, i am the proud mama of 2 baby redcap orandas, and 2 red orandas -- fish keeping is life! i wouldn't have been able to to do it so quickly without your help. thanks, Jennie!
Hey! So I saw how you were force feeding your gecko! I would reccomend making the paste a tad bit thicker and plotting it on her nose. She naturally will lick it off of her nose. Its a lot less stressful on them then forcing the syring in her mouth. When forcing it in her mouth, it can cause stress as well as her being less likely to eat on her own in the future. Im sorry to hear about your gecko! I have 4 of my own!

I'm so glad you have the leopard geckos separated now! (Leopard gecko breeder here). Have you tried switching her to a smaller enclosure? Sometimes when a gecko goes totally off food it's due to insecurity. With a tank, particularly one with so few hides, there's a good chance that insecure feeling isn't helping. I prefer force feeding Repashy Grub Pie. It's much more natural for them than Carnivore Care. Do you keep food in their cage at all times? I'd get a bowl of mealworms/superworms in there in case she feels inclined to eat at any point. Being a standard albino doesn't mean she will be less healthy unless she came from an extremely inbred line/unethical breeder.
I have a leopard gecko named Autumn
I would suggest leaving her lamp off, it may be an added stress factor as albino morphs are very sensitive to light. Other than that I would suggest getting a parasite check from your vet. That can be a major issue that will lead to organ failure. Leopard geckos aren’t often finicky, yet one little factor changes and they begin to thrive again. Best wishes to them.
I love all of your pets. I'm in a position where I can't have pets right now. So watching you and your animal family makes my day better. I'm a country girl who's had lots of pets my whole life. I feel empty without them.

Silvia is such a cutie😍 I have a leopard gecko named Rita, she stopped eating for a while so I brought her to the vet (she had a gut impaction) and I had to force feed her for a while, I know hard force feeding something you love is.😭😭😭

I live in the UK and the beast from the east is major where I live. My birthday is on march 4th, and I had huge plans but I had to cancel because of the snow. I watched your videos and they really cheered me up.

Last Wednesday at school we did a project where we made a plastic bottle into a goldfish home! It was a two liter soda bottle! We got to bring our fish home yesterday! Our teacher told us we could potentially keep the gold fish for about a year in that plastic bottle but I didn’t believe her because if I’m not mistaken they grow to be pretty big! I have a question for some of you goldfish experts! I moved my goldfish into a 40 gallon tank that houses 1 parrot fish, 3 tiny plecos, and about 5 cloud minnows. So I put my goldfish in there and I would like to know if that is an overcrowded tank and if there will be any fighting?

Anubias would look amazing in that tank! I tied some anubias nana to a big chuck of driftwood a few years back and it's completely taking over the log by now. Not only by the leaves and the rhizome, but also some smaller roots that climb the wood, trying to get to the bottom! Planted tanks do not take that much more work once they reach a good balance, I only prune them like once a month, otherwise just weekly water changes. In addition to anubias, I also have sword plants, taiwan lily and melon plant in there and the most time-consuming one is the lily, because it just grows so fast!

Couple months ago, they started having a bunch of complications and were not eating anything. She thinks they may have been sick from the start since they only ate blood worms, then didn’t eat anything. Really sad :( I had to search through a lot of videos and Facebook to find out what happened

Arlo sadly died some time last year. Bettas don't usually live longer than 3-5 years, so it seems a little soon considering most of Jenny's pets live at least 10 years, but it's just the way it is.

Great video, Jen! When it comes to heating and lighting leopard geckos, there are a lot of myths that are still more common than the truth. The biggest is that they do not like bright lights: whilst albinos etc. may be irritated by certain lighting, provided that the light source comes from directly above and there are adequate areas of shade, white lighting is no issue whatsoever. In fact, UVB lighting is highly beneficial and to be recommended in all cases, provided it’s used appropriately. The second myth here is that leopard geckos rely upon so-called “belly heat”. Whilst they do take in thermal energy from adjacent objects, this cannot be viewed as a sole heat source and had ought to be coupled with some form of “air heating”, such as a ceramic heat emitter. That’s probably why you noticed a difference when you added the heat bulb to Silvia’s terrarium. Anyway, I hope that Lucy gets better!

Hey, Love your videos and all your pets! Just a suggestion, maybe try bringing Lucy back into the house and see if that helps her. Maybe it’s something in the air in the new fish room, or maybe the pollen from outside. I’m from Savannah and the pollen is awful this year. Also, I can relate to what you are going through with your depression and anxiety. These things can and will get better. It’s never as bad as we feel it is. Keep up the awesome and inspirational work! I hope Lucy gets better soon.

I don't mean to scare you about the leopard gecko, but last year at my school we had a leopard gecko and it was suffering from the similar thing that yours was so we took it to the vet and they told us how to get it to eat and all that stuff. We followed all of their directions for several weeks but it eventually died. The vet tested it and found three types of bacteria that weren't curible. I suggest getting her tested to see if she has some sort of illness. Also all your pets are adorable loved the video!

"Flourite" substrate would look great in that tank, and is made for plants, you would be able to grow lots of good low light plants with that. And also GET MORE DISCUS.

to any leo owners or breeders, I am getting my first one soon and the only issue i am having is choosing a substrate. I was leaning towards reptile mats/grass type things but then I was told those were bad (feet getting stuck) and to use cocnut fibers instead but I am really worried about impaction. What are your opinions??

I've worked with rehabbing and medicating leopard geckos off and on for a few years, and I think you're doing really well with Lucy's care. I agree with the vet that morphs are usually super delicate. When those lizards decide to crash they're almost impossible to turn around. If it were me, I would just keep her temps solid (especially the cool side), follow the vet's instructions, and know that everything that can be done is being done. Best of luck!(Side note: I've seen zero difference in behavior from geckos w a red light verses a CHE. Their eyesight is terrible anyway ajd they have hides to avoid the light, so that is not the issue here.)
I recommend a heat mat as the main heat source. It’s better for them and cheaper.
I Cross my fingers for Lucy, hope she gets better. Even if there isn't much hope, never give up.

if your baby pleco is not growing well you can feed them zucchini, cucumber, kale AND spinach they love it!!! especially cucumbers! they can help with growing and they are REALLY good for them! I love your channel! (and your pets) :) :) :)
