Thank you dude! I did my first attempt yesterday with my Mustangs mirrors. After watching this I see a couple of places I went wrong wrapping my mirror! back to the drawing board!!! I appreciate the videos, man! Thank you.
Mirrors are kinda weird to wrap but ain’t the hardest thing. I wrapped my friends Mazdaspeed 3 in two weeks and I took my time on it and it’s the best iv’e ever done. It looks so perfect
Question : Can you truly wrap a classic old vintage car in silver or gold mirror vinyl with no problems at all on camera ? What is the bad side effect of having a vinyl wrap on the car in the bright hot sunlight for long term conditions ?
Don't you find it easier to do the inside at the glass first then heat and wrap around the edge with the majority of the wrap to smooth out all those wrinkles better? That way you have no bunched wrinkled wrap inside the mirror. It all would get smoothed out as you take it up and over the outside of the mirror ya? Before I found out I did my mirrors totally wrong, thanks to watching one of your other videos, I had wrapped all the way over into and behind the glass like you had to with this one. I messed up in a number of places but did seem to find it easier to start in the hollow at the glass. It looks beautiful as all your work does. But its curious to me why this is the ideal way to do this. I mean no tension no stretch. Just start the wrap flat at the furthest part of the hollow part behind the glass (that's been removed) and lay it all flat with no tension. Once to the end of the hollow its time to heat and wrap around the edge and over the outter casing of the mirror id think. I know im wrong as that's not how you did it and you are pro and im just a joe. But still makes me wonder why you went this way with it is all.
Hey hey captain I have been failing maybe for the 5th time for my alfa romeo 156 difficult but I will keep trying the bottom is hard and I am even thinking of removing the mirror totally to ease it up 😂 😂 😂 😂 I appreciate you
I am glad you talked about the mirror base. For the base, did you disconnect the mirror base from the car? How did you create the seam on the backside of the mirror base? Did you use knifeless tape to get a straight stem line without cutting the paint? I want to wrap the base and mirrors on a C6 Corvette, It also has a rounded mirror with no trim strips on or around the mirror housing.
I start the piece of film on the inside adjacent to the window. Then I wrap around until I overlap where I started. Then freehand cut on top of the first layer of film
Thanks for your reply. This video addresses one of the hardest kinds of wraps, that being a bullet shaped mirror. I noticed, you did not pre-stretch the piece of vinyl. Is it harder to do a bullet shaped mirror if you don't pre-stretch? I've never done this kind of thing. I am studying this video in order to try my hand at wrapping the mirrors on my C6 Corvette.
...definitely need some classes/lessons/training I'm a graphic designer ...recently contracted a vehicle vinyl #commercial i was horrified😢 #any advice? whish i could upload here
Awesome video, I struggled with a mirror the other day and needed to watch some mirror wrap videos to vent. I'm glad you were persistent and smart with your in-lays. What's with the atm and captain america shield in the back ground? haha! Thanks CK!
Great job brah...good work with the videos too...very informational....but ahhhh one question man...I was just wondering as I was watching this video...what happens if I get my car fully wrapped and then get in a accident 2 weeks later...does the insurance cover for wrap or are they gonna peel all the wrap off and then repaint the car its original color?...iono man...👉💪👏👏👏🤜🤛🤝🤙🤘✌
man very amazing work, but you really wearing a ring and a watch? you really going to tell me you've never gotten a car with one of those? on the same day? lol I mean a zipper hoody is bad. but watch and ring, bad bad.
Nice job i had to do these mirrors on a red challenger using green matte 3m vinyl.. Did it very nicely in 2 pieces straight seems wrapped inside behind the mirror and my customer still believed the mirror could be done in one whole piece.. I presumed to redo the mirror in one piece just to prove the point that the material will not hold and will pull back, so did it again in 2 pieces and still didnt get a thanks.. at the end of the day its a sticker not a paint job n the price i charged was very very fair. As for the rest of the vehicle, no red showed anywhere
Deadman Arcade roof wrap on coupe/sedan should cost 200-250 for basic colors such as gloss black. Some shops do charge upwards of 350-400+ for the same process, materials, etc..

how much total feet of wrap would you recommend for wrapping a complete challenger?
It ain't as easy as it looks. It's definitely an artform. Very cool. Practice practice

What's the approximate cost to get a pair of these same dodge challenger mirrors wrapped on the car?
Freakin boss! You make it look so easy! Also bad ass u got your own ATM lmao

How do you do the piece inside the mirror?
I don't wrap but I honestly feel more knowledgeable and better in general even though I've never laid any film from just watching these videos
...definitely need some classes/lessons/training I'm a graphic designer ...recently contracted a vehicle vinyl #commercial i was horrified😢 #any advice? whish i could upload here
I think it is very funny that you actually have an ATM in your shop. You better get paid.
This is so brilliant! Should get a kick-back from the owner on their fees, plus you get your clients to pay you in cash. Love it!
Also 21:50 , Baymax saying hi in the back left
I did this on my car and like hours after the vinyl was comming off at the edges why is that? Should i buy better vinyl
Over stretching causes fingers and lifting
What temp are you using on your heat gun, I have the smae gun and have been using 120 low and 200 high.

There's a section for mods on your insurance policy. Just add it on and it'll be covered.
@@peej.w7598 ...ok cool...that's brah
