  • Rabies is a very rare and deadly disease - once symptoms appear, it is almost 100% deadly. The virus infects neurons eventually causing encephalitis, with typical symptoms including fever, agitation, hydrophobia, pharyngeal spasms, seizures, and coma. Sir, I have completed my intradermal Anti Rabies vaccine course in last month .....
    In between the anti rabies vaccine course, I had suffered from lot of depression and stress ( anxiety)...
    Will that depression and stress have any bad impact on immunogenicity of vaccines?

    • @gmeena1
      @gmeena1 4 роки тому

      Why intradermal?? Its given intramuscular in normal cases. And stress dont affect the immunity.

    Can rabies get transfer if sick animal saliva gets to person face. Like for example dog lick people face.

    • @upscaleavenue
      @upscaleavenue 4 роки тому +1

      If an infected animal licks your face, it's very likely that you will be infected.

      @@upscaleavenue thanks for clearing that for me. This explains that there is other ways than bite to get rabies. Thanks again

    • @upscaleavenue
      @upscaleavenue 4 роки тому +1

      @@lotuslotus718 No problem. The virus is transmitted via infected saliva, so it would be very likely to get into any of the orifices on your face if you were licked. It doesn't necessarily have to be a bite.

    There was water in a bucket. The dog ate the water for a while and then it was cooked with the water. Is there a possibility of getting rabies after eating the cooked food?

      Why are you using your dog's water bowl to cook with? Get another pan to cook with. You are potentially harming yourself

    Why do you observe the dog if they bite you? Will the virus be activated in the dogs saliva when they bite you? Hahaha I don't get it.

    • @jacobg8640
      @jacobg8640 3 роки тому +2

      The dog will be dead or dying within a week if it was rabid when it bit you. If it's still healthy then your chances of developing rabies is zero because it didn't have the virus. If it dies, that means it was likely rabid and the virus might be in you. This way you can know if you need treatment or not without symptoms by which time it is too late.
