I actually have a version without it.. DIscussed it with Jeroen Tel and we decided to keep this version: it was one of the last performances from (a very drunk) Ben Daglish
Nicely done. Very pleasant to listen to. Video track makes searching throughout the recording easier because it allows to remember particular moments better. :)
I'm guessing nothing. :) I think the composer wanted to recreate the magic/feelsgood of c64 tunes, without sacrificing sound quality on the holy alter of MOS6581 purism.
I remember demos on the PC (386, 486) back then not being as impressive as this, once Pentiums came along (especially PII/PIII) Demos became more like films as in you could pretty much do anything the imagination could come up with, with the most impressive being demos done with limited hardware or memory size. As for the music I still prefer the sound of the original SID although I do like modern interpretations
It's an absolultely fantastic demo compilation, Kim! Loving every bit of it!
Jeroen you are a total legend

Super cool!!! Love hearing c64 inspired tunes. Brings me back to the 80's demo days.
The lastest image spoke to me like no other demo did before.

As far as I'm concerned, you can be "dirty and savage" as much as you want. This absolutely rocks.
Some of these demos are insane. Well done to the artist/programmer
The second day I look and listen, I can not tear myself away))

The song is called "Firing Up!" by Jeroen Tel.
Sounds G-R-E-A-T but how much of the sounds in this vid are actually from the 6581 SID Chip ? ? ?
I'm guessing nothing. :) I think the composer wanted to recreate the magic/feelsgood of c64 tunes, without sacrificing sound quality on the holy alter of MOS6581 purism.
Doesn't matter, most of the magic is created by the notes that are played.
This is actually the set from Assembly. How you made the quality so good?
Hi all, whats the track at 37m 27s please? Heard it on a few sessions, but no idea what it is
