    I watched Berrettini vs Ruud last year, Ruud was hitting his backhand most of the time and Berrettini looked like someone who should play challengers.

    4:21 the most under-used yet surprisingly effective weapon in tennis imo

      Agree, but it has to be combined with a good drop shot, so you need to be able to pull off two great shots so as to win the rally with it.

      Completely agree. Some guys never use it (Rublev comes to mind). Especially hitting a lob on the opponent's backhand side - if the lob is hit well, even if it doesn't end up being a winner, the opponent will be forced to play the ball defensively, or have a go at the backhand smash which is a high risk shot.

      Didn't use his left hand for control or power, was just there because he was hold racket with 2 hands at the time but he let go into 1 hand for the shot.

    Tennis is a very nice game! Stress relieving! When I hit the ball and when I try to tell an advice to friends who ask me is to hit the ball as hard as you can or destroy it and Enjoy doing it! Feel the ball exploding on your racket! And of course make sure its in!

    Just let carlos speak in spanish if you're going to ask technique questions 😭😭
    I would rather read the spanish translation and hopefully get more insight into the technique because he can use a much wider vocabulary and string concepts togethor more effortlessly

    I've never seen anyone hit a more consistent and effective drop shot than alcaraz, some say federer but I think in a few years everyone will say alcaraz.

      His dropshot is ugly. Movement is not fluent and pretty broken. One or two seasons and almost all players from top 20 would read the shoulder below sky at the beginning.

    Tsitsipas won't win a GS coz he is standing so far behind d baseline when returning or rallying, esp bcoz he is using a single handed BH

      Despite this, he is also one of the best from his generation at finding opportunities to come forward to net on his own terms. I think Alcaraz gets him with drop shots not because tsitsipas stays too far back, but just because tsitsipas is mentally a little slow to react to surprises.
