Vitali Klitschko was one of the greatest - almost impossible to hit. Sad about the cut against Lennox Lewis. And both the Klitschkos are great sportsmen - and gentlemen!
Everybody pointing out how slow and awkward Vitali is. In this telecast they call Herbie Hide the quickest heavyweight since Muhammad Ali and yet Vitali had no problems hitting him, maybe not with an accuracy of 60% but still with good accuracy, and Vitali was even able to dodge Hide's sometimes and uses footwork to get away from them.
George Foreman Well yeah, Golota would've won if he hadn't been such a freaking head case. Anyway, my point wasn't that Vitali is special (though I think he was damned good) but that his fights weren't boring. Especially when he was younger, he went right at folks. Had a ton of KO's. Vlad, now that's another story.
+halleck3 Oh Vitali was indeed special. he had better record than many of those who are considered great. His resume would have been better if he didnt let Wladimir have most of the biggest names, when both of them were champions.
halleck3 people always lump vitali in with wlad. Vitali was always had a vicious streak...lead became over cautious after his KO losses. He was much better technically than vitali and he used it to his advantage knowing he couldn't take a punch.
Michael Jonas True, and it shows they haven't watched enough fights... VK and WK have completely different styles. But some folks act as though they're the same guy.
Hard to believe the bookmakers had Hide the favorite to win. Guess they had forgot when he fought Bowe he was being staggered by jabs and had went to the canvas 7 times over 6 rounds.
cartert2 and bowe was arguably the hardest hitting heavyweight. More than 17St and herbie hide had bowe out on his feet. Go search for bowe stating who had hit him hardest punch
It almost seems funny now watching this fight and herbie hide being favourite to win! ..just look at hides eyes on the 2nd knock down to see that was no dive ...they dont call him 'iron fist' for nowt y'know!
very under rated and mis managed fighter hide. He could have been something really special if he had have applied himself properly and spent his career at cruiserweight.
The same thing as with Bowe, Hide was a total nervous wreck when facing strong opponents. That +giving away that much reach to a strong defensive guy...
***** Sorry I meant beginning of round 2. Vitali hurt Hide and I think he didn't want anymore of it so he got the hell out of there and took his check. Hide did win round 1 but he didn't do that much. Vitali was able to get out of the way of most his big shots. I don't get why you would bring up Holmes or Ali vs Vitali. Hide fights nothing like either one of those guys. I don't know, maybe..we will never know.
Herbie had balls of steel, probably too small for a heavyweight but he never bottled it. And he could hit, Bowe said he was the hardest puncher he ever faced.
Hide had a glass jaw. As soon as he got hit he went down and if he got hit by a big hitter he stayed down. Bruno was a big hitter and Hide wasn't big enough to hurt him. Bruno wins, KO 5
Crap commentary. Both of them spent nearly the entire first round speculating on Hide's future opponents, comments on past opposition, and what his tactics should be for this fight, rather than the action itself.
Bruno lacked self belief against big American names, but Hide was younger smaller and had no credibility being only (ever) a WBO champion. He didn't have the power to hurt Bruno.
I didn't see any punch connect for the second (final) knockdown. Definitely not the right hand, maybe just brushed him with the left before it. I think after that first knockdown Hide just decided to call it a night. And who can blame him.
GhostBlade hide did manage to wobble Bowe a few times and looked like he was doing some damage, but againt vitali, his punches are merely too weak to bother him. Hide landed a few punches solid but vitali didn't even blink!!!!!!

you can run but you can't hide
but he tried...
Віталля молодець.. приємні ностальгічні кадри :)

Knut A Brandal Nothing sad about the cut, Lewis punched holes in his face
The Klitschko's are and were the best from 98 to 2015 💯 they will be missed but ache he'd everything had every heavyweight belt big respect 👌🏻✌️🇮🇪🇩🇪🇷🇼
One of my favourite fights ever this.
and then it turned out he had one of the best chins in heavyweight history and was extremely brave as well...
Vitali is boss.
Everybody pointing out how slow and awkward Vitali is.

People who cry about how boring the Klitschkos are haven't watched enough of this guy's fights.
George Foreman
Considering Bowe lost one fight in his career (and that a close one) I wouldn't say it makes Hide less for having lost to him.

Vitali - is a real CHAMP forever !
Hard to believe the bookmakers had Hide the favorite to win. Guess they had forgot when he fought Bowe he was being staggered by jabs and had went to the canvas 7 times over 6 rounds.

He had the choice of being a great cruiserweight or a decent heavyweight. he chose the latter.
jaocheu stating the obvious there lad.
I caught if from you
When Hide got hit he remembered his fight against Bowe and lost all belief that he can do something to the big guy.
you can tell how well they have looked after themselves both guys still look like this. amazing. This fight is a bit like drago-creed.
Anyone who says this was a fix is a spastic.
RoidWatch Can't say that now, can you. Or mental. Got everything I need now mate. Thanks.
The same thing as with Bowe, Hide was a total nervous wreck when facing strong opponents. That +giving away that much reach to a strong defensive guy...
Check out Vitali-Corrie Sanders
Exciting PROPER Fight
Looks like Ronnie Corbett went to the fitting for Hide's shorts.
Klitschko vs Herbie the Love Bug..this is why Vitali`s last name ends in KO!
Riddick Bowe called Hide the hardest hitting boxer he ever faced. Well ... Klitschko didn't know that fact and just did his job in the ring.
is that vitali or ric flair
Joshua v this version of Vitali (still a bit green), who wins?
Vitali
They aren't in the same weight division
Dive!Dive!
This is like Apollo Creed v Ivan Drago
Norman Wisdom 11.13. 6.23 Axl Rose?
Hide fought very well. But a man can not knock out a tank.
Hide was fighting. other opponents try to survive . so ---how it can be interesting? a football team which kick the ball all the time out.
16:00 the jab of vitali doesnt look hard there but i dont want get it from vitali neither
HIDE proven for what he was .
Hide took a dive. Those punches barely touched his shoulder.
***** Yup. I think Hide felt the power in r.1 and didn't want anymore so he quit.
***** Sorry I meant beginning of round 2. Vitali hurt Hide and I think he didn't want anymore of it so he got the hell out of there and took his check.

Bascorasco do u blame him look at the size of vitali
Hide is not that smart to act like it was a dive.
Bascorasco You are blind pal.....Vitali nailed him.
The referee did a good job , he didn't screw Vitali up like they do to Wlad
Herbie hide was a decent fighter be need to stop hating
Mediocre at best, way too small for the big heavyweights.
Herbie had balls of steel, probably too small for a heavyweight but he never bottled it. And he could hit, Bowe said he was the hardest puncher he ever faced.
Alot of people saying fixed. I heard he fought Bent fight. Oh no I did'nt ha ha ha ,
Hide had a glass jaw. As soon as he got hit he went down and if he got hit by a big hitter he stayed down. Bruno was a big hitter and Hide wasn't big enough to hurt him. Bruno wins, KO 5
He didn't have a glass jaw you muppet, also he was a big hitter, do your research, see what Bowe says about him.
Big Hand.
Herb ie hide was just too small simple as that, if he was bigger he would of been a great heavyweight.
6:19
that is how to shut commentators mouth ohh yesss
Crap commentary. Both of them spent nearly the entire first round speculating on Hide's future opponents, comments on past opposition, and what his tactics should be for this fight, rather than the action itself.
Bruno lacked self belief against big American names, but Hide was younger smaller and had no credibility being only (ever) a WBO champion. He didn't have the power to hurt Bruno.
Didn't have the power? See what Bowe has to say about that.
Hide needed cu's in his corner
Hide was only champion of a Mickey Mouse organization.
I didn't see any punch connect for the second (final) knockdown. Definitely not the right hand, maybe just brushed him with the left before it. I think after that first knockdown Hide just decided to call it a night. And who can blame him.
WBO doesn't even count. It's the least prestigious belt. Only WBA, WBC and IBF count
Hide threw the fight.
blah blah blah/ He threw the fight
12:52 got dropped like a sack of shit by two monster hits.
the last punch that hit him landed right on his temple...
He got knocked the fuck out.
charismatic9904
Your place or mine?
Yes, Hide threw the fight against Vitali Klitschko just like he did against Riddick Bowe.
GhostBlade hide did manage to wobble Bowe a few times and looked like he was doing some damage, but againt vitali, his punches are merely too weak to bother him. Hide landed a few punches solid but vitali didn't even blink!!!!!!
bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Ghost Ko...
What a bullshit???
h kkj
WTF!!! Look in speed 0.5.. Hide no punched by the hand of Klitschko
I was thinking the same. Definitely not with right hand. Maybe the left before it, but hardly touched. Do you think Hide just had enough already?
I dont know.. Hide lost in the same features with Riddick Bowe for the WBO heavyweight title.. I think he go for easy money
