you're so real for this, i love pinterest but it's hard not to compare every aspect of my life to someone else's. it makes me feel like everything in my life needs to be cute and aesthetic, which is not good for my mental health or my bank account lol
i think it’s all about your mindset. i love Pinterest over instagram because insta is focused on your friends lives which can make you feel left out, but Pinterest is random people. i also guess from my perspective i see Pinterest as VERY curated so it’s obviously not like these photos people take aren’t very intentional. 💕
i dont know how but i somehow got over this feeling i dont even know how- this is so real for when i used to feel this though like i used to see one picture of something thats not even my style just generally a good picture and then i want to change my entire life to that style (and later regret it because it isnt my style 😭)

I feel that way if I doom scroll on pinterest. I love to upload all my own aesthetic photos to my own Pinterest page and when i take a scroll through my own photos it reminds me that I too, am a pintetest girl ❤
I feel like this with almost every social media app. Same with instagram you want to live somewhere you see, or wish your life was like someone you see online everything is like that nowadays you just have to try to alter your mindset to be in the moment and live your life not try to live someone elses
