Hi Everyone! Today I am doing a house overview and ranking of my House of Sillage fragrances! I'll show you all six of my cupcakes and also give my thoughts on the brand as a whole and wether or not these fragrances are worth the money. Have you tried any fragrances from House of Sillage? I never tried these fragrances but I do trust your nose and from the looks of it , I don’t think that they are worth the price but then again, the packaging is gorgeous ❤️ so I understand why so much people love this house. Great Video
Yes, it's definitely the packaging that ups the cost so much. If you put most of them in more standard bottles I'd imagine they would be more around the $100-$125 price point.

I told my husband that I was worth the price.👑
But I only want one for my collection because I love to travel and I would rather travel and do other things than spend that type of money on fragrances... so I just had to decide which cupcake I wanted.
Hi! From Facebook! Catching up on your vids since I'm a new subbie. Love HOS! I have owned 4 cupcakes, currently I only have 3. I sold Cherry Garden. I do have 2 from Whispers in the Garden (Whispers of Guidance and Whispers of Truth) and I have WW84. I get raspberries in the opening. It lasts about 20 minutes. Then I get heavy vanilla, tolu and almond. It is gorgeous! I love it and had to have it bc I love Wonder Woman (OG Lynda Carter and Gal Gadot) and I was born in 1984 LOL. I love my Guidance and Truth as well.
I think they are worth it for the most part. The french glass, the Swarovski crystals... it's luxury through and through. I definitely wish it was cheaper... well my husband wishes 😩🤣
I just pulled the trigger and bought one of each of the holiday mystery boxes - so I’m very excited to FINALLY try this brand. ❤️
Clicked so fast my thumb got whiplash! 😂 so happy to see a House of Sillage review. I doubt I'll ever own a bottle, their too expensive for me to blind buy and samples just aren't available in UK. But how lovely for us viewers to enjoy seeing all of your cupcakes (sorry that's not a euphemism😳😂). The Wonder Woman edition is probably the closet I've come to wanting to blind buy a cupcake, but decided to be good and resist it. Thanks for a Lovely video Tara! Xxx

House of Sillage does sell sample sizes of some of their fragrances. If you are interested, they are under Womens/Travel/Discovery Sets on the website.
Mickey and Whispers of Admiration I could inhale all day 🥰 Wish they’d make Mickey in travel size as I don’t like the cupcake and really just want the fragrance!

It certainly seems like using vanilla in every fragrance would definitely go with the cupcake theme. I typically don’t look at packing when considering a fragrance. That is of course until I saw the upcoming Kilian whiskey glass release 😬😬🤣

Yeah, sometimes my brain doesn't work and is unable to make seemingly obvious connections...LOL! Geez. What a dummy! Kilian definitely knows how to market as well. I am definitely influenced by packaging. I'm a raccoon. I like sparkly things.
From your descriptions, I’m not sure they would be for me other than the Wonder Woman. They are all so beautiful. I agree that smelling MYSELF is the best part perfume!!! 😊

Interestingly enough Wonder Woman is toted as being limited edition with only 400 bottles but there is no serial number and it’s also being sold online at Bloomingdales. I have already prepared myself to be pissed when or if it goes on sale lol.
I was thinking the same thing, CC! I will be pretty upset, but it does seem like they're selling more than 400 bottles!

Funny because the only HOS I have is Benevolence. Thanks for reviewing all of these. I’ve wanted to try Hauts Bijoux for a long time but I have Xerjoff’s Cruz del Sur II and don’t think I would need another mango fragrance. No, I take that back because I do want Vilhelm Mango Skin. Lol
I just recently tried Mango Skin and it is so good! I also am not sure I need another, though. Lol!!!
Unfortunately my first purchase was a blind buy (Chevaux D'or, Tiara, Holiday and Emerald Reign) from them and I was totally underwhelmed. I had high hopes for projection from a perfume house that calls itself "House of Sillage". I wish I would've purchased a discovery set first to really figure out what I liked. I really can't seem to get behind Chevaux D'or or Emerald Reign and Tiara and Holiday are just ok, nowhere near worthy of the price tags. I would agree with some who say these require several wears to appreciate their complexities. I did order the discovery scents and I have found some that I really enjoy and have now purchased. Hautes Bijoux, Passion de L'Amour, Whispers of Truth, Cherry Garden and Benevolence. Besides Tiara, Whispers of Truth and Holiday, the others that I like are on the dry down. I've never sold the perfumes I didn't like (not even the really expensive mistakes), I just keep them until someone visits me and likes it, then I just give it to them. But, I dislike those so much that I know I'm not going to wear them so I'm considering it.
I think I blind bought all of these! Probably why I only have 2 of them still. LOL! I ended up selling the others as I just never reached for them.

WW84 looks like a colourful iris and pupil from above. I am fascinated by this house, think I am sucked in by their packaging, it says, "pick me up, TRY ME!". Guess Harrods or Selfridges would be the only places that might carry these in the UK so I will likely never smell them in person, just through UA-cam!
LOL, I didn't think about that, but you're right! Yeah, they're mostly just online here, though I do think some fancy department stores like Neiman Marcus carry them, but the closest one of those is a few hours drive from me. Thanks for watching, Claire!
Tiara is my favorite fragrance. It all depends on our body chemistry. I do not like Wonder Woman at all. Great video! I love hearing House of Silliage perfumes. I LOVE the Wonder Woman lipstick case and I am so glad I bought it. I love Cherry Garden, Emerald Reign and Chevaux d'Or after my Tiara!

Enjoyed your video! WW84, Benevolence and Love Don't Be Shy all smell somewhat similar to each other. I think at some point I will purchase WW84. I have Passion de L'amour which is my favorite and I also have Hauts Bijoux which is another favorite of mine.

I agree that Wonder Woman reminds me of the Killian even also like What we Did in Paris is Secret, not the same but similar tone.
My favorites are Passion de LAmour, Love is in the Air, and Whispers of Enlightenment.
I bought Wonder Woman, but I don’t feel it is a perfume Wonder Woman would wear! Lol. It does remind me of Christmas incense my mom used to burn as a kid. I have to be in the mood for it.
Overall they are beautiful packaging, great customer service, but the performance of all of the perfumes either hit or miss depending on the fragrance.
Haute bijou smells like mugler Angel croisiere the mango scented one to me. Meloria smells like sun ripen raspberry from bath and body works 😬

Thank you! Yes, I agree about the performance. Also, I do get the similarity between Hauts Bijoux and Angel Eau Croisiere. Also, although I love the fragrance, I definitely don't think it matches the Wonder Woman theme.
I've been keen to explore the House of Sillage, their packing is absolutely gorgeous but I am not sure which one to buy first. Wonder Woman 84 sounds amazing and Passion de L'Amour. Thank you for giving such a detailed explanation really helpful ❤️

This was a great review. Some other reviewers seem so caught up in the packaging and the presentation, which you must be honest, are extremely classy and thoughtful, that it seems to inform their opinions of the scents. I love beautiful packaging, but unless it's refillable, once it's done and I have to replace it, it just becomes clutter to keep. I have some perfume in very understated packaging whose scents are a revelation. Though I really like Whispers of Truth, I find that it smells a lot like BR540, it's not a 100% dupe, but a person who owns BR540 might find it redundant. (I have both lol). I actually think Pasion de L'Amour is oud heavy, not a stinky oud, but certainly a prominent note. In fact, oud is one of the base notes but I find that I smell it relatively quickly after spraying, which admittedly, I really didn't like. The dry down is beautiful though and really different from other scents I own. Of all, I find that it performs the best. (I bought Tiara in December and have a different bottle from yours).
I totally agree about the packaging. It's gorgeous, but also not refillable to ends up being clutter at the end like most other bottles. Thanks so much, Johanne!

Olfactofiles Fragrance Reviews yes! It’s so lovely. Initially I chose the signature travel collection so that I could have all of them to use with those pretty arabesque automizers and to save some money lol. But after wearing passion I realized I needed a full bottle. I didn’t pay attention to love is in the air until I got hooked by the packaging and realized I wanted a few more bottles. It’s very sweet and candy like at first spray but it becomes so elegant and lovely as it dries down. It became my number one until I received my ww84 sample 🤦🏾♀️ lol they sure know how to get you!

I just got the Whisper of true.... this is my third cupcake.... I do like 4-5 spays on me... smelling it for an hour, then I don’t feel like I wearing any fragrance.. for that reason I didn’t like the Bacarrat Rogh from MFK
That's a bummer! BR540 lasts all day on me, but I know there is something in it that causes some people to go nose blind to it. Wonder if the same is true for Whispers of Truth.
The Wonder Woman is puffy cloudy marshmallows, it is not unique but I do like it. Projection is not insane but lasting power is good; however, close to 400 dollars makes me really evaluate the purchase. I have been undecided even with the new re-release. Yes, not bold and very comforting.

Hi! I have Chevaux D'Or....there is not a raspberry presence in this one......only strawberry. Layer it with Passion de' L'Amour...wonderful combination. :) No vanilla in Hauts Bijoux.

Yes, I'd be salty too if they put this on sale. I stayed up all night and was done ordering in 5 minutes. But I doubt they'll keep this packaging, which TOTALLY influenced my decision to try House of Sillage. But what do I know, lol. I have the Discovery Set on the way along with Tiara and Chevaux D'or, lol. I got up and sprayed my Wonder Woman 84 on just to experience it as you described it, lol. Great review.
Oh man, yes we will be an angry crew indeed if they make this permanent. LOL! The packaging definitely influenced me, so they better change it if they decide to keep the fragrance. Thanks so much!

Mmm lightly toasted marshhhhhmallows 🤤 Is that the one that you picked up because of Hillorie? 🤭 Personally I'm not one for packaging, as long as the bottle is ergonomic and the atomizer kicks butt. Sprays butt. One or the other. Here's to cupcakes and controlled portion sizes - the relatively guilt-free way of enjoying cake! 🧁

Oooooh, yes to the Vitamin E oil as a base. I've use dry oils (jojoba & almond) with other fragrances but never tried it with Vitamin E oil. Thanks!!!
Great job on this review of HOS! Best one I have seen overall and I have viewed many. Packaging is secondary....juice is first. Have four of the ones you mentioned......WW84 being the lastest. Going to get Whispers of Enlightenment which can be layered with Hauts Bijoux and WW84. Love to layer these fragrances.......they all play so well together. :)

Yeah, that's true. I'm always curious about that since so many "niche" houses usually end up selling other products as well. Kilian and Bond No. 9 have lipsticks as well.

I heard such glowing reviews on House of Sillage fragrances that I ordered both of their Discovery Sets. The only sample I wanted to use a second time was Cherry Garden. It was okay but not something I would spend more money on. I am an older person and I am starting to wonder whether my skin and/or my sense of smell might be changing. It isn't like me to be so hard to please. I may try a sample of the Wonder Woman fragrance based on your review, and if I were a wealthy person I would buy all of the cupcakes anyway just to display them. They are lovely.
They are pretty but as you can see, I'm not super in love with most of them either. I do think our tastes change as we get older, though. Thanks so much for watching. The bottles definitely are gorgeous!

I’m intrigued by this house- I recently saw an old holiday bottle with a carousel and it started a full on manhunt 😂😂😂🤦🏼♀️I’ve never cared much about packaging but this house has changed that- they have packaging down to a science. Love, love, love. Soooo- now I need to figure out which to start with

Just an FYI, HOS has the Holiday Limited Ed perfume on a 50% off sale today. It's not the carousel bottle, but I believe not it has a "Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center" theme. I bought this scent and while lovely it last about 20 minutes on my skin! :(

I've been purchasing HOS mystery vaults like a mad woman over the summer! I currently have Benevolence, Hauts Bijoux, Passion de'L'amour, and Love is in the Air. I like Passion de'L'amour and Benevolence the most. I get the best performance out of these. I really like the scents of HOS, but feel their performance and sillage is lacking for they money.
